Title The Rebound Spoiler
Zen is an idiot. The entire situation with Atom is his fault for not telling him that Ryu is his boyfriend and…
Zen is shy and doesn't want to hurt Atom. Atom is dominant and pushes Zen to do things he doesn't want to do. Like the situation at the pool with the hugging while being photographed. Atom crosses every boundary and has no respect for Zen. Zen hardly stands a chance with his personality. Talking to Ryu on the phone in front of Atom was the smartest move for him. This episode broke down any sympathy I had for Atom and the heartbreak was well deserved.

I like how director Golf has created the same character, cafe for all and same setting for both this and Wandee…
Same setting in The Eclipse. I like it too.

Haha, right? I feel the same way. I even know 50+ people who have run away from relationships because they didn't know how to communicate. On the other hand, my grandfather spent his whole life trying to impress my grandma like a teenager and giggling to no end when he played a trick on her. Life is also so much easier when you free yourself from having to conform to some kind of respectable image at 30 πŸ˜‚

Chogun looks to me more like he has a mild form of autism. Facial expressions, gestures and the way he is rooted in basketball and that he was ostracised at school and initially also in the team indicate this to me. If he had ADHD, he would have a stronger urge to move and more problems concentrating. They are also accepted in the social environment.
Maybe Chogun is just supposed to be someone who is extremely shy. In any case, I'm pleased that his character has found a place in the series.

Oh yes, I could very well imagine him in a sports drama, fighting against his inner critics or a past failure to find his joy and success again.

In regards to the 'no chemistry' accusations - I don't want to point fingers or blame anyone in particular, BUT…
I see it the same way you do. If one partner doesn't feel comfortable and is avoidant, it's not only discouraging for the other, it's also unsettling. Maybe I'm imagining it, but I think this insecurity shines through. In my opinion, the 2nd has lost his ease in the connection. And the charm of this pairing, in my opinion, was this fresh lightness.

30 year old actors, playing characters acting like teenagers, another piece of crap released this year.
How many 30-year-olds do you know? When it comes to love, a lot of them become like teenagers again and sometimes act irrationally and embarrassingly because of injuries.

I understand you, most of them are too young for me too πŸ˜… That's why I'd like it to be in a university environment with slightly older sidecharacters.
With the plot, I feel like they couldn't decide which strand they wanted to pursue and that they perhaps wanted to cater for both younger and older viewers. If they had continued with the street basketball plot, the school context would have been even more incongruous for me. But I love sports dramas so much that I'm just all in πŸ˜… and Meen plays so well.

I know exactly what you mean 🀭
And I'm glad it's not just me. I think you have to make sure that the scenes fit together. Just like in dramas it happens again and again that they're driving along a road on a scooter in the afternoon and suddenly it's pitch black. But I try not to be too strict. Yes, I mean the coach. πŸ˜… But I felt the same way in Between us.
I also love that they're finally showing sports dramas and actually showing sports and games. Additionally I love basketball. And I also understand what you mean about Zen. But he's also a 16-year-old teen, so he's allowed to be like that. And Ryu and Atom are great. But I also like Shogun.

I don't even know do I want to watch this anymore. I have 3 episodes left. I could do it for We Are but can I…
However, the basketball players look their age. Unlike Ryu, who is in the 10th grade. I really like the series. But I don't like the setting where they're all 16/17 year olds. They should have put it in a university context.
I think they cut back a lot at the beginning to get the team together quickly to show their development. The question here is whether they couldn't have left out the storyline with Boss and put in other streetbasketball fights relating to teams/people in their school environment. Then they would have had more time to develop the team.
Personally, I'm always bothered by shows with blonde characters when in one scene all the hair is blonde and then in the next shot there's a big dark patch and then it's different again. That's not a professional craft for me.
But as I said, apart from the far too young age and the changing blonde, I really like the series.

There was a lot of upvoting after the first episode and it scored 8.5 at that point with several hundred ratings…
Yes, you're right. I also rate little in comparison to what I see. I used the rankings as a guide. Then I started reading the comments to get a better picture. I don't just want to watch series by couples I know and like, I want to discover new good series. I now watch shows from (new) series outside the ranking bubble, so I have an idea of what I might like and I'm quicker to drop something if I don't like it.

I think if Fourth and Gemini cared about their fan base they would not have phoned in their performances on this…
I'm right there with you. I liked G4 in Moonlight Chicken and MSP was quite nice too. However, they bring more of a best friends vibe to the series for me. I'm also actually a bit puzzled as to what it is about them that makes them have such a big fanbase. (Which is totally ok, I'm happy for them) Of course I know I'm definitely not the target audience, but still. In terms of acting, I see others much further ahead. Neo made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions in OF, I hated him one moment, the other I wanted to hug and comfort him. I saw First for the first time in MC and found his character so unlikeable that I needed OF and The Eclipse, which I watched afterwards, to work off the feelings that arose in MC. I almost couldn't stand Great's tears in WG. Mark also deserves a mention for the range he plays. Just to add a few to your pairings above.

I'm not a fan of fanservice and wouldn't mind if pairings were swapped to find the best cast for the stories. (I like PondPhuwin a lot, but PondSanta in a dance battle series? I'd be all in for that too) But I think it's nice for the actors to shoot with someone they know, get along with and above all feel comfortable with. I like it when the actors appreciate their work and I can see that for myself when they promote it, for example. And I can't even describe what it is, but I find G4 so distant. With Gemini, I get the impression that he would prefer to have nothing to do with the genre at all. Which would be perfectly okay. And I also find them both so distant from each other. I'm not talking about exaggerated fanservice (that's why I mentioned my attitude) but somehow a certain friendly warmth. At least from what I perceive. Even when I see some IG comments, I get the feeling that fans are sometimes bashing each other over which of the two is better. (Of course, they only have limited influence on that). All in all, I find the whole thing kind of bizarre and don't understand why they're being hyped so much when there are some pairings that are better in terms of acting but are less recognised. However, I believe that the target group is very young and therefore they have a different proximity and the young target group probably makes up the majority of viewers.

This series is a total crap with the amount of advert placements, the cringe acting from the main leads especially,…
There was a lot of upvoting after the first episode and it scored 8.5 at that point with several hundred ratings and rather average comments. I think this is a ship vote. The same thing happened when The Trainee was rated 6.9 and lower after one episode. That's why I'm now questioning the ratings.

But who said Oyei and Cher married in July 2024?
You said:"As for the marriage between Oyei and Cherry, it is totally false. Equal marriage IS NOT YET LAW in Thailand. "

But the series has no time stamp, so it could also be set in 2025. Your statement implies that it is set at the time of broadcast.
By the way: In Cherry Magic, the wedding took place on 19/06/2024.
So overall, the circumstances in the series are such that the law is passed and they can get married.
