I feel the drama as if they experimented with lines and images in the first two thirds of the drama, and then…
😅 Someone asked him what would he do if he felt something doesn’t make sense in a script. He said if it has something to do with him, he will discuss with the director to see if they could make some adjustments. If there’s no better way, he still has to obey what’s written in the script. He couldn’t refuse to film just because of that.
So I guess we could read between the lines of the asker and ZSW’s reply 😏
Zhou Zhifei is so surreal.....I'm laughing by now, he can't be real
I’m Zhang Songwen’s fan so in my eyes he did a brilliant job for a role that was written poorly. He took this role before gaining popularity from The Knockout and I believe it’s the last role he took before that. So hopefully, from then on he has better scripts and roles he could pick.

He IS based on a real person but I watched some clips. I think they’re going to kill him as expected in Cdramas. That real person lived until a ripe old age and was pardoned by the CPC after being freed from imprisonment.
Routong's final letter to gen. Lou is very touching and beautiful....and it helped him to make a right decision…
I like that General Luo although he appeared briefly. When he heard the news that XRT died and the man who saved him was RT’s bro, he was so heartbroken. I felt his grief & guilt.
I understand. It's not the tragic outcome that upsets me - I expected it, and I'm fine with tragedies. What upsets…
I think we sometimes forget that it should be very normal in times of war and upheaval to have people like ZZF who only cares about self-preservation. They’re obviously not heroes but imo it’s hard to imagine how scary it was to live in times like that. At that time no one knew who was gonna win the war. We in our comfortable couch think that if we were in their situation, we’d do the right thing, the selfless heroic thing, but that’s perhaps because we’re safe and never gone through war. Just some reflections on human nature.
I was on XHS and came across this - There’s a historical anti-Japanese hero, a Suzhou native by the name of Gu Wei. And if you scroll down this website and look at the 2nd pic, he kinda look like Zeng Shunxi 🤣 : https://baike.baidu.com/item/顾伟/20622112
