What about Ashes of Love and Eternal Love? I think this is a great drama, but not quite as good.
Me to. Like you i also prefer more romance between the leads. Do you recommend any good dramas like this?

Well I've just completed Ancient Love Poetry and it's awesome. For me it's as good as L&R, EL and AOL. Im planning to watch You Are My Glory, it looks good but at the moment I'm watching So I Married An Anti-Fan.

Yes and yes. Romance is not the focus. even though it's listed as a romance genre. And you can always tell by…
Lol, it's not about reality being sad, people want to experience different things, things they can't find in reality and feeling good watching happy endings is human nature. If you're ok with a sad, violent, toxic ending congratulations, you're the minority.

Off topic. What are the laws on assault in South Korea? I noticed in many Kdramas employees are often slapped, punched and kicked by their employers without punishment. When I first started watching Kdramas I thought it was just a one off scene, but when I realised it was occurring many times I thought this must be happening in reality. It's ludicrous, it's assault, if this happened in my country the employer would never get away with it and be severely punished. It's like they're still living in the Joseon dynasty.

Well of course the majority would prefer a happy ending, it's common sense. When people watch dramas they put themselves in these fantasy worlds living in the shoes of the leading characters to escape their own reality.

Cool thanks. How are the subtitles? Are they accurate and all there? Sometimes I've noticed in dramas on web sites the subtitles are missing in patches throughout the show, it's frustrating.

This series was quite cheesy and absurd. The FL was annoying most of the series and ML an eye-candy. Typical shoujo…
Toxic in what way?

The only Xianxia drama that I think could come close is Love and Destiny have you check this out?
Yes recently saw it, very good drama but not as good as the ones i mentioned. Ashes of Love, Eternal Love, Ancient Love Poetry and Love and redemption are the best so far.

This drama was good, it dragged in parts, but there weren’t too many. Yeo Jin Goo was pretty good as the real…
In what episode does the FL discover he's not the real King?

At some point I also thought that the story was about Baijue, and if it's close to the novel, then it's twice…
Yep you read it correctly, believe it

I just finished this drama and my god it's one of the best ones I've ever watched. I never thought a drama could beat or equal Ashes of Love and Eternal Love, but this one just has. Right from the beginning to the end I was engaged in every episode and that's unusual for a drama longer than 24 episodes. I just love how the leads are always together from beginning to end in one way or another, no huge misunderstandings and the few there are gets resolved quickly, no love triangles that get you frustrated, the leads don't fall for stupid tricks that cause break ups and more importantly the FL is not naive, ignorant, oblivious, slow witted and foolish that we often see in Cdramas. It's a 10 out of 10 for me. If anyone can recommend a drama that you believe is on this level it would be appreciated.

Disagree. It's more romantic when the ML is the hero and saves the FL. It's in our DNA, it's how we evolved, it's how it was, is and always will be.
