Hating him?where😭, everywhere I go everyone is praising him and excited for this, thank God,looks like I am…
Toxic individuals aren't those who have a different preference, they are those who make derogatory comments towards gay people and actors playing gay roles. I've seen these comments on online platforms. For example, regarding the movie "Kill Boksoon," some MDL commenters called gay people sinful and claimed that they should be grateful to even be allowed to exist

"Reading that omegaverse is NOT yaoi was liberating, so true. Also it has nothing to do with LGBTQ+"It is, it's…
"However I'm not convinced that the reason behing it is to make the stroy "less gay" or any homophobic one"

My humble theory is that the feminization of omegas is symptomatic of societal homophobia and bias towards traditional familial structures. Omegaverse authors equip omegas with the ability to become pregnant, positioning them as passive, submissive characters the purpose of which is to submit to alphas and bear their offspring. Omegaverse upholds the belief that traditional familial structures are the only "valid" form of relationship, alpha-alpha, alpha-beta relationships aren't tolerated. These are the same straight dynamics that see women as inferior to men and existing for procreation. They deny omegas their agency and autonomy

The homophobia in omegaverse is in the implication that non-procreative relationships, actual gay relationships, are inferior. Two men can't procreate, authors feminize one character, creating a new gender and creature with a masculine appearance to maintain the illusion of a gay relationship, yet erasing the nuances of gay identities and relationships

Examined under a microscope (a fandom’s lens), brainless porn is a catalyst for the genre. Another catalyst is homophobia, the crafty beast shaping the world and fiction more than we realize

Your theory isn't wrong, it's just different from mine. There’s more than one way to look at the origins of omegaverse. We're looking at the same painting and interpreting the same subject from different angles

There will always be people who hate on actors playing gay roles. There are also many voices of support. Let's make sure the positive voices are heard louder than the toxic ones

Just because someone doesn't agree with the gay lifestyle doesn't make them a homophobic. I've come across lots…
"You JUST expressed an opinion"
"Everyone needs to respect each other and learn to agree to disagree and not bully others in mob mentality"

You didn't learn to respect our opinion or agree to disagree. I disagree with the people "disagreeing" with the "gay lifestyle." My opinion is that the people "disagreeing" with the "gay lifestyle" are homophobic

The only one bullying here is you, with your off-topic, self-centered blabbering about how "not all straight people" are out to hunt us down. We know that. You're not "teaching" us the "error of our ways"

Now, if you could agree to disagree and take your pity party elsewhere, we'd appreciate it

Hope we get a female lead who is about 4/6 years younger. His other female leads have been so much younger. I…
This will be a gay romance, and the focus will be on the relationship between two male leads, with any female characters most likely taking on supporting roles (family member, relative, friend, etc)

It might not be the type of story you were expecting, but that's the beauty of storytelling, there's something out there for everyone

Being gay isn't a "lifestyle," it's a part of who someone is

"I hate straight identifying people and their lifestyle" doesn't carry weight or power. This expression of frustration is a reaction to the oppression gay people face on a daily basis. "I hate gay people and their lifestyle" is different, it's unprovoked and ignorant. Straight identifying people hate gay people for who they are, and they have acted on their hatred to exclude gay people from key social, political, economic arenas, or to deprive them of equal rights and opportunities in employment, housing, marriage, media representation, etc

I have experimentally expressed hatred towards straight identifying people, and I have received backlash. Expressions of hatred towards gay people are the ones excused or dismissed as mere "opinions" or "cultural norms," despite the negative consequences they had and have on gay people

Could you please tell us what the message hsroag tryna tell from the original novel? 🥹, Because, weren't you…
These people are projecting their issues onto you and others. They say, "you talk just to talk," what they’re really saying is, "we talk just to talk and we’re deflecting that by accusing you of the same thing"

Your English is more than good enough for people to understand you

OP's English might not have been perfect, but it wasn't terrible. We're having a discussion, not vying for a spot on the New York Times bestseller list or auditioning for a role in a Shakespearean play

You've been keeping tabs on OP for "literal weeks," haven't you? Please use the time to work on yourselves. Your comments are making me want to cringe so hard my face might fall off

