I liked him too in underrated Our Generation, with Zhao Jinmai, where he played a difficult role as a conflicted individual tempted by abandoning everything including his promises, because of family conflicts. It is a coming of age drama that did not gain much traction since there were blockbusters that drew all the attention. ZLH is even more difficult to identify there because he let his skin be tanned and did not wear trendy clothes or make up, but construction workers sweaty garb and helmet ! Still, he did not fade totally, even though the drama was heavily tilted towards the POV of the FL.

He certainly can act in different ways.

Yeah, Winner Is King, Immortality : these two "long awaited famous projects" seem to have been shelved for good. I doubt they will air anytime in this decade, despite recurring announcements of "glimmers of hope". There is also The Golden Hairpin, the drama that Yang Zi tried to save by taking time to re-shoot scenes. This looks also dead.

Feng Bu Qi now got the title in English as "Nirvana In Flames", starring Miles Wei Zheming and Wu Jinyan. The booting of the drama on April 14 in Hengdian studios was announced on episode 1121 of April 17, 2026 of drama reporter vlog of Marcus : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TatLYBcpYI8 (timestamp 3;10). "Slated for 36 episodes and will stream on Mango TV". ❤️🙂

Feng Bu Qi now got the title "Nirvana in Flames" in English

According to the Baidu drama page : the project started in January 2025, filmed in Qingdao from June 16, 2025 for 90 days until September 19.
"On August 10, 2025, the crew conducted a live broadcast of a behind-the-scenes visit to the set, with starring actors Wei Zheming, Liu Xening, Fei Qiming, and Zhao Qing participating "
"It is scheduled to be launched in 2026 Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV Premiere ".
Release expected in the autumn, from September perhaps.

Will keep this new Miles Wei Zheming 🥰 drama in mind , now that the "relaxing romance" You Are My Fateful Love 💞 has finished release. The latter was set in Hangzhou (although Hengdian is a mere 2hrs away, this was a Huace Film & TV production, filmed by the company which has studios within the city, near their HQ in Hangzhou’s Xihu District. "Huace, is one of China’s largest private film and TV enterprises, producing over 1,000 episodes of high-quality dramas annually"). A few episodes were filmed in nearby "cultural" Shen'ao village of Zhejiang province.

I was amused because it was the same ao character as in àomén 澳门 (name of Macao)!

Yes, me too, even with the slow development : I was not really that much impatient that I wanted to scold our lawyer and his novel writer for dilly dallying, understanding their reasons. End episode is so nice . For those who are not there yet : don't miss the "after photo album of episode " parts!

Not for people who like intense stories, complicated plots, multiple plot twists, toxic relationships.
Definitely not for those who critically appraise C dramas like a research paper 😂😂"

So examine what you like about Wei Zheming that could draw you to this drama which I considered as a "relaxing" one as opposed to the intense and sometimes painful ones that hailed down hard on screens these past weeks. An interesting note : in the last episode, Zhang Yuan who is mentioned cryptically as "guest" in the cast, takes more importance than just a walk through one. Look into the OST thread if you are curious...

Hi, Cho Na! You always impress me with your passion for c-dramas! Have you thought of adding a list of specific short dramas to check out ?

I looked at first episodes on WeTV here, probably because of all the hate sent to the actress that feels like a regular witch-hunt - that sort makes me react strongly against haters and rekindle curiosity about the actress' work (as a counter to cancel culture), even if I can't claim to be a fan of hers. Despite I did have a drama featuring her in my C.Pieces list, mostly because of some background cultural details I thought were interesting, and because I seem to recall I had stumbled on a post from Liang Jie on her Weibo page at the time that she was going to watch it, which I found interesting as recom; that drama was entertaining enough for me although not "groundbreaking". - I had watched part of Ever Night before but did not finish, and little Ireine was not really on my radar. I have not followed much on either leads since that 2023 drama: I know, I am fickle and lazy, besides easily tired out these days.

I finally focus more on OST and other songs, now, including Rosy's new English song. -- Wondering what the titles, singers etc of the "little short drama" are: Baidu is not helpful this time and I have trouble accessing the drama Weibo https://weibo.com/u/7965657937 (perhaps the details of TMIMY OST are there?)

Btw, The little drama is on WeTV, as I just checked. It's a short episodes one (12-15 minutes or so).
First 8 episodes available with English, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish subtitle options, but for VIP members.

It is also on Huashi channel of YouTube but also for "members only". I have not checked so don't know if there are subtitle options there too.

I urge those who find hate comments like the one from "Lehelene" to report them to MDL as "offensive" so those members be identified as breaking rules of membership. "Hate speech" goes against the rules of MDL.

I think you meant VoS (Veil of Shadow) the other one (apart from Love Beyond The Grave) of the two dramas that vie for attention.
N°3 for Rebirth is not bad since these have very strong assets (super famous cast) and were long awaited original dramas, while Rebirth comes out as a "sequel", a position that seldom commands first place. To release Rebirth simultaneously with those two may look like tackling stiff competition perhaps unnecessarily. Is that what you think ?
