And people still think Teh loves Oh.How? He confessed his feelings to Jai when his boyfriend sitting next door. He…
HUMAN man, that's who. It is perfectly realistic and natural, and it happens all the time, that people develop intense crushes on others even as they continue to love their partner. It is what they do in response that matters. And THAT is where Teh has fucked up so far...
I don't see how they can fix this in one episode. If we do get a happy ending I feel its going to be rushed!
They can get them back together, or right to the edge of getting back together, and leave us hanging on a cliff for season 3. I think Teh has already made a monumental choice that's going to rock this story.
What is this great message that ITSAY conveyed to us? I think IPYTM is beautifully written and very realistic. Just because you are not getting the story YOU wanted does not mean anyone fucked up. I've cried lots of times during this series but I don't feel that screenwriters and directors owe me some fantasy story I've made up in my mind. It would be boring as hell if Teh and Oh just did everything perfectly and there were no conflicts. Who would watch that?
I do, however, totally agree about the hair. I hated the orange. But oddly, seeing that Oh had given it up made me sad.
This is written so well and realistically, but GODDAMMIT, I DO NOT WANT THEM TO BREAK UP.
It is so very realistic that Teh developed a strong crush on Jai during rehearsals, even without Jai's heartless and shameless manipulation. Theatre people know there are always rehearsal/show romances and crushes. It is almost impossible, given the intensity of work, emotion, the rehearsal bubble that develops, intimacy, a feeling of solidarity and sharing that crushes and romances would NOT happen. The most important thing, however, is HOW you handle it. Teh, being extremely naive, has apparently not learned this lesson, even though he's in his junior year and must have done other shows by now.
Jai needs to be crucified. This show has brought out a vindictive/vengeful side I'm not sure I knew I had. The cavalier attitude that Jai takes toward his totally unprofessional and unethical mode of directing, and the fact that he is fucking with people's lives, pisses me off to no end. I really, really, want something bad to happen to him. Where is one of those slow-approaching BL cars that are constantly killing and maiming other BL actors when you need it? I was hoping word would get out and he'd lose his degree and any chance at that NY gig.
Poor Teh. I didn't realize how bad he had it for Jai. I thought having Jai cut their rehearsal smooch short and walk away with the statement that he should use that feeling in the play, would be enough to make the situation clear. It was not. Man, he was nursing that crush right up until Jai and he talked during the closing night party and even after, when he was staring at him while he sang with Oh. I did kind of hate Teh in that moment. He's so lost in his own head he doesn't 'realize the pain he causes others, especially Oh. Oh should have hit Teh right in the head/face with that bouquet. But even then, poor Oh is simply too fucking nice for his own good.
My heart really badly wants Teh and Oh to end up together, but my head understands where Oh is coming from on breaking up. How can he trust Teh again? Teh wants to be an actor. Can Oh look forward to one of these crushes/affairs during each show Teh does? I believe Teh does love Oh, but he has very little self-control. You can have a crush on someone, even while you're in love with someone else. It's what, if anything, you do about it that matters. Actually, I think it is best for actors to have significant others who are NOT in the business so that at least one-half of the couple has both feet grounded in reality. But in this case, at least at this point, Oh can't be trusted to know what's best for himself.
Talent agency reps do NOT walk up to Junior-year college actors who just performed in a student-directed play and offer them a recurring role on a televised series. NOT how it works, unless of course, you have a mom or dad who is already a big cheese in the industry. Teh's offer of an acting gig of that magnitude, right out of the blue, is one of the only false notes I've picked up on in the plot/writing of this show.
I am so glad Oh has that circle of supportive friends. It breaks my heart to see his suffering. He wants so badly to let go of Teh but he just cannot find a way to make it so. Teh is his soulmate, grounded firmly in Oh's heart and soul...he's going to have a hard time recovering from this.
Best two actors in BL Universe. Not even close. This show makes me cry...a lot. The writing, for the most part, is superb and realistic. I saw the first comment below this one and apparently we are going to have another go-round of the tiny minority of psycho-BL codependents throwing a hissy-fit all week. FUN!
It sucks Oab had to go live explaining people were leaving hateful comments about his character Jai and attacking…
Don't be silly. All this hysteria and hatefulness from a very tiny minority of the fandom has provided GREAT marketing opportunities for the production company and this video is one of the ways they are going about making the most of it. So no, it doesn't suck at all...Oab the actor gets more attention and publicity, as does the director, writers and the show as a whole.
