We're on Ep 12 and I'll say it again... MIJOO, GIRL. BEST FEMALE LEAD. I can't believe I'd comment this after…
It's funny, when I was scouting a new drama to watch, as soon as I saw she was in this one there was no turning back. Her work is just so real and engaging.
It's great to read a review from someone who appreciates the series. You're not alone, it's just that the comment page got so full of ridiculous accusations and self-righteousness that it was no longer fun to participate.
I just REALLY like the idea of monos and probes and they hinted about how different the relationships between…
I saw it as an intended twist at the end for an 'ah-ha' moment where you suddenly realize that there had been a mutual fulfillment all along, and that this dynamic (along with their attraction to each other) would ensure a lasting bond between them. I thought it was quite creative and moving. I agree that it would be interesting to know more but given the short format of the series I'm glad they went with the surprise reveal instead.
It's like the ending of an O. Henry short story, or a mystery where the viewer learns who the killer is only at the very end and a back story is revealed within a couple minutes' time.
The idea of adding a subplot about probes hunting down monos ... well, let's just say I'm really glad they didn't try to squeeze that in. :)
The casting of Ge Bi is interesting, as is the depiction of him here as a relentless flirt. Having seen the other version of the drama I was a bit taken aback when he seemed to be hitting on Luo Zhi.
Why do I get the feeling that this version will omit the older rich guy and end up pairing Bai Li with Ming Rui instead?
I personally like this over the first one, however that is my opinion. I also see a lot of people comparing this…
The first one is one of my favorite dramas of all, but this one is very appealing on its own.
At this point I feel as though the two are so different that comparing them is beside the point. I can tell that I will enjoy this on its own -- unlike the Korean remake of 'A Love So Beautiful', where the two versions are so much in lockstep that comparisons are inevitable.
I don't like the directions they are talking Soo Jin in. I know her background and the toxic environment but that's…
No matter where they take the character for now, given the way the series has encouraged our sympathy over her home situation I expect her to get a redemption arc toward the end of the series -- similar to what happened with Soo Ah in Gangham Beauty.
Heon was like a different person in Episode 11. In a good way.
But he didn't get Sol Yi a Christmas present, or even a card. (A hand-my-down scarf doesn't count. It needed to be a gift that had some thought behind it, and if the weather hadn't been cold out then Sol Yi wouldn't have gotten anything.)
Looks like the pace picks up in the next episode. I just wonder if the little snippet of Heon asking that question will turn out to be from either Sol Yi or Heon having a dream.
Pok and Tong for the win! They were the most lively plotline in today's episode.
Two things I've noticed for a lot of Thai series:
1) The college 'dorm rooms' are bigger than my apartment, and the dorm buildings look like apartment buildings.
2) When two guys are roommates they share one bed. (There are exceptions, of course, like in TharnType and Love By Chance.)
As roommates, are Pok and Tong really going to be sleeping in one bed with all that sexual tension between them? Neither of them is going to be able to get a wink of sleep until that gets sorted lol.
alright, I have to ask: is the hair part of the uniform?why make such a big deal out of all the highschoolers…
What I've noticed in Thai dramas, Kdramas, and Cdramas alike is that the boys usually have bangs when they're young then start parting their hair once they get older -- and the dividing line is usually when they go off to university.
There's probably an analogous thing for the girls but it doesn't seem as persistent.
As for Destiny, I what the series *might* be trying to do is to discount Phai's 'vision' as being about the premonition of Thanu getting injured, with Wayu's vision being more about their future relationship.
Meanwhile, Thanu made me laugh for real when he said he would need to keep a distance from Wayu while he took care of Phai. He's starting to look a little nutty haha.
Am I the only one who thinks Wayu is a bit...manipulative? I’ve seen quite a few instances of this. Like, he…
Wayu's constant pity party has bugged me since the beginning. The character is boring so I didn't really care about his storyline, but unfortunately it has taken up a lot of screen time.
After all, Shu Yi is nothing if not competitive, and indeed we saw how much of a reaction it got out of him. :)

And then Wayu was making all that fuss about it and didn't notice.
They must have been filming on a tight schedule that day. LOL
