Chinese producers don't release dramas during important events throughout the year. I respect that. Why can't I have a similar thought too? Why am I unreasonable instead of a free-thinking person?

I don't think @Praise is speaking about expecting Christianity in c-dramas. It's more about enjoying a show about demons that goes against avoiding evil in the real world. I look at these dramas as a fight of good versus evil. But I'll probably pay for it down the line.

I'm a Christian too. Since this week of all weeks is very important. It might be a good idea to not watch it this week. When watching Chinese costume dramas, I revert to the broadest sense of good vs evil (like watching Harry Potter and Star Wars).

I consider demons in xiaxia as downtrodden supernatural creatures living alongside immortals. Immortals dressed in ethereal white and living in the clouds sometimes do more harm than any other being. Appearances can be deceiving. They're all about power and greed. I think the ML explained it. He mentioned he deals with the small malicious demon creatures not the devil residing in the universe. I don't think this drama is about the devil but more about demons that harm humans. Now the Korean drama my demon and woori the virgin offended me. South Korea has Christianity so it was very disrespectful for a society that prides on respect. I dumped those dramas.

I don't think it was anything to do with his job or before he knew her. The fact that he did it to another human being reflects his basic character. He had the free will to decide it was amoral and say no to the chairman and her daughter the mistress. It only mattered in the present because it directly affected him. The person affected could have gone in two directions: pick herself up or do harm to herself. That was how serious this was. It was strange how the writers chose this direction and transitioned it to the final episode of "why are you breaking up with me, give me time to come to terms with it". Clearly twelve episodes can't even merit a storyboard.

Why would you find the ML interesting? He's a "mean" guy that lives his life destroying lives by spreading false rumors. Bullying that carries from school to work from generation to generation. Even if the FL forgives him and spends her life "saving" him, karma will hit eventually.

He is the worse. Spreading false rumors and destroying her integrity is worse than bullying. He doesn't deserve a happy life. She may forgive him and try to "save" him, but karma will bite him big time one day.
