The Queen dowager ate the meal her mother made not because she liked/wanted to, but she saw it as a duty to respect her mother.

The King is not married so he doesn’t have a Queen. The two women that sit side by side are his father’s concubines. The one that sat to the left of the king is his stepmother(most likely married after his mother got deposed). The older woman that requested the competition is his grandmother(fathers side)
Yeonhui-gun only has one “official” concubine allowed to sit next to him

I think someone else. The jester got the information first or he’s tailing them/throwing them off so they don’t get the information faster

It’s giving double standards

I appreciate the micro expressions in this drama, especially that of Yoon-A, arching an eyebrow, rolling of the eyes, etc.

Also, when they taste the food, you can see them savour it.
They don’t just put the food in their mouth and start going “yum”, they allow the taste marinate on their tongues before they let out a sigh of deliciousness.

Small details but they make me happy
