If Da On ends up with TK then I don't expect a Season Two. The series is about TK's first love. If Shinwoo doesn't prevail then Da On is the first love and that's that.
And do we really want to wait months only to have expectations crushed again? Because every Season Two is about a couple breaking up then getting back together again. If Season One of this series ends badly then I'm done with it, period.
As the series reaches its final episode your article should be required reading for the Jae Eon apologists and romanticizers on the drama's MDL page. For me at this point whenever he appears on screen I shrink back as though the campus vampire has just showed up at the blood bank.
Will the series stay true to Jae Eon's amoral nature, or will it attempt to convince us of the ultimate cliche, that a person so selfish and uncaring would suddenly be transformed by love?
This is one of the very first kdramas I watched after subscribing to Viki, and having recently revisited it I have to say that lightning really did strike with this one -- perfect cast, fantastic script, just funny and sweet from start to finish. Years from now we'll look back on this one as one of the great classics of Asian drama.
Leon ... what can I say ... his visuals are off the charts. When he's onscreen he's the only one I want to look at.
It's going to take me a while to realize that James, the actor who plays Pod, is *not* Louis Thanalin, who played Meen in "Fish Upon the Sky". They look so alike to me. However, Louis gave one of the most dismal performances of the year in FUTS, so I expect that James will quickly distinguish himself by not delivering his lines like a mentally challenged robot.
This episode had more Satha and Nut than any so far. I still don't know why they suddenly started to get along but this was one of the better weeks.
I guess nobody thought that naming a series "My Boy" and then including a character named Boy would be confusing, especially when that character turns out to be a villain (although a hot villain to be sure.)
A few things:Why JE is the right partner1. partners are great if they can support each other in areas they need…
Interesting. I loved Sol's comment but with Jae Eon not even willing to tell Na Bi that he doesn't really have a girlfriend (he had another chance to do that in this episode -- and I think he just smiled to himself) she'd be deluded to think he likes her in some romantic, unspoken way.
He might be better positioned to help her with her career but he'd be a tomcat till the end. I don't think the price for her success should be her self-esteem and emotional security. Once he got her to "date" him he'd be cheating on her left and right. The key to his own self-esteem is his skill at seduction. That's why Na Bi's indifference to him now is driving him crazy -- it's not because he's realized that he loves her.
THE TERRIFYINGLY BORING PHONE EPISODE WITH NO SUBTITLES. If you are insane you might enjoy this. Since there were…
I'm sure it's because of COVID restrictions in Thailand.
I suppose they could have just said the series was done after Episode 13 and chucked the idea of Episodes 14 and 15, but people would have bitched about that too.
So, due to COVID the guys were probably all filmed at home, wearing their own clothes with their hair grown out and styled the way they usually have it, and probably not much makeup on either.
Phob doesn't even appear on-camera. Maybe his home is too far for a crew to get there due to the lockdown.
I'll say, though, that for his everyday look Copy takes the prize ... what a honey!
I guess they could have delayed filming but that would have been risky since by the time things open up again the crew and cast might have other commitments. (That's what happened with "Word of Honor" ... but filming hadn't started yet so they could recast the roles, and of course the result was magic.)
With TST, though, we get interminable phone conversations that do nothing to advance the story. I've enjoyed the series a lot but I'm prepared for a lackluster finale. Sad.
Since Jaeon's actions towards Nabi have always been creeping me out (even getting worse in the last few episodes),…
I like the way this episode seems to show him slowly becoming unhinged. His usual tricks are failing him -- not only with Na Bi but with the ex who dropped the lighter in the garbage.
His true colors showed when he gloated over Do Hyuk's reaction to seeing him and Na Bi walk into her apartment.
Jae On is super messed up. It's obvious that his biggest problem is that he's losing out to another guy.
When he admitted to Na Bi that he'd seen Do Hyuk outside her apartment and boasted that Do Hyuk looked like he was going to cry ... that was a singular moment that revealed his true character. He's rotten to the core.
I would love an ending that finds him on his own again, back at that bar picking up a new victim.
I'm halfway through and the ML is still aloof, running hot and cold and sending mixed signals.
He has kept up this attitude so relentlessly that I'm hoping someone can spoil this for me: do we eventually learn about something from his background that has made him so unapproachable -- something that the FL manages to break through? Or is this just what the character is like, period. (Which would be so unimaginative.) Thanks!
In Episode 15, TK is up on stage, giving his acceptance speech after winning the Prince contest, and he thanks Shiwoon and Daon for their friendship and support, then finishes by thanking Shinwoo in the form of a public confession.
Then Episode 16 serves up lots of SW/TK fluff while tying up the loose ends for Daon, Shiwoon, and (eye-roll) So Hee.
Did they think we'd be touched by Shiwoon giving her flowers? The feeling was more like seeing that she'd gotten away with murder.
And do we really want to wait months only to have expectations crushed again? Because every Season Two is about a couple breaking up then getting back together again. If Season One of this series ends badly then I'm done with it, period.
If the way this ends is with Shinwoo all alone while that wicked creature So Hee gets rewarded with Shiwoon then this series is truly messed up.

I guess you fast-forwarded a little too fast last week. ;)

If Phob doesn't want Namo I'll take him!

Please, BL gods ... I pray to thee.
