Do I understand correctly that you think I am from Asia?
Of course love is love. But first love is more cautious, because you have no idea and have to find out for yourself first. And these two are more on the way to a real relationship. As far as I know, Asians get into relationships more quickly and get to know each other there first. Whereas western people get to know each other a little better first and then get into a relationship.
We don't even know what Taishin does on his own ;) It's just not shown because the focus is different. (More on the emotional connection) He's just very cautious towards Takara because he's definitely put him on a pedestal (and everyone thinks he's hot and Taishin probably wonders himself what Takara sees in him) and it's his first love. For me, the word senior also indicates that they are only in a dating phase and not in a real relationship. (But perhaps it can still be used out of politeness) The relationship only really began with Taishin's decision in the tent.
I think it's just important to be open to other perspectives and to learn that my world of experience is not the same as that of the other person.
I agree with you, by the way, that the scene selection after Takara's invitation was definitely not that good. Who cares if he put the rubbish in a bag. It doesn't add anything to the plot.
What makes you think Taishin is in his mid-20s? He has just started studying, which means he should be 18. He…
As someone who grew up in a rural area myself, I am very aware of this. I can have knowledge and still be naive. And I speak from experience there too. Taishin, for example, has a lot of knowledge about plants that others don't even realise. He knew what he needed in his little world.
For me, episode 1 hints that Taichin grew up overprotected and rather isolated in the mountains without much contact. His best friend was his bird, no school friends are hinted at and at university he is initially very shy about socialising with his fellow students.
Personally, I understand Taishin very well. I recognise myself in many ways as I was as a child and teenager. I didn't shed my naivety until I was over 20, sometimes after some not-so-great experiences. And I can still be happy about the smallest things today, for example.
I can understand that not everyone can understand this, especially if you have different personality traits, but it's not unrealistic. But yes, I can also understand that you want to shake Taishin from time to time 😂
I'm really struggling with this drama. I find Taishin's character beyond pitiful. I simply can't wrap my head…
What makes you think Taishin is in his mid-20s? He has just started studying, which means he should be 18. He also seems to come from a rather rural area and grew up in a very sheltered environment. How can he not be naive? What makes you think that everything has to be sexually orientated at that age? Not everyone is like that and you should perhaps also keep the cultural aspect in mind.
What attracts Takara? Taishin's warm-heartedness and his pure heart. He's pure and authentic, he's incredibly curious about life and interested in his surroundings. He radiates that. They share the same love of nature.
For me, this is a realistic plot, I find your point of view somewhat limited and hope to be able to give you a different perspective.
People are saying that Taishin is weird for following a stranger you met just once to their university, but you…
I don't find Taishin and Takara's behaviour weird. After this episode, it's pretty clear that they were attracted to each other from the beginning.
By mentioning the university, Takara created an opportunity for Taishin (and himself) to see him (each other) again without demanding it, pressuring Taishin or forcing his interest on him. This alone shows that Taishin was special to Takara from the beginning.
Taishin, on the other hand, simply followed his heart and curiosity without the certainty of actually seeing Takara again.
I only see a special encounter where both of them independently felt that it was very special and valuable in some way, and gave each other the opportunity to meet again.
it was frustrating how little screen time Ryan and Jane got in this episode, I was definitely hoping for more…
Honestly, I think next week the focus will be on Tae. He's trying to get his relationship back, realising the end of the Bahmee-Tae way, moving on and growing in being alone. On a side note, we get to see a little progress from JaneRyan.
Love this series. Taishin and Takara are cuties. After every episode it feels like you've got a warm shower and it's a great start into a new week.
But this episode was just sweet as sugar. I liked getting to know Takara's point of view, his thoughts, feelings and his resulting actions, the appreciation he has for Taishin. I also liked the honesty, tenderness, vulnerability and love they shared in the tent.
Please can at least one episode revolve around the main characters? The preview pissed me off like what do you…
I also miss screentime and development with the MC, OffGun are so present in the scenes they have, but their story somehow barely progresses. I wait every week for them to get their time and more depth. But since Pie, Bahmee and today Pah got their episodes, I could imagine the next episode will be Tae and his development and the last two will be mostly Jane and Ryan.
Isn't it funny that GMMTV has already started pairing their actors for GMMTV 2025 shows when they still haven't…
That's wild. But honestly, it would be amazing to get a new GreatInn series. Still, I wonder what the schedule is for these 19 series. I would guess we're definitely still getting Revamp this year. Honestly, I hope we don't get that many remakes. I'd love to see fresh stories.
What I also find funny, by the way, is that it would be completely ok for adult actors to pretend to be 16 and it's no problem to watch as a consumer these 16 year old characters perform possible sexual acts and declare it as "mature sexual drama"...

