Why do I feel like they know each other. Or, they've met before, but only Jung Woo knows Do Gun while Do Gun isn't…
You might be onto something. So many dramas put in that kind of a twist. It would certainly explain why Jung Woo seems to be singing that love song to Do Gun at the end.
Jung Woo is not a nice guy. Throughout the first two episodes he's smug and annoying. Was that song at the end supposed to imply he's falling in love? Girl, please. The only person he loves is himself.
It will be interesting to see how the writers try to turn this arrogant ass into someone worth caring about. For me right now it's *yuck*, no sale.
The owner of the restaurant is a jerk too. Who'd want to work for someone who engineers this kind of sneak attack on your livelihood?
I know this is a fantasy, but the whole premise is ridiculous. No one would think that two competing chefs in…
The owner is evil to do that to him. His trust in her should be gone and he's demeaning himself by staying and entering a contest with such an arrogant ass.
In the first part the conversation about Mix being in a funk went on about 4x as long as it needed to, and that set the trend for every scene after it getting stretched to the limits of human endurance.
And for the entire episode nothing really happened! They could have left the whole thing on the cutting room floor and nothing would have been lost.
Which isn't surprising when 10 minutes of material is padded to 40.
For me a messy roommate like Mix would make it pretty easy to decide between him and Ryu.
I enjoyed it but never really got invested in the relationship between the two main characters. And as the final episode ended I didn't have a compelling need to know what happens next.
I was honestly more worried that they wouldn't show us Eun Gyu with his new haircut. :)
So for me this series is a confection that I could enjoy while watching it but then have no problem moving on to the next.
If the movie *furthers* the story instead of just compiling all the episodes into one, maybe that will turn the whole thing around. I'm looking forward to seeing what the movie brings us.
(P.S., is it just me who thinks Kim Yoo Hwan looks uncannily like New Thitipoom?)
Humor about food that the chef doesn't realize tastes bad has been done thousands of times but that scene made me LOL for real.
Given the first episode and the preview for next week I'd say that if this *doesn't* end up with the three guys in a relationship together it will be a huge fakeout and a major disappointment.
It was interesting that both couples had intimate scenes, and Leo & Fiat's was quite a bit more explicit, but…
I don't bother with the love scenes between Leo and Fiat anymore. They look 100% choreographed and the actors don't seem comfortable. I skipped today's, and from what I'm reading here it doesn't sound like I missed anything new.
But I do miss the in-your-face Fiat. He's much better as a bad boy. In TT2 he was disagreeable but sexy. In this series his helplessness has neutered the character for me.
You hit the nail on the head when you say that Pob is innocent and inexperienced but not weak.
I've finished watching it. Oniranu oshi. Anyways. Back to my spinoff idea of leo and fiat's friends. The older…
I think Anda is really hot. I say that as a gay man, but whoever styled her really pitched it just right. A storyline with her and Nat as a couple would be so much fun.
I think that Ja and First still do "cuddling" exceptionally well. When they snuggle up it looks relaxed and genuine. As soon as they go farther, though, I can barely watch. In fact I skipped over their love scene today.
But that intimate scene with Smart and James. Wow! So sexy yet so tender. When it started with Pob saying "Thank you for waiting," I was truly touched. Then I was worried they'd cut away before Leon finished unbuttoning and removing his shirt, but they didn't, and I really liked the way Leon kissed Pob before finally revealing his beautiful body. The exchange that came immediately after that ("Look at me, Pob ...") was very sweet.
Damn, I get butterflies just thinking about it!
Honestly, I've wondered how Mame would even be capable of writing the Leon-Pob side story with so much insight and care. But then I remember that Ae was a sensitive lover to Pete in LBC. I wish she would stick to that kind of character and plot.
As for the final moments of the episode, I know there will be some wacky explanation for what Fiat saw so I'm not worked up about it.
Oh well.

I hope things improve next week.

Cdramas do this a lot.