You came here alone to yap is enough to prove that this STRAIGHT drama make a decent noise that had the bl community…
Straight storylines aren't limitless, there are only so many ways to make a boy and a girl meet. The illusion of variety is due to the sheer number of these storylines

Bromances are benefiting from the experience and knowledge of an established drama industry. BL is a new frontier that's having to start from scratch in creating its own guidelines and norms

It's not a skill issue, it's a resource issue. BL operates in the confines of a homophobic society that's overtly or covertly hostile towards same-sex relationships. The mainstream appeal of bromances is in their adherence to familiar gender roles and assumptions about sexuality. "Men are just friends," they say. "Relationships are between a man and a woman." BL pushes back against this assumption and redefines what romance looks like by depicting male-male emotional and physical intimacy. As a result of its defiance, BL faces an uphill battle in securing funding and attracting a larger audience. It's at a disadvantage in terms of financial, creative resources. Social constraints limit the range and complexity of its storytelling

However, BL is breaking new ground in a genre that's taboo. This is no small feat and should be commended for its bravery. I believe the bravery is worth more than "outplotting" or "outdoing"

The historical BL drama "I Feel You Linger in the Air" seems to have struck a chord with you. I, too, appreciate the depth of historical BL/gay stories, and I hope that more of them will be written and brought to life in the future

Yeah
Chan Young was a stand-out in "All of Us Are Dead," I understand that you’d want to follow his work

Those of us who have chosen not to watch the drama are expressing our opinions and preferences, we're not stopping you from enjoying the drama. Have fun

2 homophobic losers just blocked me after those yaps they were saying just because i criticized their favorite…
I'd log out and see them announce their blockings publicly. They'd say, “you're BLOCKED" or "thanks for offering yourself up as tribute, BLOCKED"

Looks like it's a really weak movie since actually no one is talking about it hereXD but there's a huge battle…
"Reading that omegaverse is NOT yaoi was liberating, so true. Also it has nothing to do with LGBTQ+"

It is, it's liberating to see others acknowledging the truth. The more people who are willing to speak up, the better

"Since omega can give birth, so where exactly does the baby came out? Through the anus?"

Omega characters typically possess wombs that are connected to their anuses. The anal structure of omegas is reminiscent of the cloaca present in female members of other species. In instances of "home birth" or unassisted delivery, a "baby" passes through an omega's cloaca-like anus. Some omegas undergo cesarean sections in hospitals, and a surgical incision is made through the abdomen and womb for the extraction of the "baby"

Omegaverse isn't well-planned or well-reasoned. The people who cooked up the genre were "thinking" with their nether regions. They didn't try to create a coherent, meaningful story, they jammed in non-human elements (heat, rut, and pheromones) to make the story more furry/more straight/less gay

If you're going to dismiss BLs for their "semi-porn bait," you might as well dismiss all rom-coms for their clichéd, repetitive meet-cute disasters, all dramas for their overwrought melodrama, all straight stories for their copious amounts of plot-irrelevant make-out or "sex" scenes that titillate the audience and boost ratings, etc. The "romance" in straight dramas/movies is just "hand-holding bait" or "make-out/soft porn bait." People get a kick out of seeing others hold hands and lock lips

Some BLs might be heavy on the steamy scenes, but I wouldn't complain about too much flavor in a good story. Every genre has its duds and diamonds

"If that's you call complex and beautiful, nah, thank you"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or in the heart of a BL fan. The "countless BLs" you're not a fan of aren't terrible to me

And BLs are in their early stages. They're toddlers learning how to walk, you can't expect them to be perfect right out of the gate. Give them time to find their footing, they'll be running marathons in no time

"Literally beating the shit out of 2 on going bl drama on VIU, not to mention they did this in a pride month, oh what an ICON ! !"

You're ... celebrating the censorship of a gay story during Pride Month? That's a lot of words for "I'm homophobic"

This shallow, heteronormative puddle isn't more impressive or iconic than a majestic gay waterfall (BL). The puddle is accessible and easy to understand, but it's also boring. The gay waterfall (BL), on the other hand, is beautiful, complex, and multi-faceted. People chose to wade in the shallow puddle of a heteronormative drama when they could've explored the breathtaking waterfall of a heartfelt BL/gay story
