since you read the webtoon, watching the previews for ep 7&8, do you think the series will end in ep 8 or there's…
The webtoon is 141 chapters in total, i think 12 episodes would have been better as opposed to 8 to flesh it all out but im looking forward to the last 2 eps!

I have only read 80 chapter's of the webtoon as thats whats available in my region (im from UK so theres very limited availability here) but from what it seems like they are following the webtoon by sticking to the main points & i think they will wrap up in the last 2 episodes judging by how fast paced it is. Each episode covers around 25 chapters of the webtoon. The last 2 episodes covered upto 80 chapter of the webtoon. So i beleve the last 2 eps will cover the remainder of webtoon. Even if there was a s2 it would be a while as NJH comes back from military sep 2024 & considering filming times & production, s2 wouldnt really come out until 2026.
for those that have read the webtoon, what chapter are we in the webtoon???
They are only sticking to the main points of the webtoon and are covering around 25 chapters per episode. I think they will end it , s2 doesnt seem very likely
Cheif monster has a strong abilty to read people so it was mainly through gut feeling but the pivotal point was the hospital scene when him & ji yong walked past eachother. From vigilante actions, he realised it was someone within the police & basically put 2&2 together
It appears that many panels featuring KangOk have been removed, and this has left me feeling quite sad and disappointed.…
I feel bad for Lee JoonHyuk fans bc out of all 4 cast members, he has the least screen time. I think it would have been better to give kang ok more screen time as opposed to reporter choi. They have cut alot from the webtoon, even adding certain scenes of jiyong & his internal conflict would have been great for the story, but they have had to cram it all into 8 eps so we are left with loose ends really
Shes okay but i think she lacks charisma needed for the role.
I noticed that & another person pointed that out too. The reporter that died had died saving her ass too lol & she just watched. But yeah compared to chief monster & fake vigilante, shes not really on par.
I think the reason why I loved the ending of ep 5 so much (chief monster vs jiyong) is bc that scene actually had so much depth & I feel like that's sort of what vigilante has been lacking (in comparison to the webtoon) just bc of how fast paced it is (just my opinion btw)
there better be a second season for this... becoz this seems more like the beginning of a storm. they can really…
Im trying to figure out what route they will take. Yoo ji tae has mentioned s2 a few times but i thimk thats just bc he really enioyed the role. Not sure if they will leave it at an open ending for s2 or wrap it all up in 2 eps. Vigilante story itself has so much potential & i dont really like how its been crammed into 8 eps. 12 eps would have been better. I think reading the webtoon fiddled with my expectations
i have so many questions and i really wonder how they will wrap up the last 2 episodes
Honestly im intrigued to know too. Wonder if they will leave it as an opening ending or just somehow wrap it all up. The eps are really short which really makes you wonder how this will all end
Okay I have watched ep5&6 and I am just gathering my thoughts.
The ending of episode 5 was the best performance so far in vigilante and i am sure many agree with this. Im so glad they put that extra focus on the showdown between Chief Monster & Kim Ji Yong bc it pretty much explains why Kim Ji Yong does what he does as well as shows how flawed the Korean law system is. The monologue, the acting, the tension. Sunbae Yoo Ji Tae and Nam Joo-Hyuk, take a bow! Both actors did so well in this scene. The way they portrayed anger and frustration. I am so proud of Joo-Hyuk. The role of Kim Ji Yong has really allowed him to show his hidden skills & talents that his previous role Limited him in (I still love his previous roles but stepping out the heartthrob role was a good decision). I was blown away by his acting & I really hope Joo-Hyuk takes on more roles in the future.
I feel like Chief Monster deep down inside agrees & sympathises with Ji Yong, he knows the law is messed & so is the police force but he also has to bring him back to reality, in a way his trying to save Ji Yong (even through he tried to kill him too haha)
I am really intrigued to know how they wrap up the last 2 episodes. I'm wondering if they really did leaving it as an open ending to raise the opportunity of a season 2? Sunbae Yoo Ji Tae has mentioned the hope of a season 2 in a few interviews now.
I still feel like Kim Ji Yongs character & parts of the story could have done with more depth. We don't really see his thoughts but I guess his monologue in ep 5 sort of made up for that. They have skipped some parts of the webtoon & I do wish they showed the scenes of KJY nightmares & him almost throwing up from his overwhelming emotions. I still feel slightly disappointed in the fight with Kang Ok in ep 4 as it was much more intense in webtoon but in the drama they made it more comic relief & its one of the scenes I was looking forward too.
All in all, Vigilante is a series which keeps you hooked bc of the tension, fight scenes and cliffhanger endings. It's a good series. But just could do with more depth. If it was 12 eps, they could have fleshed it out alot more. I'm sad we are nearing the end though.
