I think you mean the emperor & yeah he is cruel but not the main villain of the story which in itself is mind boggling considering what a brute the emperor already is. And for someone else to become the villain they will have to be even worse than him!
A person irritating you on purpose doesn't excuse an unreasonable response.Of course, a person who holds the position…
Well said. He has been nuts since he lost his wife but c'mon man up! You the emperor. Act like it. What is with the cruelty? This guy needs some major whipping IMO.
And yeah. Considering the historical setting. An emperor abusing his concubine/consort was extremely common. And not just the emperor the bloody society was like that. Most noble households had this happening.
I was thinking that too.. she locks like the pity type , but sceaming plots. I just hope she isn't pregnant now…
Oh no. I don't want Tilan to be with Emperor. Even though Emperor is a tool he doesn't deserve that woman. And yeah I think there is immense plotting happening between Lord/Prince Chang & General Tang. Not sure if Tilan is involved too.
Just watched E23-24 preview, and it's begun, Sifu is starting to push Hai Shi away. So Sifu did kiss Hai Shi (a…
The book is a tragedy but notice how the tags here show only historical, fantasy, wuxia, romance. So I'm thinking crazy emperor & HS get together to mope about their failed romances.
my question : didn't the emperor know all this time minister shu had bad intentions towards the FJM? or didn't…
The emperor is a total tool however much they try to justify his crazy behaviour as effects of heartbreak. I think the emperor suspects that is why he demoted general Su to Commander in Chief but as he doesn't have evidence he can't really remove him from his post. Moreover, Mr. Su isn't a simple man. He has quite a few aces in his pocket still (refer in ep 14 where he wondered if someone will pay his favour back by killing Fang Zhu) also he was waiting for a response from enemy ships I think.
Squid Game capitalised on the hallyu wave and is on the top ten most watched list on Netflix in all English-speaking countries.
Everyone is watching it because they know someone else who watched it (I am talking about non-Asian people who don't even watch Asian dramas). So this helped people who don't watch K-shows to watch it. While Kingdom did well on Netflix too it is based on Korean culture. AIB wasn't able to capture the global viewers while Squid Games has a global appeal. There are so many English movies based on this genre that Squid Games was able to sell itself with just the premise.
I am a drama freak, I watched one episode and didn't like it but my friends who don't watch Asian drama have all seen Squid Games. Kind of like how many people have seen the Spanish film 'The Platform'.
The English Dub version also helps in hitting it big on Netflix globally IMO.
