Yea, people guessed it right already. Those women were on the boats during the wedding procession. Question is…
I said the same. He uses her to throw her away. That’s his M.O. he said she would go to her demise and sent her to the lake so I think it’s more likely that the Mama Jin minions were just following her all along and tracked her to the lake and saved her. The scene between mama Jin & Cho Yeon was to tell her not to kill her if the minions found her probably

I hope that drama “Moving” will air soon before december. I want it to be a huge hit drama (most probably…
I don’t think that will make any difference. Most people are not making a judgement about GYJ abilities. GYJ could be Oscar caliber talented. It’s not that that is the issue. It doesn’t matter who the actress is in Part 2. It’s not about her talent or popularity level. It’s a matter of one actress having 99% of the screen time creating *two* characters that the audience got to care about and be invested in. With her micro expressions and mannerisms and all those little things that make every person unique. People are attached to Mudeok as characterized by the actress who played her. They are attached to Bu Yeon as the actress who played her. They aren’t attached to GYJ playing Naksu and it will take a lot happening during Part 2 to for viewers to adjust. If the scriptwriters and production people know some secret way to make it work out, it will! But if it doesn’t it’s not GYJ or JSM or their fans fault….. it’s the show producers fault for how they formatted the show. Hopefully it all works!

They would be fools if they tried and they know it. "Naksu the Assasin" was a creation of Jin Mu - most of her…
Was she subservient to men or did she make one man her pupil, another man her helper and secret protector and become a Crown Princes confident to the point that he was willing to help cheat on exam and deliver her the answers himself. On the surface she was a subservient maid but underneath that she was anything but. She had all of them protecting and serving her secretly. That’s pretty badass. Yes, ideally she lives a free life as herself not in fear or hiding. But I disagree with this narrative that OG Naksu was a stronger woman rather than a brainwashed girl subservient Jin Mu.

I totally agree, instead of badass female assassin whose father and family were slaughtered then being manipulated…
Your last paragraph contradicts that you totally understand the point the drama was making. You are so focused on OUTWARD ideals. “Resestablishing her power. Regaining respect from all.” This is called Ego. The entire point of Mudeoks arc is that she is not driven by her EGO. Her need for recognition. She doesn’t give AF about that. YOU want her recognized because it somehow satisfies your feelings that without that respect from OTHERS, without possessing Mage skills she is LESS than. Below. IE: The maid washing the Mages umderwear is BENEATH them.

She doesn’t need to wield her sword. In fact, she may never wield it again. It’s badass to be a brainwashed assassin used all her life and subservient to Jin Mu and kill anyone he demands? That’s empowering? Maid Mudeok made one man her pupil and fiancé. Another man her secret protector and a Crown Prince take her as confident who cared so much for her he was willing to clear and give her the exam questions. If you look at the surface all you see is a maid instead of someone capable of making 3 strong men secretly serve her interests and do what she wanted.

It’s fine if you can’t stand her character arc because you can’t stand a woman who finds pride in being the best MAID instead of the best MAGE. The point is she is diligent and excels at anything she does. Her fulfillment doesn’t come from the CP or Songrim Mages respecting her. She doesn’t give AF about them to care about their respect like you do.

Not every story has to have such a perfect arc where the character gets to regain everything they had to be a good character arc. The idea she has to regain her mage skills to be respected and empowered is not true. Not if having them costs too much. It’s great if she can have them back and not have to lose something else in return. But that’s not what this shows about.

Exactly. To me this is way more likely based on logic and the crumbs from the trailer

They did JSM dirty, they used her hardwork to give successful lead debut to cameo naksu. They messed up everything…
Yup. 18 Again was able to do it with simple visual cues of the Oreo actors in strategic scenes. It’s literally the simplest thing to film and edit sprinkled throughout a few episodes. I had warned about this backlash for weeks because it was so obvious people would react this way.

Instead of GYJ fans fighting JSM or MuDeok/Bu Yeon fans I wish they would direct there frustration at the Scriptwriters/director/Producer for putting GYJ in this awful situation that she has to walk into.

Why you guys are so immature over female leads??? It's just a dramaBy doing this, You re only hurting GYJ's feelings…
I think you’re blaming the wrong people. Blame the scriptwriters not the viewers. It is there choice to tell and show the story this way. It was also their choice to end Part 1 in the manner they chose which is why people will vent and speculate. They could have ended part 1 at episode 19. Since they made this choice viewers will react until the rest of the story is told. Most viewers associate “Naksu” as a remorseless killer whose face they barely saw. Versus 2 Bu Yeon and Mudeoks hybrid version of Naksu + Bu Yeon with the face of Bu Yeon for 99% of the show. They put both actresses in a terrible position.

