I’m deluding myself into the idea that it’s not going to play out the way everyone thinks and there is some way in the end for JBY and Mu-Deok/Cho Yeon to still exist as one.
I keep trying to think of why they styled GJY/ OG Naksu so drastically different not just from her previous look, but different from everyone else in the trailer. Like she’s an angel, or a dream (since her dress looks like an undercoat)
Me and my annoying brain trying to make it all make sense 🤯😭😂
Alright I am back and still BITTER but I am keeping it together. I am keeping it together. I do have some questions,…
You are not alone. GYJ has a very passionate but very young fanbase so they are louder and very active on Social Media versus JSM who has an older established fanbase who aren’t nearly as active here or on Twitter so the vast majority of people unhappy arent unhappy because of a bias towards JSM, they are just very invested in the character of Mu-deok, who despite what people say, is NOT exactly Naksu. This can be clearly seen by the Bell scenes which return her to a cold hearted-assassin. Naksu is a creation of Jin Mu. She’s not someone to root for nor feel an attachment to. Mu-Deok is a HYBRID of Naksu and a completely different personality that combined people fell in love with and became attached to. Her mannerisms, micro facial expressions, her dynamics with each character…..So a “Return” to Naksu is not something most people feel comfortable with rightly. Dismissing that is absurd. Add to that the complete lack of scenes sprinkling GYJ visuals throughout 19 long episodes and it was easily predictable that the vast majority of online reactions to the season finale is people feeling dissatisfied/betrayed/frustrated and conflicted for all the same reasons. It’s very easy to dismiss people feeling this way if all you care about is the return of “Naksu” but most people actually care about what they’ve spent over 20 hours watching with Mu-Deok and there IS a difference between the two.
“it’s NAKSU’s soul inside” …… Actually it’s CHO YEONG’S Soul inside and the audience does not associate OG Naksu with CHO YEONG. CHO YEONG is the person Mu-Deok evolved into when she finally found love, trust & piece and that was within the visual and emotional context of Mu-Deok/JSM.
And all of that isn’t even touching on the matter of Jin Bu YEON who also we are more attached to then OG Naksu the assassin. Bu YEON, in restraining “Naksu” allowed us to get to know someone different than Naksu…. Bu Yeon in her way helped shape Mu-Deok into finding herself by SHEDDING Naksu. Cho-Yeong had shedded Naksu from her life and found happiness. It’s a fuxxing tragedy what’s being done to her.
So I’m genuinely perplexed that they chose to keep the Mu-Deok storyline going for 19 episodes if their intention was to essentially kill off her character and go back to OG GYJ Naksu. They should have brought her back much sooner, or at a minimum they should have used her in scenes regularly to differentiate and grow us accustomed to her as a part of the Mu-Deok personality.
Anyway, I pray it all makes sense logically and emotionally once the story is completed. Otherwise it will be an EPIC miscalculation from the creators/directors by choosing to remove GJY completely for nearly 70% of the episodes.

Looks like they are going to reveal it only when it's near the airdate like AoS. The return cast is only JDG and…
AOS confirmed almost all of the cast except JSM. AC on the other hand has only confirmed 4 cast members and many of the others I follow closely and they are doing other projects, Yeonbol for instance is in a play so he can’t be filming which worries me. The time jump of 10 years worries me and many fans so it would be good to at least see more familiar faces be confirmed. I’m mainly looking for Mubeak and Yangcha. If Yangcha has been recast I know many people who will riot lol

Arthdal Chronicles…. My most favorite Kdrama ever that got butchered by breaking it up into 3 parts ending on a cliffhanger in 2019. They JUST started filming the sequel but without some of the original cast.
I wonder if its the writers or TVN/ suits fault for the unnecessary length of the series 1. If the script was…
TVN completely messed up how they aired Arthdal Chronicles in 3 parts and it destroyed a lot of the momentum and ratings suffered. I don’t know it’s TVN or Studio Dragons decision though (they also made AC….)
I take solace in the fact this is the classical lowest point of the story where everything is bad for the heroes…
Part 2 is already almost done filming and will air Dec 10th so it’s THANKFULLY not an Arthdal situation (Arthdal is my favorite Kdrama so this debacle is light work compared to what they did with AC 😭)
Reddit is the darkest place I've ever seen... I'm happy that I won't see those comments :")
I will say Kdrama Reddit is heavily moderated and not like most of Reddit. It’s actually a really civil sub and the comments are well written with a lot of thoughtful points that I didn’t even think about. It’s definitely one of the few good subs on there. Cdrama Sub is also very good.
My poor Naksu……. I don’t see how she gets to ever live a happy life after todays rampage. No matter how you look at it even if others forgive her she won’t forgive herself. And now both of her faces/identities are seen as killers.
I keep trying to think of why they styled GJY/ OG Naksu so drastically different not just from her previous look, but different from everyone else in the trailer. Like she’s an angel, or a dream (since her dress looks like an undercoat)
