I'm curious about the decision to go with the endless montages where we see the characters talking but don't hear the dialog. Did they film using an actual script but decide to scrap it?
The Golf-Bank relationship is slow going. I really wish they had worked up some suspense before Bank learned that Golf was alive, and then give us more build-up before their reunion.
The cuteness of Mon, who plays Nuea, is off the charts. I like the Tar-Nu side couple the best.
A distinctive feature of Wayufilms productions is their use of an orchestral score for the OST. One of my lasting memories of the 'My Bromance' movie is how beautiful the music is, and there's the same aesthetic with this series and with 'The Rain Stories' (which is set in the same universe as 'My Bromance'. In fact Golf makes a brief appearance in the second story.)
If you ever rewatch the 'My Bromance' movie, pay special attention to the music that plays under the scenes where Golf finds Bank on Bank's birthday and where Golf rushes to him after Bank's confession. Simply gorgeous.
Of course we understand the limited budget. Of course Bank needs a lot of time everyone he loved lied to his face…
I'm with you. In my experience this studio has a tendency for downer endings so I hope to hell that this series ends on a happy note. It would be really cruel of them to string us along about a sequel for all this time and then deliver one that doesn't have a HEA.
Loved seeing Bew again, and the pairing with P'Tod. So often a series will rush to redeem a wicked character in a way that they don't deserve, but this series made it believable and I for one was happy to see it happen. We ended up caring about Bew and wanting the best for her.
Preen's performance in the role was pitch-perfect. I want to see more from her. GMMTV should team her up with Sammy as two sisters and build a series around them.
I believe we can all agree that we are all satisfied with the ending. Oh, and Namtan (Boom) in a wedding dress!…
You can tell that everybody involved in the production believed in it and wanted to give fans their best. They really aced this one from start to finish. What a great ride!
Heon ... dude, why did you just sit there at the table in the library while that girl constantly picked on Sol Yi?
And your words of consolation at the park bench made the same assumption about her -- that she wouldn't graduate. Of all the people close to her you are the worst at being an actual friend.
The little smile is getting a little tiresome. Man up already.
Everyone's acting improved in Episode 6. I'm happy that it looks like the direction they're going is for Bart to have an impact on Bryce's life and not the other way around.
Hopefully Brendalynne will come to understand that she wasn't able to attract Edwin because Edwin is gay. And, as for Edwin, he must suffer from face blindness if he wasn't able to see how her whole expression and demeanor changed once he revealed that he's into Bart.
One quibble. When a modeling job is presumably to model clothes, it doesn't make sense that Bart was going out to buy his own clothes for the job. Even if he was modeling a toothpaste brand or a shampoo instead of suits, the stylists would decide what he'd wear on camera.
What should GMMTV be learning other than the formula used for this series brings in the viewers?
According to 'World of BL' on Twitter, Episode 8 was the most-viewed BL episode of the entire week with over 1.2M hits. The #2 spot had less than half that.
For their tabulation of most viewed BL series of all time, 'Tonhon' came in at #45 out of 135, beating out 'Why R U', ITSAY, and 'My Engineer'.
As nasty as it sometimes got, this series was full of insight into human nature.
I loved the final look at Music and Good ... each feeling the tug of the person they still have feelings for. And for me when Good was stealing a look at those old photos it was some actual proof that he really does love Boyo. We reveal the deepest truths about ourselves when nobody else is watching.
I had a feeling that the ending would have Earth unattached and in a limbo of sorts. What an amazing story arc beginning with Season 1, where he and Sam seemed like the most stable pair of all.
The final lines of dialog of this film are so offensive and bigoted ... and the characters say them with a giggle. I would say that I hope they get reincarnated as flies who meet their karma in a spider's web, but that would be insulting to flies.
If you are LBGTQ or someone who empathizes, avoid this at all costs.
Despite the usual dash of adolescent humor (hot dog, anyone?) the latest episode has been my favorite so far.
The 'spilled coffee' moment was unexpected and very sexy, and I like that Jaime started to show some self-awareness regarding how he could end up causing trouble for those around him.
I think Win bears some responsibility, though. His defenses against Jaime seem half-hearted and in the end he always gives in.
I think the only way this could resolve positively is if Heart voluntarily gives up Jaime for Win.

Sponsors love those kind of numbers .
If you're looking for skin, AJ and his brother were both shirtless in a locker room scene in 'He's Coming To Me'. ^_^

I would never have guessed that such an unusual concept would hit home so hard. I'm still trying to understand why I react to it so emotionally.
