Compared to Algernon Ni Hanataba O with Yamapi, how good is this?
This one is quite good, as well. I personally preferred the writing and cast of Algernon Ni Hanataba O, but this is definitely worth the watch, and is still very moving. Both Tomohisa Yamashita [Sakuto] and Yusuke Santamaria [Haru] did a great job portraying the sweetness, innocence, and vulnerability of a learning disabled individual. I found both their performances to be greatly moving.
This is a worthwhile watch. I'm a sucker for star-crossed lovers who fight to stay together against all odds. The part with the thieves was fun to watch, and I loved the character of Sakuramaru. He was delightfully evil hehe... I wish they went into a bit more depth on his story, but it was great nonetheless.
I wanna watch this so bad but 90% of the story is dialogue. Usually I can watch something RAW and not really care, but I know I'm gonna need to understand what they're saying to really appreciate this. Hopefully I don't die before this gets subbed T_T
And also the fact that the culprits are still alive and free...(*_*)O_o
Whaaat really??? I don't know when this stuff took place but I'd imagine they'd have been in jail for the rest of their lives?? Unless they were young teens, then the law might have been more lenient, but still...wow.
This was pretty entertaining. I was interested the whole way through, and found the characters to be well-written/thought out. I was a little upset that they killed the dude who didn't actually cut up the prostitutes face. He didn't seem evil and was the only one who showed remorse. Oh well, good movie.

But seriously, what a wonderful masterpiece. It's the perfect length, with the perfect cast. Bravo!
