Ending of Ep 6 thoughts... Awww... Poor Nont... Aww Holding hands... EEEK I hope that watch is waterproof.
Many watches are water resistant, which means they can withstand being submerged in water for a certain amount of time but not indefinitely. Being splashed with waves should be no problem.
Ok I totally didn't like how they alternate the scenes between valen and kaitoon with non being alone kabdksns…
Yes! What are they trying to do with the Non character? He only makes Kaitoon look shallow and thoughtless, which isn't a good look for a main lead lol.
The acting is pretty good, but the story is 😬 like tbh what are Valen’s redeeming qualities? He’s still…
I don't think he's spoiled. I think he's afraid. He wants so badly to express his attraction to Kaitoon but he's so used to failure that he doesn't trust that it would go well.
Kaitoon has a major character flaw in standing people up .... not just once, but three times!
And Non has a character flaw in that he doesn't get the message. Maybe he will now. Overall I think it was dumb to incorporate this character into the series. He compromises our perception of Kaitoon to the point that we might believe that Kaitoon is insincere toward Valen as well.
With that out of the way, I like this a lot. For me the series gets better and better. It seems I'm in a vast minority with that opinion, but I like how the series stays true to Valen's character. He is so guarded but trying in his own way to let Kaitoon know that he likes him. What a struggle! This is a guy who grew up feeling unloved. He's dealing with a lifetime's worth of rejection and self-pity. He has a big chip on his shoulder and I think the series does a great job of showing how he is struggling to open up to Kaitoon while at the same time being so fearful of rejection.
I like how Kaitoon is waking up to realizing that Valen is a person with a history and a reason for behaving the way he does.
King and Ice. I'm interested to see where that goes. I appreciate that the series throws these wrenches into the works. There we are, thinking we're going to watch a story arc about King and Peat reconciling in a standard way, and here comes Ice. The age difference is big enough that I wonder if the series will dare to introduce a romantic element to their relationship. It certainly makes me interested to see Part 2.
The only thing I remember is him trying to get Tharn and Type to break up. What else was he up to?
It doesn't. My whole point in all my recent posts is that they're scrubbing away that past history and replacing it with charity work. I don't know why you think I'm judging people for hooking up.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. I actually find Pob very adorable. I think he and Leon make…
I like that Pob isn't conventionally attractive and instead is cute and sweet. For some reason it makes me trust that Leon is serious about pursuing him. Leon has finally met someone who is capable of taming him.
The only thing I remember is him trying to get Tharn and Type to break up. What else was he up to?
Well, I make a distinction between "dating" and "going on a date". When you're dating someone it's implied that you're interested in a relationship and it's possible you're not seeing anyone else. Whereas going on a date might or might not be a one-time thing -- and it might be a hookup.
I don't object to hookups -- I object to this series revising Fiat's past.
In "Don't Say No", if that guy from the hookup in TT2 were to show up they'd say that Fiat had met up with him to help find the guy's stolen puppy and that the dognapper wouldn't give the puppy back unless Fiat had sex with him.
Who do they think they're kidding with this nonsense?
I was looking forward to a series that explored what it would be like to be someone with a promiscuous past who's finally trying to settle down in a monogamous relationship. Fiat would have struggled with how others had come to view him along with some remaining impulses for sexual adventure.
The only thing I remember is him trying to get Tharn and Type to break up. What else was he up to?
He was doing Grindr style hookups. There's a scene in TT2 where he's eating with a guy he met online and waiting for Leo to phone him from London. He's more or less ignoring the other guy until he realizes that Leo isn't going to call, so then he decides to "finish" the date so to speak.
I think because we are seeing him helping out a friend from an abusive relationship and now this, we think that…
Time will tell. For the rest of the series, if they come up with one benevolent explanation after another for every seemingly slutty toss in Fiat's past then it's all a whitewash and the series is shit.
For any of us who were watching BL as recently as 2018, who would have imagined that a stunning series like this would come along?
I actually like the fact that the BL relationship isn't the dramatic center of "Peach of Time". It means that writers are starting to think of BL as more than a monolithic genre where tropes need to be recast in various guises and two boys need to end up in a relationship by the end.
This production team has worked hard to deliver something startling and new, and I look forward to each new episode and the surprises I know it will have in store.
Maybe it's a setup for Peat to discover King in the apartment with the shirtless Ice and flip out.
I was wondering how was King painting the shirtless model when the kid was seated on the couch with the armrest blocking the view of his body?
