Comparing Wallace Chung emotionless facial expressions to Ren’s micro expressions is funny. Wallace is not romantic. His plastic face doesn’t even move.
Ren is a natural. Calm and sensitive. He’s the quiet and sensitive type that treats women respectfully. Going in if you know the kind of man why criticize just focus on the story. You can always dream about a hot version.

This is kind of out there but his reaction to her diagnosis reminded me of Ruthless People (a R-rated movie from the 80’s). I watched Amidst to about episode12. Then went back to watch their kiss scenes. A lot of closeups doesn’t make up for the lack of chemistry. Lamphrey kisses. She didn’t even move her face while kissing. I’m not into watching the evolution of the two lead actors into adult roles 🤢. Amidst tried to be the youth version of Road Home. With the snow, brooding stares, challenges, but it fell short. Everyone loves me is the best.
My own opinion I think this is his best drama yet. His height is not even noticeable because he’s so very sensitive to her every thought and need. He lets her be the boss. Perfect man for Zhou Ye. Did you see their BTS? He’s so crushing her. The other two act the same in every drama.
