I don't really know how to express myself appropriately...

The drama tries to work off all the clichés, seems amateurish and experimental, many actors look like they are acting for the first time or just being there. The film locations sometimes seem bizarre because they appear so empty. The sound and the dubbing is at times horrible and inconsistent.

And yet there is something about it that makes you watch the whole series and stick with it. The main characters and their developing relationship seems raw, natural and there is something very gentle and warm-hearted between them. A healthy and caring atmosphere characterises the relationship.
Along the way, the drama is voluntarily or involuntarily comedic. And it doesn't end with the 26-year-old deputy head of department disappears under his pink blanket of hearts. There are parts that are meant to radiate seriousness, but the situation triggers loud laughs from the audience. You don't know whether the series takes itself seriously or not.

But it is precisely this entire absurdity paired with its amateurish execution with this loving and raw main couple that has a very special charm and triggers an intangible tension that captivates me in its own way. Add to that the portrayal of the relationship, which I would not have expected in this way in a Chinese BL and what I appreciate. I still have no idea how to rate the series adequately for myself. But yes, I like it, somehow, just as I have a special place in my heart for quirky people and absurdity.

Oh, is a live action planned? That would be awesome! If anyone knows anything, please keep me posted :)

And I also have to say, the only person I see in this role is Cha Eun Woo. Both visually and in terms of charisma, from warm/innocent/lovable to hard/enveloped in darkness. He can radiate this duality in both ways.

I thought about whether I could come up with another alternative. I thought of Kang Tae Oh or Nam Da Reum. But it doesn't match for me the way Eun Woo does....

Just remembered that I haven't played one of your games in a long time 😅 yay! Thx 🫰

I'm only missing Something's not right (I don't like love triangle, but I can't make up my mind here, they're all so adorable) and Business as usual.

As of someone that has watched the anime and read the manga I actually love this one more than the anime, they…
Me too. This adaptation is the best thing that could have happened to this story...
Jin/Junta is still totally addicted to Akin/Takato, but isn't creepy anymore.

I feel like I'm allowed to love Jin and Akin's story without a guilty conscience or a stomachache. I'm so grateful for this film adaptation. And I hope it stays that way.

Far as i remember this is the first bl where the main lead was actually raped rather then just "seduced"
I wanted to save him the whole time. It was so hard to watch and then in History 5 (was it there or in another series?) this couple showed up again and happily prepared their marriage and the mentally and physically abusive brother was asked admiringly how he managed to catch him...I would have loved to see the first couple again, but like this.... I was just speechless and frankly disgusted...

It is definitely an assault. And it should be labelled as such. I just think it's important that series also deal with these issues for what they are. It's very hard to watch, but it's the harsh reality for many people. Increasing awareness perhaps helps to recognise warning signs earlier, to intervene sooner and to support people and, in my opinion, helps victims who have to deal with such acts to overcome feelings of guilt and shame, to talk about it and to get help.

That's what I mean by that. This topic should not be swept under the carpet and, above all, it should not be romanticised. In the last 10/15 years, fortunately, so much has changed on the subject of consent and I think that it has happened by making assaults visible and naming them. And I think men who suffer assaults in particular have to struggle with feelings of shame because they are still too often told: as a man you have to be strong, you mustn't cry and so on.

There are countless examples. The worst is History 4, the story of the brothers is disturbing and r*pe is romanticised and countless people give this series high ratings.

Many other examples have already been listed.

An opened condom pack simply means that a condom pack has been opened. It does not mean that they slept together.

I would be surprised if they deviated so much from the template in this respect...

Looking at the description of the voting list, the title ‘overhyped actor/actress’ is rather misleading and should actually be ‘actor/actress with the worst fandom’. 😅

I only judge an overhyped actor/actress by their performance and e.g. how often they get roles without being really good, not by their fan army and their actions.

NO! I thought that they weren't going to put in the rape, all they did was change who rape Akin... once Jin and…
Akin and Johnny's storyline is straight out of the anime. It was not artificially added.
The only character who has been toned down and reduced to the actual fact of being completely addicted to Akin is Jin.
That a r*pe took place is just an assumption on your part. Because the only thing we could see as fact is sexual harassment (kissing and undressing without consent).

