Except for the maxmovie article, I also follow Korean articles from Theqoo, Intiz, and Naver. I believe they are more divided in their opinions about how the story and each character progress, but they clearly enjoy Geum Joo's story.
They kept trending in the early episodes, but I think lately it's difficult to find their articles in the trending and hot posts. It had to be because they had to compete with Castaway Diva and My Dearest p2, and Castaway Diva was always trending in the Intiz.
Except for last Saturday, when I noticed that this drama has become a hot topic again due to the chemistry between the female lead and the villain, and of course, the topic has become divided too.
I actually understand why i- viewers continue to condemn NamSoon's mother's story and sympathize with the villain. The title is NamSoon, but the director spends a lot of time on her mom's story and a lot of NamSoon scenes with the villain.
And I'm in the minority here, where I enjoy the grandma's story the most, despite the fact that many viewers here did not.

I just finished the most recent episode. We only have two episodes left, and I'm curious how the writer will wrap up this drama.

I really want to know the backstory of the male lead because he has so far been a boring character created by the writer; even Grandma's life has a backstory. Was his brother truly dead, or was there a reason why the writer wrote about ML talking about his brother?

Who is the leader of Pavel that ShiOh is afraid of?
I still don't think Grandma's boyfriend is the villain in this drama because he knows too much about NamSoon's family, and I don't think Mr. Bread is either because I believe he was raised by Pavel until he ran away from this organization.

So, two contract marriage dramas will air on the same day. My Demon and the Story of Park's Marriage Contract.
I believe this drama will be popular with international viewers, while TSOPMC will be popular with Korean viewers.

That's why I can understand why some viewers like this villain because, despite being brought up by the mafia, he isn't a psychopath like the villain in Vincenzo and probably still has a heart to care for someone like NamSoon.
There are also some viewers who disliked the protagonist characters because they had flaws similar to what you describe here.
What I disagree with some viewers is that they expected NamSoon to be with the villain.
Personally, a villain is still an antagonist who cannot be together with the protagonist even though they have chemistry.

Despite the bad scriptwriting, I'm still watching every scene with Kim Hae Sook because I like her acting and her character.

We have 2 more episodes after today's episode.
I can't wait to finish this drama so I can rate it as finished.
I'm curious how the writer plans to wrap up this drama after the plot for the entire series seems to be going around in circles with little progress.

I don't think the grandma's boyfriend is the bad guy. He just someone who want to take someone's wife.

I'm curious how evil the other guys are, to the point where Shi Oh says they're far more evil than him.

This drama will be on my watch list. Kim Hye Yoon is a great actress and it seems like she will be paired again with another tall actor.

I'd blame the screenwriting. It had potential in the first episode, but it went downhill after that, with the focus shifting to Namsoon's mother.
This title drama should have been called "Strong Woman Nam Soon's Mom."

Oh. I never thought of this as a romance drama, so the kiss scene didn't bother me.

Deserve 10/10 from me.

This title drama should have been titled "Strong Woman Hwang Geum Joo" instead.
Even she has more scenes with ML than FL does with ML at this point.

After NamSoon works with the CEO, I feel like NamSoon has a lot more scenes with the CEO, whereas the male lead has a lot of scenes with NamSoon's mother.

And in some episodes, NamSoon's mother has more scenes than NamSoon herself.

If they wrap up the last two episodes nicely, this drama deserves a 10 out of 10 from me.

We have 3 more ep left. The pace of this drama is actually really good. Moving would not feel rushed if it was made as the first season since I feel like this drama is just like the introduction to our heroes. Hopefully, there will be new seasons in the future.

I suppose this is what happens when you include something that wasn't in the original source.

Watching the recent episodes reminded me of why we need outstanding performers and why veteran actors have a different impact.
These two episodes made me cry, especially when Ryu Seung Ryong cried while wearing his trouser.

I believe that Family and Romance should have been included in this drama genre as well because they involve parents' love and protectiveness of their children, as well as their parents' romance story.

If they maintain the quality until the final episode. I dare say that this is one of the best K-dramas of all time.
So far, it's been fantastic.
