Just, wow. I felt so uncomfortable with the way Jaime was blatantly coming on to Winston. I mean, did he forget…
We'll probably see Jaime play around with Heart as well. Maybe that's the core conflict for this drama: Heart will be at odds with Winston, and the big question will be who will 'win' Jaime.
Meanwhile, the real winner will be whichever one of them runs in the opposite direction.
I can't NOT watch the rest of this series. It's so over the top that it almost plays like satire.
LOL this series is softcore porn with a budget ... even the acting is sub-par enough to meet that standard.
I'm gonna guess that the screenwriter was keeping one hand busy while he typed with the other. And it could be that he's just getting started. Not dropping this by any means! ^_^
Speculation time: The housekeeper with the milky eye has supernatural abilities and is going to bring the two timelines together. As the housekeeper she bridges both eras, and having seen Jose suffer back in the 1970's she feels for Wade in his own heartbreak. She decides to bring the two boys together.
I kept forgetting that this is airing, which is a good thing because as of this moment the subbers on Viki STILL haven't managed to sub the last two clips. (I hesitate to refer to them as episodes.)
Full disclosure: I haven't yet watched those last two clips, but so far the drama has wasted a lot of time on preliminary setup and hasn't given the two lead characters any chance to get to know each other as people as opposed to musicians. Where tf is all this 'chemistry' that everyone sees between them? One of them is arrogant and short-tempered and the other is a mouse. That doesn't bode well for their future together.
I feel like production companies are cashing in on the BL phenomenon with minimal investment. Imagine if this series had been given the red carpet treatment along the lines of 'True Beauty'. Imagine a Korean BL with 16 one-hour episodes! Why are we so grateful for the crumbs they're throwing to us (and stale crumbs at that)?
All we hear now are announcements for more of these micro-length K-BLs, but if you think about it, the reason they're coming at us so fast is that they're cheap to produce. You barely need a script -- just hire a couple of cute idols. The lack of a real story for 'Wish You' is why the kiss at the end of Episode 6 seemed so random and out of character. It was put there because of how little time the series had left to finish with the two leads in a relationship.
'Where Your Eyes Linger' was the only one of these short series that tried hard and actually delivered something. In the wake of that there's been a steady decline in quality.
I predict that the next one coming up (I forget the title) will be even more shoddy than this one.
I see Thailand is moving in the direction of queerbaiting ?
It looks like it's affiliated with a charity, so maybe we should give them a pass this time.
That's not to say that BL's popularity isn't being exploited by production companies looking for a cash grab. It's gotten to where I roll my eyes when yet another 'web series' is announced, since lately they've been quite sh*tty -- cheaply produced with bad acting and next to no storyline. But BL fans just keep lapping them up like thirsty dogs.
Miscellaneous comments on Episode 6, since everyone has said everything so well already:
I think the way the episode depicted the dawning of Seojun's deeper feelings for Jugyeong was better than I've ever seen done before. They could use that scene as an example in acting classes. Hwang In Yeop is the real deal.
Really liked how Jugyeong's brother Jooyung started to show a protective side, but also liked how Suho gave it right back to him over the things Jooyung has said to his sister.
A romance between Jooyung and Gowoon seems pretty certain now.
Jugyeong's mom truly has no redeeming qualities. I despise her.
Why won't Suho apologize for the terrible things he said to Jugyeong in the changing room? When he was trying to interrupt her while she was crying at him over that, I thought for sure he was going to explain himself. But he didn't!
Please, please don't give Jugyeong's bullies a 'redemption' arc at the end of the series. I am so tired of characters like that never having to own up to their deeds.
I'd been wondering if Blued was a hookup app (sorry ... "social networking" app) like Grindr, and with today's episode I got my answer lol.
I'm sure many of us spit out our corn flakes when we got to the ending. I hope that's not a sign of things to come because otherwise (aside from the micro-length episodes) the series is a fine piece of work in all respects.

I know that the standard for humor can differ depending on where you are in the world, so maybe that's what's going on here.

I'm keeping hope alive.

As I watch I keep waiting for it to disappoint me but it refuses to do so. :) So far it's my favorite Mainland 'school' drama since 'Wait, My Youth'.
Also, the kid they got to play Nan Xi as a child is exactly what you'd expect him to look like at that age. It's uncanny.
