I really cant say much after only 2 episodes, but I like the vibe of this. Tired if all the fluff, so this fits my current mood. Looking forward to the next episodes.
Beautiful, heartbreaking story. This was such a great watch with great acting from all. I have seen the Korean remake, and although I like that version, I loved the original more.
Here are some highlights of the important episodes. I tried not spoil you too much. 33 -jumong goes missing. 35 -soseono makes an important decision 36 - we meet new important character 43 -jumong gets married and makes a decision that makes his friends feel betrayed 45 - jumong rescues the refugees 46 to 72 - lots of fighting, palace politics, more important characters are introduced and we loose some of our beloved characters. 73 - uniting the tribes and founding of Goguryeo 74 - 15 years later...Yuri
To me, it was a great watch. However, since there are 81 episodes, some of them are definitely slower than others. At episode 29, he is just starting to figure out what his purpose in life is.
What a great journey this was! I disliked Jumong in the first few episodes, but his character grew so much that I can honestly say, he is one of my favourite characters ever!
At a time when most dramas seem silly and shallow, I was looking for a story that had depth and heart... and this delivered. Dont be intimidated by the number of episodes, Jumong is worth your time.
I started to get into it from episode 7. I was not a fan of Jumong when we meet him. However, from episode 6-7, we really see him start to change. I only made it to episode 27 so far and its been very entertaining.
I hate the ending. I thought Amai and the Emperor will be reunited and reconcile after 3 years of not seeing each…
I don't see how that would ever be possible. He locked her up, withheld the truth about the death of her parents, betrayed her over and over again and got her best friend killed. That is NOT love. If she had forgiven him, it would have been a worse ending.
They still have four episodes to finally do something with this character! I mean, they have to do something;…
Hahaha. I feel like they have acknowledge it since the army is willing to rebel to support Amai every time she goes to the military camp. The ML is literally the ball and chain for Amai. He keeps holding her back. I'm starting to feel like she doesn't belong anywhere, that is why I think she will choose her freedom over everything else.

Not holding my breath for the ML to miraculously change. I think Amai will learn the truth in Beimo and revolt against the ML to save the crown prince. In the end she(who is loved by 3 powerful men) in going end up alone in seclusion to protect herself and the crown prince.

The selfish king is being manipulated by everyone around him and he doesn't even realize it.
