Gawd, the dubbing is so poorly done. When it comes to the words matching the movement of the lips it's like the voice actors simply read the script without looking at the screen.
She was way too hard on Tor and Earth. In Tor's case, it's like Boom has never gotten over what she went through…
He probably does, but saying stuff like that could also be to soften up Boom for when he finally makes his move. In other words, he could be grooming her.
She was way too hard on Tor and Earth. In Tor's case, it's like Boom has never gotten over what she went through…
I keep thinking how Tor's mom told Boom that the female employees never stay around for long, and how on the first day Tod told her to wear revealing clothes if that what she wanted to do.
I fear that he is a sexual harasser and will eventually make a move on Boom, and threaten that if she tells anyone he'll say that she came on to him first.
Who thinks Boom was kinda overboard with her expectations especially with Earth. I get Tor can be a jerk sometimes…
She was way too hard on Tor and Earth.
In Tor's case, it's like Boom has never gotten over what she went through in Season 1. Tor has changed a lot and is trying to be a good boyfriend. It's bad enough that his own family never shuts up about how disappointed they are in him. Boom should be there to support him, but she is spending so much time with his family that she's starting to take on their attitude about him.
I fear that Boom will soon find out that Tor's brother is not the nice guy he appears to be.
Hi FreshKicks! :-)I agree with everything you say. But I have seen the same things differently. I have never been…
I think Bright's acting was fine before Sarawat and Tine became a couple. The stolen kiss during the Pocky game was done really well.
Once the two became a couple it was like things got more awkward between them. From there, a gifted director might have been able to coax Bright into being more comfortable despite his misgivings about BL. We'll just never really know what went on behind the scenes.
I would love to know if the decision to minimize their skinship was something Bright asked for, or if it was in the script because they wanted to run the series in other markets, possibly even in China. I suspect it's more of the latter. Bright wasn't a big star (yet), so I don't think they would have tolerated him making demands.
Also, that high-five at the end -- if it was not originated by the director, it was at least approved by him, as was every other missed opportunity for Sarawat and Tine to behave like real (and horny) boyfriends. This is why I think there was some sort of general decision to position '2gether' differently.
I think in some ways it might have also won more fans for Bright and Win. It's been said that a lot of the hetero fans of BL get uncomfortable when confronted with what it truly means for two men to be in love, i.e. that there's physical intimacy involved. Witness how many reviews and comments praise '2gether' for minimizing the sexual relationship, as though sex between two men is dirty.
In Episode 3, YSY got on my nerves bigtime. I hope he gets out of his puppy-dog phase soon. The constant gawking is annoying, and in the moments when he's not gawking he's looking either surprised or overwhelmed. (It's also very dumb of him to get on the bad side of his coworkers.)
Episode 4 was better. It actually moved the plot forward .. yay. And shirtless KIS was a nice treat. But the series overall still seems kinda flat to me.
In one single episode, to do such broad comedy (and nail it) and then come through in that scene ... amazing.
I'm euphoric!
The only positive impression I got was that this is a Cdrama that wasn't dubbed. Hallelujah!

I hope I'm wrong!
I think his brother has a dark side and that he'll eventually make a pass at Boom, or worse yet, force himself on her.
