it’s hilarious that I have been a Xu Kai fan since his literal start through all the ups and downs, would take a bullet for him and yet get called a hater for daring to be honest about his drama’s (Good and Bad)

this is not the way people. it’s ok to be honest. Everyone has different taste and expectations. Xu Kai has made some of my absolute FAVORITE top 5 drama’s. He’s made some flops. All any fan of his wants is for his career to be managed well and to his favor.

Snow Eagle thus far is below the quality expected. it’s OK to say that!!!!

Here’s to hoping it gets better! and if not, there are more Xu Kai drama’s on the way! I just want the best for him! I don’t want him being used to try to carry low quality drama’s on his back. Ok? Ok 🤗

Legend of Fei wasn’t a Xianxia but the production execution was much much better. It’s not about being a Xianxia.…
Xu Kai is the outlier. The fight scenes have awful wire work and old outdated slow Mo /speed transitions. It is more pronounced in the first few episodes so there is room for improvement but sorry, this is extremely low budget in its execution. It literally looks like it was made in 2015. Filming techniques, color grading, wire work, cinematography have all improved since then.

I don't think CGI is bad; it's decent. We have only seen six episodes, so we can't judge this drama solely based…
Legend of Fei wasn’t a Xianxia but the production execution was much much better. It’s not about being a Xianxia. Historical Drama’s can have good cinematography. This has poor cinematography. It’s not just a CGI issue. The fight scenes are poorly filmed with old school techniques and the special effects makeup is even poor. Yes, a good story can overcome such things, but in comparison to other productions in the last 3 years this looks outdated.

Alright I'm out. For those novel fans, they changed 99% of the story. Chinese novel fans are fuming in weibo rn.…
It’s not even just bad CGI. It’s the whole production, cinematography, musical score…… I knew from the trailer it looked bad but kept my hopes up. Thank goodness Xu Kai has Wonderland of Love to recover from this mess.

Pro’s: Xu Kai looks absolutely gorgeous head to toe in this.

Cons: it’s 2023 and this is using 2015 special effects and production techniques. it’s giving low budget. Maybe I expect too much. Fans of older school style will like it. Wish the director of Legend of Fei made this. It could have been excellent.

Personally think Xu Kai deserves strictly higher class S+ production at this point in his career.

will comment more after I get through the next few episodes.

This is so beautifully shot and musically scored. Bai Jing Ting/Gu Jiusi is quickly climbing the ranks of best husbands in cdramaland. Funny, Smart, Strong, Loyal, Protective, adorable! I am loving Gu Juisi 😍😍😍😍 I also love the mother in law/daughter in law healthy loving supportive relationship.

I did not expect, in any way, to love this as much as I did but it’s left a deep impression in my heart.

A beautiful, superb melodrama that completely exceeded expectations.

The performances were breathtaking. These two had extreeeeeme chemistry. Without speaking they could burn up a room.

you definitely have to be in the mood for a slow burn angsty Melo to appreciate this. Our 2 main leads are both powerhouses of stoic emotionally damaged characters who find love and healing through each other.

uggghhhh I’m still crying. wish this was on Netflix instead of Hulu so more people could watch it.

I watch this after See you in my 19th life but it makes me feels that the editing and the style of See you did…
I’m really not talking about the plot. Not at all. Not even comparing plots because they are totally different genre’s and shouldn’t be compared.

I’m comparing cinematography, direction, production, color, music. It’s quite low budget and boring /old fashioned in that respect. Just not what I love but I’m happy many people like it.

I wish I watched this BEFORE “See you in my 19th life” because the bar was set so high by SYIMNL that this feels …….. meh and uninspired in comparison 😩

the style of shooting, colors, styling, music …. this feels very very old style standard verging on outdated Kdrama a la 2015….. for better or worse 🥴
