I’ve written an updated version of my argument that there was a plot change. I'll start with the plot, but then…
HJP is too strong of a character. It doesn't make sense he is a second lead. I recalled all PHR's dramas, and the only one that felt close to Startup is Dream high, and guess what, Suzy ended up with the second lead. In WYWS Suzy was head over heels for the ML and Pinocchio same situation. In those PHR dramas, the second lead didn't shine at all. Even in Pinocchio the FL/SL have a background story but it wasn't even given enough attention. PHR did nonsense in Startup
This article has helped me make up my mind about the letters. I've been saying that the NDS from the letters was…
Did HJP never had a girlfriend? When he was surprised by NDS never having one, I though he had in the past.
The final conversation of SDM and HJP was a huge mess: the dialogue didn't make sense and the acting (from Suzy's part) was confusing. It's one of the worse scenes from the drama.
I am watching ep 7 and I don't know why I should have a SLS. Because the SL is kinda rude.WHY DO U TAKE IT OUT…
This is what I wanted to hear. I like the SL better but I respect your opinion so much. I'm glad you expressed your thoughts/feelings, hope you keep doing it :)
Most of the people who liked the show do so, by vilifying HJP. They call him a jerk, who is too harsh, and just…
True. Mr Queen got greater ranking than Startup in the first 2 episodes (the trailer was promising ngl) but from there you can see it increased even more probably for the mouth-to-mouth and social media. This could have been Startup. Maybe starting with a 5% but with a greater storyline they could have rocketed in viewership. The only time I felt so captivated by a first episode was in Goblin. So it's the writer's fault.
I put this one off because of the bad reviews and the comment section was giving me bad vibes. But since I had…
It is called own experience. I'm a little bit tired of all the " I don't understand why you have to position yourself " and similar comments. I understand you like it and you had a great experience, good for you. It's your opinion and I respect that. Now you respect mine.
Have you ever seen those American movies where the movie starts with either a husband or wife, or BF and GF who…
But isn't the new bae supposed to be a better option? With his violent tendencies, stalking and possessiveness, he is more similar to those average american films, where some cray cray person is obsessed with the main character.
The only character I can relate NDS is to Edward from Twilight. He had similar personality traits and yeah, young people loved him.
Just a little analogy about Start Up...I think I would describe HJP and NDS like this. HJP is your financial advisor…
Nice analogy. For this reason I prefer HJP. When you mature you know NDS is the kind to break your heart. As easy as he falls in love with you and "give everything up" for you, as easy he is going to fall in love with the next girl. Because he doesn't have the character to sustain a relationship long term nor he has the skills. The books as Twilight, etc etc are pure fantasy, passion is not a good fuel for a relationship as it depends so much on the temporary feeling instead of character and values. Irl he might love you "forever" for a few years, but when passion wears out, he's going to seek passion somewhere else.
HJP might not look as passionate, but you know if this kind of guy chooses you, he will be faithful to his choice and invest a lot in the relationship for it to work. He won't toss you away. He's the kind of "it's not going to be easy but let's grow old together".
But as a review pointed in a comment below, teenagers still prefer the passionate "give everything up for you" twilight love so there's no point in convincing people otherwise. I'm happy with my choice and I know it's a wise one.
All these dramas about time traveling and here I am wondering what would I've been good at in those times if I was to time travel. ¿Cooking? Not much. ¿Saving people with advanced medicine? Not at all. If they don't give me a computer (which they didn't have back then)I'm a lil bit useless. I wonder if my amazing personality would have helped lol
I have a response to this, but it's a really long one. So i'm going to wait when I have time to write it. I want…
As a marketer I was surprised HJP wasn't the main lead. You can't give such a powerful nickname to a second lead. It creates a brand too powerful (which did happen). The writer shot herself in the foot with this one. Making him a good boy was her mistake
