She is resting in peace. She was a kind prayerful woman. Did you ever hear the story about the red cardinal? Your loved one comes back to say they’re okay. In the weeks after her passing, a red cardinal kept singing outside my window. I didn’t dream either, but then again we both had no regrets.

I liked him too. He truly was trying to make peace with his life until the wicked lady started to bring doubt and temptation . I didn’t like his ending, but he was happy at the thought his son called for him.

I’m non-Asian and live in the US, but my family dynamic is similar. Ask for advice, listen and make your decision . It’s a choice to include or walk away from family. In the US, it’s sad how some place their aging parents in nursing homes while they live in another part of the country. My brother installed an engine lift to hoist my mom in and out of her bed. She had dementia and we took care of her the last 4 years of her life. The eldest kicked and screamed, but I told her imagine mom is your newborn child. Care everyday with no break. It was during covid so everything worked out. She passed peacefully loved and well cared for. Eventually they’re not around anymore, but I wish they were.

The scene that best represents this drama: the mother daughter talking and hugging in bed. It brings back vivid memories of my late mom. Her smell, her strength, her softness, and her love. My mom was a vivacious busybody, and in the end bedridden with dementia with no recognition. She was bossy, oh but she listened too. There was give and take throughout our lives. While tending to her, she would tell me I was bossy 🤣. I was very close to her my entire life. My sisters were close to her, but in a distant “you’re not part of my daily life” closeness. They had their privacy, but lost out . Best choice I ever made 💗

I’m not even going there. Who’s to say what is entertainment? I’m not shallow for not wanting to watch this. I lost my mom this past year. We had to go to the mortuary to check her makeup and clothes. I was distraught seeing her that way. Knowing how they prepared her for burial. Seeing her lowered into the ground. I don’t watch c-dramas for deep emotions. We’re not even getting the correct translations.

Dropping this drama. I really tried. The opening funeral scene threw me off. Then fifteen minutes later, funeral drunk rituals. I’m not sure why it’s highly rated. It’s odd that the comment section is hyping it. My only guess is death is not a reality to commenters at this moment in their lives The subject matter is depressing. There are many feel good dramas out there that don’t revolve around death. Personal experience is enough for me ✌️

How much does the actual funeral makeup work into the story? Does it show him in the morgue? I hesitate because it started with embalming class. No matter how high quality, the subject matter has to be interesting not traumatizing. I stopped watching the I Am the Years You Are the Stars drama because of the subject matter

Comments hating the mother is as irritating as the mother. A broken record that never stops. The drama is produced and finalized way before we watch it. It’s like hitting your head against a wall. Accept it, or fast forward, or leave it. We all walked thru fire in the earlier episodes why must we hear it in the drama and MDL 🙅🏻

I like Loose Connections since both the mom and her ex suffer brain synapses of judgment, awareness, empathy , etc… Even ML is struggling

They’re good for each other. Unlike her mother, she is self-educated. Not necessarily book educated, but smart to learn and improve. She found her spark… him.

Existential question here: Why is the FL mom not working? Is she too busy breastfeeding her grown up children? Dancing in the square? She appears to be healthy. She’s energetic and attractive. They live close to hotels.

And there lies the reason why she meddles. An excuse to not work because she’s busy meddling. Instead of being drop dead exhausted like the rest of us. Get a job. Help out your family.

I agree it’s a different side of love. He’s devoted but weak and selfish. Do you want a spoiled son or life partner? He doesn’t even try. Loose connection there. The drama should have been named Loose Connections

The grandma is right then. He may be bloodline, but has no feeling for the hotel. It’s all about power.

She is an expert in Human Resources and Customer Service where he is lacking. They’ll make a good team. She has the vision and personal touch. He is administration. Looking forward to the second half.
