According to the bio on Portal Star Disney+'s Instagram account, the account is "not associated with Disney." And the description simply states that data has supposedly been updated. Which? No information. I'd rather have something directly from Disney+ as a source...

And no, IMDB doesn't only approve official footage. Some productions have images that don't even belong to the series. Nice try.

No idea where you saw that about Disney+, the latest is that production is on indefinite hold. After a quick search, I didn't find any valid results for your statement. There is no update on the Instagram accounts either. I can at least debunk IMDB directly, because every user can upload photos, just like here. This does not come from IMDB. It's also striking that only KSH is on the poster and that there are only 3 of the same poster of him and only him. Bo Ah would almost certainly also be on the poster. The pictures on IMDB could be therefore almost certainly fan art.

Thank you very much for your comment. Honestly, I feel some of the comments here are so disrespectful that I feel like pulling myself out of the discussion. I simply know too many women who have been discriminated against because of their weight (whether they are overweight, underweight or normal weight) and have slipped into eating disorders such as anorexia and bullemia. That's why I believe that bodies should not be commented on. But I am speaking out in order to clear things up a little. I hope the drama finds a healthy way.

Oh, my joy of watching is now limited. I liked the first two episodes of Something is not right. But the 4th episode left me with a mediocre, tough feeling and it doesn't seem to be getting any better with the new episodes... Too bad.

You said that very well!I repeat myself, but the series is far better than its rating here. I could imagine people…
I agree with everything you say. Unfortunately, I don't find the MDL votes reliable at all anymore and now tend to give everything a chance... and have made some great discoveries as a result. I also find the whole ship culture and fandoms distort the picture (I don't want to devalue it though) and I sometimes realise that I don't feel like giving certain BLs a chance at all. Which is also pretty daft. That's why I find series like TopForm very refreshing, because you realise that the right actors have been cast for the characters, rather than the characters being adapted to the actors. I wish that happened more often.

I also have the one or other KBL that I like to watch repeatedly when I need something to make me feel good. But I have to say, Seung Ha and Jong Hyeok have a charisma and naturalness in their acting together that I haven't seen in a K-drama before. No awkward kissing or physical contact, no dead fish kisses, you can tell they are comfortable with each other and that makes this drama unique to me. The story may be simple, but it's realistic and the characters are imperfect, carry their burdens and it's not forgotten from one moment to the next. That makes the drama tangible. Maybe that's why some people find it boring. But I find it very true to life. And I look forward to the new episode every week.

As far as the rating is concerned, I have the impression that many may have rated at the beginning and then one or the other dropped it. Who knows. I hope it gets a more realistic rating over time.

I knew I was right about Min Joon being insecure, I could see it in episode 3. I can see why Jin Hwan has issues…
I agree, both a happy and a sad ending fit here. The preview brought me some heartache, although I could totally understand (and almost find it more realistic) if they went their separate ways. But I still hope for happiness together!

I don't care, I love it. The rating is a joke.
I agree with you, a solid and realistically crafted series that has a good arc and the ending is not predictable yet.
I see other BLs and KDramas in comparison that have 8+ ratings and I sometimes wonder why. If the drama doesn't have a happy ending, the ratings will probably stay lower. I hope people who are considering watching the show will give it a chance.

It's not so much about what he says (he calls her overweight, by the way), but that the 1st episode/screenwriter…
Thanks, I know all about the weaknesses of BMI and healthy bodies.

I also never mentioned that the ML considers the FL to be ugly. I mentioned that the series appears to be going for that old cliché. That is a difference. The only thing I said about the ML is that he calls her overweight. Other than that, I didn't mention a word about his thinking/actions.

I think we're talking on two different levels here. Because I'm concerned with what the series creators are portraying here and not what the ML thinks. I've seen the epilogue, by the way. Again, you're just reading something into my statements. Likewise, I never said anything to the effect that I disapprove of her wanting to exercise for her health and for herself. On the contrary. But it's suggested in episode 1 that she's not exercising for herself, but to win back her ex/show him what he's missing and thus, in my eyes, to get validation from a man.
Furthermore, I didn't criticise ML for his sporting ambitions either. I merely said that bodybuilding is not healthy per se. For example, there are many in the field who take steroids to achieve certain physical results, which has health consequences.

And finally, I also said that we don't yet know how the story will develop.
So please don't just assume things that I never said.

A woman around 1.60cm with 60kg is not fat, but is considered to be of normal weight.
Anyone who frames both normal weight and overweight people as ‘people who don't take care of themselves’ is part of the problem. There is also such a thing as genetics. Incidentally, muscles weigh more than fat. Therefore, weight says nothing about a person's health status.

regarding body shaming, well, you are watching dramas where the majority of actors and actresses have had operations…
What? That makes no sense. You'd be a hypocrite if you condemned and insulted actors for having undergone operations, but here you call the way you deal with the subject of weight bodyshaming. Because that would also be bodyshaming. But if you accept that actors can do what they want with their bodies or don't comment on their bodies and decisions, you're not a hypocrite. This is because bodyshaming describes derogatory comments or discrimination based on a person's appearance.

yes 60 is fat for some people and why you are this crying like if trying to be fit and healthy is bad.. if you…
It is actually healthier for women to have a higher fat percentage, from 21% - 35% body fat, depending on age. A body fat percentage that is too low leads to health problems, e.g. menstrual disorders, immune deficiencies, metabolic disorders, infertility and cardiovascular diseases.
Nobody says that going to the gym is unhealthy, on the contrary, moderate weight training is good for the body. The only thing being said here is that you shouldn't fall for false body narratives, such as 62 kg at a height of 162 is overweight. Because that's not true.

After the first ep I really don't think this drama promotes body shaming...-He never shamed her as a person (or…
It's not so much about what he says (he calls her overweight, by the way), but that the 1st episode/screenwriter portrays/suggests that FL can't find anyone to desire and love her because of her weight.

FL therefore has low self-esteem because she has been repeatedly rejected. She could have been portrayed as self-confident. But we see a woman who thinks that once her body is beautiful, someone will sleep with her. That's why she accepts the offer. That's what stuck with me after the episode. And that's a painful image.

The portrayal of FL suggests the old depiction of the development from ‘ugly duckling’ (= nice, but fat and therefore unattractive) to ‘beautiful swan’ (= thin and well-trained). It is a risky game to work with clichés about bodies. One can only hope that the core message is not as superficial as is implied here. The message should not be: You only get self-esteem and men if you are trained and thin. Nor should it be: bodybuilders are healthy, because they don't necessarily have to be. Keyword: e.g. substance abuse. But it's only the first episode and we don't know what will happen. Who knows, maybe they'll win the game and hold up a mirror to the audience.
On Pump Up the Healthy Love Apr 30, 2025
Hmm, I don't know what to say about the drama yet. I don't mind the slapstick and over the top acting. In fact, I originally got into KDramas with exactly those expectations.

What bothers me massively here (and I really hope there's a plot twist) is that in the year 2025, a 162.7cm tall woman weighing 62.8kg is portrayed as overweight and fat and not desirable because of her weight. This is hurtful, superficial and misogynistic. What does that say about the screenwriters' image of women?
