So they are still not releasing all the episodes? Why not? Like why not?
They really should, because now, it's everywhere incl with English subs. Those who wish to support through paying express to original platforms would, even if it be in addition to VIP subscription (after all it is not sooo expensive to do, despite natural stinginess when subscribers already feel they splurged enough) . I think many overseas audience who still have time on this Sunday, would like to watch till end now.
Besides which commercially sound decision to damage control, it would also free up a slot to advance other expected dramas that are still announced as "upcoming". We are so used to see some "airdropping" without advance notice that it would not even faze those audiences...
I still do recommend watching on original platforms iQiyi and WeTV for best quality. I don't have Netflix, but those who do would anyway savor the drama at a slower pace. Anyway, people watch what they like, when they have time : watching dramas is very time consuming, and we must remember to live our lives too. Nice weather today my end, despite too much pollen, so mediocre air quality and some humidity. I went for a short stroll before enjoying ep 31 and 32 and next finding out about the extent of the leaks till ep.40.
I must re-watch this, because I did not pay attention to that mention if it's in the episode. Anita Mui Yim-fong…
Thanks for that added MV link โค๏ธ. I added it up in the OST and Music page that I created to save some time for Peachey Blossom who worked a lot on the OST songs proper. The page is pinned in Discussions section (just above this Comments section) for the drama.) Many of the background songs added, or snippets hummed or sung by the protagonists, were so popular that they have had covers by other favorite singers, and if the links can be found, it is nice to put them in for remembrance value! Actually, if you have other favorite versions of the popular songs that you have links for, you can also add them in that thread. Or if you happen to notice a tune that Baidu forgot to list. Slowly adding the remaining 4 songs that Baidu listed, when I notice their appearance in episodes of the drama ๏ธ๐ Have a pleasant end of weekend!

Yes, from the release date info of the Paula Tsui song, ,that was 1981. Now, that does not affect the illustrative value of the song in the drama, which takes as starting point 1983.
I am still very confused about that question about LIhuain..about what surname? I understand it means to take…
in some way it does mask sense ... but I think the whole masked play is very complicated, to our delight as we slowly unravel the conflicts in alliances and hidden enmities.
In ep 30, the funerary eulogy scrolls from both factions ended on the pyre, so it looks like Li Huaian has not decided which path to tread. Also, he, now, contrary to the past, has a real grudge against the martial heroine, whose "soft-heart" and "independent" reasons still don't follow the simple principles that her sworn father laid down. She can fight yes, but her thoughts are muddled, short sighted, and now she is troubled by serious doubts. The fight scenes were fine, although less flamboyant than the first big battle ; it was sweet that they each picked a target on the battlefield. But finally they had to switch, and how could the Marquis leave his prisoner escape, with all his might and knowing the bird he pinned down's status!
-- Onward to next couple episodes!
(PS I intend to abide by original platforms release decisions since I am subscribed bot the iQIYI and WeTV for the next couple years, have been since 2020. So even if I sometimes peek at a certain other platform when the main ones callously georestrict , I won't go on the hunt for the leaked episodes put on sites that cannot be same quality as original.)
Congrats guys, we've made it to the weekend... you can breathe for 2 days.
You had me stop short : did you mean no more episodes until Monday ????! Ah.... no, we are not going to be POJ deprived over the weekend. Whew! Less in a stranglehold with the one-episode a day, and can move about between the new ones airing. ๐
The singer looks like Zhang Ruonan not TXW to me https://kisskh.at/people/21425-zhang-ruo-nan
You are right, "Zhang Ruonan and Zhang Linghe performed a duet together at the Hunan TV New Year's Eve Gala on December 31, 2025. They sang Jay Chouโs ballad "Tears of Scattered Emotion", a performance that went viral due to their strong on-stage chemistry, including sustained hand-holding and emotional expressions" + "There is no evidence or credible information from the provided search context indicating that Tian Xiwei and Zhang Linghe sang together in a public or official capacity."

I thought it was because shes used to using both hands instead one with a sword but then they edited it out for…
I can relate. I used to abstain from watching a movie or a series adapted from the novels I liked, because the few I saw felt too different from initial feeling. (Dune, etc) Besides which it is extra time consuming and I am more audience than deep fan of any given story or person, today. Just liking more or less some stuff, but not to the point of reading a 2000+ chapter book (although I did start on MoLi : so, never say never. I'll probably not finish it in time before the drama airs, though. I'll also "lazily" rely on what more dedicated readers and watchers report, then (like trusty @C-DramaQA and some guys here or elsewhere. Unless I suddenly decide for some reason to gafiate from c-dramas temporarily or permanently). I know my flaws: fickle and lazy ! Enthusing sometimes like here, taking time to share some stuff once in a while, but also apt to just leave the battle without a word ๐
Just came across this recording of ZLH and ZRN (corrected) singing a jazzy song for the new year : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO3RaUVq4aM Not directly related to our drama, but just for a pause and rhythm with the pair (skip the chatter after the song at 6:54).
Baidu had it with a more recent cover singer, Wu Keyue, in the other songs for the drama, but I did not find that cover directly. The original Paula Tsui song is very well known and popular indeed.
Agree, but it will find its audience, I'm sure, despite the stiff competition of the Reform era themed dramas…
Transmigration to Reform era and/or inspirational dramas about Shenzhen or other booming cities looks indeed very popular! Thanks for recoms. ๏ธ๐โค๏ธ
If you like slice of life, smart leads, and wholesome vibes.
The genre here is transmigration, time skip or time travel, perhaps timeloop if the main female character does transmigrate back.
Slice of life is realistic depiction of here and now people and places. Examples Meet Yourself (soul searching and healing in Yunnan) or 2022 Ordinary Greatness about a suburbian Beijing police station's daily life and work, + to an extent To The Wonder about a girl spending a year among Kazakh herders in the Xinjiang.
I didnโt understand anythingโthings moved way too fast in just two episodes. What year are we even in? It…
She suddenly woke up in 1983 as a bullied 18 years old, when she remembers having slept in as a 30 some from 2026, and she also has strange memories of another childhood when she became orphaned through a car accident. In the drama, the other Xia Xiaolan has a partly dysfunctional family, with her and her mother taking refuge at the farm of her mother's brother, who urges Xia Xiaolan's mother to divorce her no-good husband. So depending on the episode you've reached, the main time of action is a close to actual different time strand of 1983, or the years of Reform accelerating after she finished her college years, around 1988-1990 when she, as "transmigrated" into another Xia Xiaolan, focuses on building her professional future and relationship with a friend who becomes a lawyer. The university years were skipped: we just saw her entering, taking part in a debate, and next graduating - the focus was not on college and dorm stories.

Perhaps I'll read that Zhu Yun tome, since some readers have managed to whet my appetite. If. I have time for it. These days, after some episodes, I like to relax listening to the music with eyes closed, humming to exercise my voice, although I can't well do the 2026 War horse dance routine,in lieu of qigong, sigh.

I plan to add more, but you can suggest the songs you notice too in answer up there, so that I'll hunt up links to recordings for all to enjoy !
