I watched the preview many times. Naksu looks very different. She seems in the different state. A lot of fans…
She’s already got partial amnesia at the cliff before she jumps if you think about it 🫠

Really hoping they don’t go that route.

They definitely made a clear and concerted effort to style her *very* differently from not just her OG image but also differently from all the returning players in the trailer. I don’t know if it reads amnesia to me (it could just as easily read someone else is inside her) I won’t speculate the reason but it’s clear. Even her hair and clothing is not typical of what anyone wears in public in the Daeho universe. The simple hair down with the white undercoat/almost nightgown time simple dress. It’s dreamy goddess vibes.

this drama had a lot of flaws to me but still I was rooting for it to hit double ratings cuz I do want this to…
It seems like there is a ceiling for Fantasy drama’s in Korea. This is one of the reasons I wish people were not comparing EAW ratings to AOS ratings. One is meant for easy watching by all ages/families. The other features violence and dark concepts not suited for all audiences. Hopefully this and the second season of Arthdal Chronicles can break through some of that ceiling with their popularity and quality of production/storytelling.

Internet detectives seem to get clues that it might be Mama Jins ladies that were seen during the wedding scene on the boat.

Yes, the “Bell” that can cause any soul shifter to run wild and become a zombie killing machine because of a Shaman curse on the soul ejectors that was never once revealed before (this is Peak Absurdity) “Oh by the way all soul ejectors are cursed by the shaman queen!”

The question of “where was BY” is one we are all asking. Was she just overpowered by Jin Mu when he “activated Naksu’s powers” inside her body? That would be another last minute “Oh By the way if Naksu activates her powers she will start to run wild!” Absurd plot twist that breaks all previous show history.

Since Naksu DID use her powers to kill the soul shifter to save Jang Uk and nothing happened to her then it contradicts the “she can’t use her powers or she’ll petrify” I’m sure they’ll explain it as something to do with the ice stone at that time but it still lacks logic. All soul shifters could use their powers then and they didn’t all have the ice stone inside them.

My theory is Bu Yeons soul was just not there at that time. It went somewhere else after the Ice Stone Fiasco. So she couldn’t stop Jin Mu from activating Naksu’s power. And once Naksu’s power activates, as Master Lee said, this creates a crack and they start to petrify (despite us seeing her use her powers literally one episode earlier with no problems)

Just as this article came out today, last week an article came out that said “Jung So Min DOES NOT appear in Part 2. And they cited double confirmation from a TVN source. So that was why *fans of the show, fans of Mu-Deok, fans of Jin Bu Yeon* not just “JSM fans” reacted. Had multiple articles not been circulated how do you think people would get the idea she doesn’t appear in Part 2. It’s because it was said in an article just like this one.

So you can stay annoyed but you shouldn’t be annoyed at the people posting. You should be annoyed at the reckless articles being written and circulated with conflicting information.

However , one thing I didnt get it, though Mudeok/Naksu got influenced by JinMu (even if that is acceptable),…
Because they pulled an absurd rabbit out of a hat with the last minute “all soul ejectors are cursed” here’s a Bell that can hypnotize her into a murderous zombie killing machine. If you are hypnotized then typically when you come out of it your mind may block it off. Especially if it’s traumatic.

I’m deluding myself into the idea that it’s not going to play out the way everyone thinks and there is some way in the end for JBY and Mu-Deok/Cho Yeon to still exist as one.

I keep trying to think of why they styled GJY/ OG Naksu so drastically different not just from her previous look, but different from everyone else in the trailer. Like she’s an angel, or a dream (since her dress looks like an undercoat)

Me and my annoying brain trying to make it all make sense 🤯😭😂

Title Alchemy of Souls Spoiler
Alright I am back and still BITTER but I am keeping it together. I am keeping it together. I do have some questions,…
You are not alone. GYJ has a very passionate but very young fanbase so they are louder and very active on Social Media versus JSM who has an older established fanbase who aren’t nearly as active here or on Twitter so the vast majority of people unhappy arent unhappy because of a bias towards JSM, they are just very invested in the character of Mu-deok, who despite what people say, is NOT exactly Naksu. This can be clearly seen by the Bell scenes which return her to a cold hearted-assassin. Naksu is a creation of Jin Mu. She’s not someone to root for nor feel an attachment to. Mu-Deok is a HYBRID of Naksu and a completely different personality that combined people fell in love with and became attached to. Her mannerisms, micro facial expressions, her dynamics with each character…..So a “Return” to Naksu is not something most people feel comfortable with rightly. Dismissing that is absurd. Add to that the complete lack of scenes sprinkling GYJ visuals throughout 19 long episodes and it was easily predictable that the vast majority of online reactions to the season finale is people feeling dissatisfied/betrayed/frustrated and conflicted for all the same reasons. It’s very easy to dismiss people feeling this way if all you care about is the return of “Naksu” but most people actually care about what they’ve spent over 20 hours watching with Mu-Deok and there IS a difference between the two.

“it’s NAKSU’s soul inside” …… Actually it’s CHO YEONG’S Soul inside and the audience does not associate OG Naksu with CHO YEONG. CHO YEONG is the person Mu-Deok evolved into when she finally found love, trust & piece and that was within the visual and emotional context of Mu-Deok/JSM.

And all of that isn’t even touching on the matter of Jin Bu YEON who also we are more attached to then OG Naksu the assassin. Bu YEON, in restraining “Naksu” allowed us to get to know someone different than Naksu…. Bu Yeon in her way helped shape Mu-Deok into finding herself by SHEDDING Naksu. Cho-Yeong had shedded Naksu from her life and found happiness. It’s a fuxxing tragedy what’s being done to her.

So I’m genuinely perplexed that they chose to keep the Mu-Deok storyline going for 19 episodes if their intention was to essentially kill off her character and go back to OG GYJ Naksu. They should have brought her back much sooner, or at a minimum they should have used her in scenes regularly to differentiate and grow us accustomed to her as a part of the Mu-Deok personality.

Anyway, I pray it all makes sense logically and emotionally once the story is completed. Otherwise it will be an EPIC miscalculation from the creators/directors by choosing to remove GJY completely for nearly 70% of the episodes.

Sigh. *Hugs* Welcome to Alchemy of Souls Conflicted Watchers Anonymous!!! ✨💎👑🥴💔😩😍🫣🤯

Looks like they are going to reveal it only when it's near the airdate like AoS. The return cast is only JDG and…
AOS confirmed almost all of the cast except JSM. AC on the other hand has only confirmed 4 cast members and many of the others I follow closely and they are doing other projects, Yeonbol for instance is in a play so he can’t be filming which worries me. The time jump of 10 years worries me and many fans so it would be good to at least see more familiar faces be confirmed. I’m mainly looking for Mubeak and Yangcha. If Yangcha has been recast I know many people who will riot lol

Yes but I couldn’t decide if it was just for vibes or it was plot crumbs.

Arthdal Chronicles…. My most favorite Kdrama ever that got butchered by breaking it up into 3 parts ending on a cliffhanger in 2019. They JUST started filming the sequel but without some of the original cast.

I take solace in the fact this is the classical lowest point of the story where everything is bad for the heroes…
Part 2 is already almost done filming and will air Dec 10th so it’s THANKFULLY not an Arthdal situation (Arthdal is my favorite Kdrama so this debacle is light work compared to what they did with AC 😭)