This reaction is obvious, common sense and predictable.

But it was the writers choice so blame them 🤷🏻‍♀️ They are responsible

The people who have been rooting for the return of badass Naksu may never get her. At least not back in GYJ body. For all we know she returns as Cho Yeong and never picks up a sword again.

The title "Light and Shadow"Uk is now Shadow and Naksu is Light? The preview gives that vibes. or both Light and…
In Yin and Yang light and shadow need each other to exist. If one dies so must the other cease to exist.

Jang Uks name means Light
Cho Yeong means Shadow.

“Yin and yang were seen to mutually create each other, mutually control each other and mutually transform into each other. They formed a perfect, perfectly shifting universe where one became the other before turning back into itself again.”

“ yin and yang are the way of sky and earth. Fundamental to all things, they are the parents of change and transformation, the origin and beginning of birth and destruction ”

It's more like Cho Yeong vs Jin Cho-Yeon. Or Yeong vs Cho-Yeon.
It is still an interesting choice. All 3 girls are Bu Yeon, Cho Yeon and …….. Yeong. I was googling trying to see if in Korean the G makes it completely different or not.

In response to reviewers and commenters saying “Naksu was such a strong badass woman and then she decides to be happy just being a maid? A housewife? What happened to our strong woman? I can’t believe they turned her into choosing to just be some weak ass housewife.”

I think people saying this think it is some kind of feminist position. It is not. It’s the Jin Mu position. The whole show is about how bad this mindset is. It places power as a virtue and EGO above all else. Love is not a weakness. Love that creates feelings of empathy and sympathy and bonds that are so strong you are willing to do whatever it takes to protect people is not weakness. Sacrificing your own power is not weakness. Serving people is not a weakness!!!! It is much harder to serve people than be served. It is much harder to persevere as servant than the master being served.

Furthermore, choosing to just be a wife and mother and cooking and cleaning is not weakness. Using your wits to outsmart people in place of brute strength is not weakness. Letting go of the desire for power because the cost is too high is not weakness. BEING A MAID IS NOT WEAK. This kind of thinking is so Elitist and classist it’s gross. You’re projecting your own personal prejudices. You clearly look down on maids and housewives. . If a man made this choice people would think it was noble but if a woman does it it’s suddenly some anti feminist weak ass choice. This is literally how Jin Mu thinks! Congrats your thinking is on the same level as our villain!

The point of this dramas whole story is that you cannot have it all. Everything comes with a cost. “ Badassness” comes with a cost. Yin and Yang. Choosing a simple life as a housewife isnt weak. Using housewife as some pejorative is nasty. It’s not feminist. Just say you wanted to watch a show about a remorseless murderous female assassin who gets chased and fights people for 20 episodes and go.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk 🤗

You guys, I have to ask this because I have been thinking about this for a long time now. Why is everybody so…
The biggest evidence for me was when Mama Jin was strangling Mudeok and she had the flash of childhood memories and said “Ohmani”.

But I don’t know if she left the body after that conversation in the ice stone.

I like where your head is at. Jin Mu is devious AF so can’t put anything past him. We have 4 months to keep throwing stuff at the wall. We can’t limit ourselves 😂😂😂😂😂

Here's an alternative theory for you, guys, how Naksu will return into her body that doesn't involve any crazy…
Wouldn’t her want to move her into a new body where she would not be recognized by anyone and then able to be more stealthy? He wanted her OG body gone before and then for her to be dead so she could never be linked back to him. His whole thing is remove all evidence. So it just seems more likely if he rescued her (why rescue her when you sent her to her demise)why would he send her back into the body everyone knows he trained as the assassin. Wouldn’t he rather shift her into someone new. I don’t know 😫😭

GYJ in white dress must have new identity (pretending to be someone to continue hiding just like mudeok). She…
She’s gonna have to be careful! Jin Mu, Park danggu, Park Jin, all the mages she fought and people who watched her burn have seen her real face 😫

Because it doesn’t look like good writing?
I am rooting for them because I want this show to make sense and be enjoyable. I wouldn’t say I have faith in them though. They really have a history of badly written second half’s. So I only hold onto my hope lol