Ich denke, es ist gar keine schlechte Idee zu warten bis 4minutes vollständig ist 😅
Ich habe tatsächlich nur Stay with me gesehen.
So much nonsense typed and even in Capital letters. The reason people are"whining" as you called it,isn't because…
I would like to emphasise this again here, I for myself would not cast an actor under 18 in BL series. I would still be very careful about which roles I give to 18-year-olds and I think it's good to protect young people.
However, 16 is no longer being a child, unlike 13. The leaps in development are enormous.
I'll quote what I mentioned in another comment:
" But I think there is actually a big problem in the fan culture. Ships are sold and sometimes they also sell fantasies. I think that younger people in particular find it difficult to distinguish between reality and fantasy. And I don't mean that in a bad way. Shipping the two actors here is of course difficult because you just know that a real relationship would have a huge imbalance. But that robs the fans of their favourite fantasy or makes them question their morals when they think about it.
Personally, I think it would be better to establish a different kind of fan culture and not have fixed ships. For the good of the fans and the actors. Even though I also have favourite pairings myself and think that a familiar counterpart for certain scenes is helpful for the actors. But I also think that fixed ships can prevent ideal casting."
The fact is that nothing reprehensible has happened in the series so far and nobody knows how the story will be realised. Who says that NC 18+ scenes will be delivered? Who has such thoughts?
Are the makers selling the two as a "loving" ship in reality? Or shouldn't we rather criticise those who fetishise BL actors to such an extent that they can't tell reality from fiction? Wouldn't it make more sense to educate the fandom and promote a different fan culture? Is it the makers who have disgusting thoughts or the consumers? You can rant about the fans who make a "real" couple out of the two actors and have fantasies about them, or even about the director who made the casting decision. But you can't accuse a 16-year-old or even a 27-year-old actor of things like paedophilia or perversion if he or they are just doing their job. And I think people should rather ask themselves why they come up with such thoughts?
And why are people going on the barricades for this show of all shows? Because they're comparing it to the 1st version? (I've only seen Stay with me) Did they also criticise MSP in Ep.2 or Love by chance (and there's so much that's creepy)? Toxic plots are not criticised but rather loved. But the age difference of a couple of colleagues. Isn't that a double standard?
So much nonsense typed and even in Capital letters. The reason people are"whining" as you called it,isn't because…
I think I know which post you mean.... phew... hard to put my thoughts into words.
Trivialisation of child abuse and double standards I would say. As you listed in another comment, there are some shows with underaged actors (including Fourth just turned 18 when MSP aired). But what bothers me even more is taking the moral high ground here and then liking toxic plots with a high probability.
There's a lot you can criticise about BL. I'm just thinking of History 4, the stalker brother forcing his brother into a relationship. TharnType. Love by Chance where someone coerces an unwilling drunk person into sex and Tum and Tar, were they brothers and had an incest plot or stepbrothers and morally questionable?, KinnPorsche and on and on... where's the criticism in that? I could imagine that these are people who also like Boys over Flower, for example, which is hard to beat in terms of toxicity. Of course you can criticise the casting decision and express your opinion. But to hate a series in which nothing has happened so far in the name of morality and equate it with child abuse, knowing that much of BL is worthy of criticism, I find absurd. Also, the argument is sometimes made that it's due to being under 18 and not the age gap. Then again because of the age gap and under 18s could deliver the hardest plot if only they were both under 18 (as we've heard, they could even be 15 😑). It's kind of totally inconsistent. I don't really know what to make of it either.

Storys à la I hear the sunspot.

I'll scroll through to your comment. You can certainly say that in a real relationship, the ages of 16 and 27 are very critical due to different levels of development and experience. But they forget that this is just a fictional story and the characters are similar ages. The actors themselves are simply working. There's nothing erotic about the work either. In other words, the commentators form things in their heads that aren't there and then find them disgusting. I can't really put it into words. I mean in the show, there just isn't anything happening between the MC and nobody knows what's being portrayed.

It would be nice if this café also existed in real life and was a meeting place for the LGBTQIA+ community and Allys. Oh, that would be a nice idea.

Unpopular opinion: if the cause lies in the fetishisation of the actors, the consumer who thinks this way must change.
By the way, I haven't seen Love Syndrome.
And I don't think it will even make it onto my list after your comment...