Edit: Just yesterday I saw a post on Instagram by a beautiful man who talked about how he was druged and r*ped, how ashamed he is of it and how he feels after this act. There were also many men in the comments who experienced such acts decades ago and couldn't talk about it. It's a reality that these things happen and I think it's important to deal with these issues.

Many viewers have pointed out that the central conflict in the series could have been avoided if the characters…
I agree with your reasoning. The conflict and miscommunication is deeper and more complex, especially when you consider the age and experiences of the
protagonists at the time.

What strikes me is that the word ‘introvert’ is often used incorrectly. Even though Min Jun is introverted, I think his actions are more due to shyness and social insecurity.
Being an introvert doesn't automatically mean being shy or socially insecure, nor does it mean that you can't express your feelings.

You can also be shy as an extrovert. Jin Hwan could be an extrovert, but he is definitely shy in his own way.

I think the biggest factor in this conflict is their own insecurities and inexperience in dealing with them and with relationships, as well as their different perceptions of the situation. It seems to be the first serious relationship for both of them. I think with a certain amount of life experience, you say, gosh, the conflict would have been easy to resolve with communication. But if you put yourself in their shoes at the time, it couldn't have been resolved because they both lacked the skills.

In any case, it's incredibly painful for both of them. However, after the last episode, I would say it must have been devastating for Jin Hwan because he was totally happy and was torn from that perception without a word. But my statement is not meant to be a comparison or judgement on their pain.

8 years... it's so frustrating...
Imagine you've just become intimate with someone you like so much that you're feeling insecure, meet up briefly with your best friend, come back, and your loved one has simply disappeared and is ghosting you. And you're left baffled and without an explanation. For eight years... That must be incredibly frustrating for Jin Hwan. From happy to lost...

I like detective stories, and together with a very likeable cast, I really enjoyed the series...

We encounter the main character's murky past, which is gradually revealed, and whose friends also have their own problems to deal with. A sneaky journalist who doesn't seem to be well-disposed towards the main character, and a judge who harbors an unusual grudge against him.

As a coffee-chewing inheritance detective, he gives the dead a voice one last time. Supported by his friends, a clever forensic scientist, and a tough medical student, he solves interesting cases and manages to shed light on his painful past.

I liked the execution and the unusual setting. The main characters are a great group, supporting each other in both good and bad situations. The cases of the wills were interesting, even if the final episode could have been stronger. The ending left me a bit wistful, but it was largely predictable. I just found the conclusion a bit ad hoc. We don't find any unnecessary romance, although the hidden affection between two characters within the series was very cute.

In fact, I'd like a second season and more cases with this trio and the other lawyer, so we can continue to see David fight Goliath, stand up for justice, and see the deceased express their thoughts one last time. I was very entertained and personally think the current rating of 7.6 is way too low 😅

Dear fellow viewers, you don't need to take sides and either hate on Jin to empathise with what happened to Akin…
I'm also very surprised by the discussion. I honestly didn't expect it to turn into a discussion about whether Jin or Akin are to blame. Johnny is solely to blame, and he probably wanted Akin because he was nice to Johnny at the karaoke bar.

The entire discussion ignores Jin and Akin's character traits and insecurities. The situation is much more complex and nuanced than what's being discussed here. May the next episode come soon. 😅

But that’s the thing, Jin doesn’t know what happened. Because Akin isn’t talking about it, which is for…
I agree with your comment and would add: Jin gave Akin space to explain what happened during the phone call the next day. And Akin decided (for the time being) to lie to him. He could have also said he drank too much and didn't know what happened. But both Akin and Jin are full of insecurities. Akin, who believes he's being abandoned, and Jin, for whom Akin is everything in his life and who therefore puts him on a high pedestal. This certainly creates additional pressure for Akin. Ultimately, both were thrown back to their greatest fears and must first learn that they no longer have to face them alone.
