The relationship of Tonkla and Korn in 4 minutes is also quite toxic. Drug use, explicit sex scenes (very (!) explicit). I'm not criticising the story (on the contrary, everything fits the plot and the series is really good). But I don't know when the series was shot, so Fuaiz could have been underaged. My personal opinion is: I wouldn't cast actors under 18 for BL. But 16 is legal and therefore ok. I don't want to see 15 year olds though. (I find that creepy) The developmental gap between 15 and 16 is just too big. And I find it fundamentally wrong and reprehensible to simply throw terms like paedophilia into the room. Because it weakens the actual offence. Paedophiles like children before they reach puberty. People who describe something like this age gap as paedophile not only have no idea, they ultimately don't give a shit about the abuse of children. Sorry for the language, but that makes me angry. (So not you ๐ )

Sorry to have to say this. But both actors are colleagues, they work, they don't have a real intimate relationship, which would be reprehensible. In every job you have younger and older colleagues and you have to work with them. I feel, and I want to say this respectfully, that people confuse fantasy with reality when they confuse roles (which are pretty much the same age) with actors (who have an age difference). I don't know if I can express that well. But I think there are viewers who reach their moral limits when they like to ship the actors as real couples and it's not feasible here.
This low rating on the website is due to the actor's age, there is no other explanation. It's impossible for this…
I can no longer trust MDL ratings. In my opinion, it's not the story, narrative style, acting, direction and so on that are rated, but the people behind the production. If the actors are a popular ship with a big fanbase, the rating is high regardless of quality, if the actor is too young, the age gap is too big or an actor enjoys his free time (I'm talking about Guns "scandal" and the rating of The Trainee after the first episode), the rating is downgraded. Regardless of whether the film production is good. You can criticise the age gap, but it doesn't play a role in the series. In my eyes, some actors are also too young (under 18), but for me that applies to all productions (f.e. MSP), not just Addicted Heroin. If a person can't tell the difference between reality and character, I don't think that person should watch the series.
This series is so good, the writing, the characters, the complex relationships it is so good I can understand…
Maybe you can help me, in what way are the relationships complex? I don't see that. The only deeper relationship I see so far is Bahmee and Tae's and there the disbalance was already quite stereotypically visible in the beginning. Then there's Pah and Tae's solid friendship. I also see development in Bahmee and Tae. But the inner emotional world of Judy, Jane and even Ryan remains unexplored for me so far. With Ryan, I can understand his feelings about looking for an internship/undecided about his future and I see admiration for Jane. But somehow I don't see any complexity. I don't like comparisons and I'm doing it anyway. With We Are, I've gradually got to know all the characters in more depth, their connections and the development of their relationships. Here, on the other hand, I'm stuck on the surface. And I think that's a shame because the actors are really good.
Jane's behavior on the set is a textbook illustration for why a boss shouldn't have any romantic involvement with…
I fully agree with that. That's why I wonder how they want to and will portray a (budding) relationship. Both Judy and Jane are currently more of a confirmation of why there are relationship prohibitions in hierarchical structures.
For me a solid series, good technical execution, great chemistry between the MCs. The story is ok for me. Honestly, it doesn't touch my heart that much. I find the character description a bit superficial and I don't really know much about either Ryan or Jane. It kind of lacks depth for me, which is a shame. The only ones whose feelings I can empathise with are Bahmee and Tae. I like that it's an adult storyline, but it remains bland for me. I watch it on the side and it's ok, but right now it's only a 7/10 for me. In the last few episodes Ryan and Jane have been more of a side couple for me and I'm hoping they come back into focus next week. I'm also curious to see how they will realise the development of the relationship. Will the internship end before they get into a relationship? Then for me they would only get together at the very end. Or will they start a relationship during the internship? Then I would take a critical view because of the hierarchy...
I stumbled across this drama by chance because I quite liked the main actor in another series. I actually just wanted to try out the first episode (I was bored) because I'm not usually on the same wavelength as Chinese dramas and either drop them or finish them in agony. The female lead usually gets on my nerves after a few episodes because she's overly silly or submissive, while the man is toxic and dominant and I can't take it anymore.
But, what can I say, I've binge watched all 23 episodes. The drama is surprisingly good so far. Strong female characters, a healthy developing relationship (even if the starting point is strange for me personally), a really good sidecouple (love Rao & Zhao), nice and good parents, lots of love, lots of emotions and a great leading couple. Plus an adult plot. I love it and am thrilled.
All in all, I really like this series. A good story and great actors...
But honestly... the last episode disappointed me with the lack of logic...
Vee not having to endure the pain of the Five Coloured Stone every night and not needing the ceremony, the unsolved case of Miss Wad - San binding himself to Wad with the stone, only for it not to matter who it is now and for San to live in the present. Nice message, but what's the point of the whole setting, right time, right place, pain subsides, etc.... San is suddenly much better at home than at the house of Third. Now you might think it's because Vee is there. But he was also in pain next to Vee after he rescued him. Then the grandson was missing when friends and family said goodbye to San. The family bond was only explained by Tao. And shouldn't the ceremony of the stone be a "return" ceremony for the goddess to get the borrowed stone back? Now one part is in San, one part in Vee, but how and when do they give it back? Do they live forever?
As much as I like the show, the last episode ruined my impression of "it's a perfect story". The acting was wonderful, the cinematography was wonderful, the story itself was wonderful... so why such a patchy ending? I found our discussions and theories here so exciting...
oh same same, I was writing constructive criticism about Love Sea in the comment section but got caught aback…
I find the characters in CoL all very endearing and Daou's acting is great and the chemistry of the MC is just wonderful again. I can only recommend it. 4 minutes has a darker, mysterious atmosphere. Bible and Jes have great chemistry. I haven't really formed an opinion on the series yet because it's only just started, but it's exciting so far.

Yessss, I'm in love with Takara no vidro and I hear to the sunspot, but I also like Century of love. That's a newer storyline for me.
I have to say I really liked The Sign in terms of originality. Well, it also combined everything I like. I really liked learning a bit more about Thai myths.
I think 4 minutes looks quite good story-wise as well. I just hope it doesn't become too similar to KP in terms of theme at some point.
When I had written a negative comments and review for We are, I got accused of being hater who can't enjoy simple…
I liked We are. I dropped Love Sea at episode 4. I was constantly distracted. I like ForthPeat and I was waiting for the series, but it didn't captivate me. I like G4 and the Japanese interpretation, but MLMU Th... I can't. Maybe it's just me because I like the Japanese version so much. But there are also some other very good series at the moment.
Agree. I wonder where all of their great chemistry from previous series were gone. Even in the bad series like…
Yes, I know that CM has the same target group. I'm one of them ๐
Personally, I really liked CM and I think that acting experience and a bit more life experience can help you deal with a lot of pressure.
Of course, script and director are important. But with MSP, the director has already created a good work and with a certain amount of acting experience, the actors can still get a lot out of a mediocre script.
And I think that's the disadvantage for G4. I really like watching them and they always radiated a natural, fresh lightness for me. But now they're slowly losing their "newcomer" status, they're incredibly popular and they know what's expected of them. That must be a lot of pressure and with a mediocre script, their natural talent might not make up for their lack of experience. On top of that, they are simply still very young.
I think EM have an advantage and have already been able to try out a lot. That's why I trust them.
Well, and about the sponsors... Let's hope for the best ๐ซฃ