I believe too many of us buy into the idea that there are hundreds of thousands of these psycho BL fans threatening people and such...it is a teeny, tiny minority. But they are very loud and vocal and visible on social media, so the show responds and makes even more of a big deal out of it, garnering sympathy for Billkin and Oab especially from all the sane fans.
The vast majority of the fandom DOES distinguish between actor and character. It's not a problem. Ever hear the old, old expression "THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY?" Anything that makes noise and draws attention before and during a series is a golden opportunity for the marketing department. I am glad to see that IPYTM is doing a good job milking this for all it's worth.
Go to that page, then scroll down to the red/white boxes where you can select different servers for parts one and two. I always go with Serve O as I don't seem to have any problems with it. Once you click the server, it takes you to another page, scroll down, click on the green box, takes you to the page where the little screen is. There will be pop-ups firing off here and there, just close them as you go. Once the show starts there are no ads. After part one, go back to the red/white box screen and click on part two and do it all over again. lol I do it all the time, you get used to it.
I will say it feels like a minute or two is cut off at the very end, but not enough so that you won't know the ending...it just felt chopped at the end.
I hope, Oh will talk with Teh about what he saw too.He should not hide his feeling to himself.
I loathe him and people like him. Frankly, I hope he is reported to this administration for what he did and loses out on the NY opportunity as a result. He's a predator.
Yes, people do some mistakes, and they pay the price. But in most of cheating conspt Bl, caracters dont pay off. For…
Isn't it great though to be stirred up by a drama and care so much what happens to the characters? That's GOOD stuff. I hate sitting and watching a BL go through the motions of everything we've seen before and just repeat it as the formula they rely on. I think Teh still loves Oh but is put off by the changes in his appearance and dress; he also seems more fem than before. And part of him wants to explore what his artistic/emotional side wants but he is either not brave enough to split with Oh or not ready to let go. I've seen the ep 4 teaser and it looks like Oh is going to hang in there and take measures to deal with that douche bag Jai head-on, but low-key and behind the scenes. Looks like he will be working to STAND BY HIS MAN and forgive, which I think is wonderful. There is a huge difference between being a doormat and aggressively taking steps to preserve your relationship when you feel it's worth preserving and can be repaired. The easy thing would have been for Oh to make a scene, dump Teh and take that student up on his flirtatious offer. But he'd be doing it out of spite and that is a very immature and useless path to follow. However, I would guess that MOST people think it shows strength to go that route. I think it shows weakness.
Now, if the affair goes on and on, and you ignore it and pretend it's not happen because you're afraid to lose your guy and move on, THAT is weakness and fear. That doesn't appear to be what Oh is planning. I'm more and more impressed with his character with every episode, which is saying a lot because I HATE the hair and fashions Oh is wearing. yuck. lol

Came back here just to say, having seen one ep. 4 teaser, that Oh aew appears to be magnificently measured and matured and patient in his response to this crisis. I would like to think I'd do the same, but I would probably have thrown open the door last ep. and made a humongous,, ugly scene...and the ugly truth is I would be doing it just for the fleeting feeling of venting my self-righteous anger and feelings of betrayal. But what good would that really do? A person can always decide to end things later, it doesn't have to happen instantly. I am deeply impressed by the character of Oh aew. And I realized: he holds all the cards. He knows everything and he knows he knows everything, so the other two are a bit clueless right now. Well played, Oh, well played.
I heard about and watched the 33-second episode 4 teaser on Youtube. Are there any other teasers floating around out there?
I was sick to my stomach just going to watch this teaser. That is the powerful effect this show is having on me. I feel pulled at three different directions in what I'd like to see happen. Maybe NO show before this one has taught me so well that it does not matter one bit what I want to see happen. The drama, the director, the writers and the actors are in control and all I can do is hold on for the ride. And I love it! Best BL series and sequel ever! Not even close...
I would do some research on infidelity. People are actually more loyal than you think. The number is way higher…
There is no way your numbers are correct, at least in the USA as applied to married couples.. HALF of all marriages end in divorce, many of those because of or partly because of infidelity. Now consider that by logic a good portion of people in the REMAINING marriages are cheating, even though they aren't splitting up. Now add in the couples in OPEN marriages where they both "cheat" and don't care. I'm with the commenter above you: I'd say ten to twenty percent of people are one hundred percent faithful.

Thought: Any chance Oh might have used his phone to video the makeout? In which case it could be used to blackmail Jai into...disappearing?
