I mean it's def a rich lady, poor guy type sitch, but how did they even get that number!?
Yeah that one is definitely better, although I'd tweak the end of it to better reflect the morbid personality of the character rather than something trivial that make's her seem like a boring cynic.
I just want to say one thing: she cannot really improve... If we go realistic over forced happy Disney ending,…
yeah, honestly I would like to see her improve a little even if it's out of selfishness, but there's no such thing as a cure for this and if the drama tries to pull that I'll be frustrated.
WHAT IF MOON YOUNG AND NAM JOORI ARE RELATED MAYBE THEY'RE SISTERS OR SOMETHING THEY KIND LOOK ALIKE AND THEY…
They have different mothers at the very least, pretty sure Juri doesn't like her cause they used to be friends but Moon Young doesn't know boundaries and probably treated her like absolute crap.
mental illnesses are not to be romanticized just bc the person having it is successful, beautiful and has a great…
Honestly I can't tell if the writer is yet, because the character herself is definitely trying to portray wicked perfection, but the drama seems to be highlighting how dangerously crazy she is.
I don't even care if the drama tells a story where they don't improve as people as long as it's interesting. I do care when other fans start praising her horrid behavior.
So... I will always complain about an obessive possessive stalker type... it's why I tend to dislike Lee Min Ho…
"We can complain about the drama if the writing, direction or other technical aspects aren't upto yr expectation but we cannot complain about the reaction of the fans right ?" I mean, you could complain about the fans actions as well, just don't start insulting their character.
" They are simply enjoying their beautiful idol nothing more." If someone is condoning this type of behavior in the comments, than it's not 'nothing more'.
"But its unfair to show hate towards the show" Umm.... I'm not??
"n try to bring in a new narrative in terms of protagonist n story telling." I mean new narrative isn't inherently a virtue..
"Let us not judge a show by the reaction of the fans." I'm still not... I actually like this show, and only take issue when fans defend behavior such as stalking. I don't even take issue with Xingback personally for posting this, I just disagree with them on this one thing.
Oh crap, if my sis had told me that's how it ends I never would have started the drama version of beauty inside......I'm…
that's frustrating. it's not like it'd even matter when she switches faces... I already kinda dropped that one cause ML's acting is cringey as, but I never would have even started had I known they went that route.
I admire the ambition to write a story about mental health, but is no one thinking that they will magically be…

I'm hoping this goes the slow rate of not curing, but learning to live with it like they do with his brother. I'm not sure if the visit with the expert is ML trying to 'fix' his brother or merely trying to help him deal with the butterfly trauma and keep it from making things worse.
PS, I recommend the beauty inside movie, it was fantastic.

I'm not saying it's bad writing, in fact I wouldnt expect less from her character, I'm disagreeing with the poster's "but also they are "childhood friends" and with the story in the 1st ep it seems they were close, so she's not stalking him, they're 'reconnecting'." just because they knew eachother doesn't mean it's not stalking or okay. I have no problem watching dramas with these elements, but Lee Min Ho stalker types usually are a 'stalk/beat them into submission type thing' and the drama and fans tend to play that off as okay.
I don't remember what it was, but there was a drama where lead was a stalker type and totally changed by the end with the drama narratively acknowledging it's bad behavior. Even if it doesn't do this I might still watch it for the story of a stalker, but the moment fans start defending or deflecting the bad actions of characters I will say something. <--- this happens a bunch with Lee Min Ho dramas...
Enjoying how nobody makes a comment about her touching his body multiple times. He told her to stop, but she kept…
I was pissed. A similar thing happens in almost all the Jo Jung Suk projects I've seen. for example my main issue with Oh my ghostess, despite loving that show to bits, is that a scene where she pushes him on the bed desperately trying to kiss him is played off as hilarious instead of terrifying. The first episode of Jealousy incarnate Gong Hyo Jin's character, instead of just explaining, continually poked and prodded his chest despite him asking her to stop. I've had a ton of convos where feminists start a convo about the R word of which I bring up (not in a discreditory manner) male harassment issues, and they usually laugh, say 'they had it coming' or 'they should have defended themselves', or deny such things even occur. It doesn't seem to be much different here in Korea, but on the bright side I haven't personally run into as many third wave feminists.
I really hope the drama completely steers away from that.
Main issue is the comments commended her actions as badass and brave, diminishing how negative they really are.

Yup, I also very much have issues with the FL's behavior

also since when did fiction have to be realistic?
