There are so many LJW fans here, I wonder how would you have reacted if it was him who's about be replaced after…
You sometimes live in my head because I wanted to write this last week lol
If tomorrow Uk’s soul shifts into one of the random Songrim mages and Jang Uks real body is cremated with Lee Jae Wook never to return for Part 2 so now it’s Naksu and one of the mages for 10 episodes I’m sure everyone will say “No problem! It’s just the soul! He’s still the same person!”
I *think* it’s because he had to choose between protecting Do-Hwa’s reputation or absolving /separating Jang…
It’s not protecting just “ someone else”. It’s protecting his *living* son. Do-Hwa already died when Uk was born. So all that was left was her reputation.
Faced with preserving her reputation or protecting his *living* child don’t you think he makes the least bad choice. He had no GOOD choices. He can’t reveal the truth!!!!! You want justice for Do-Hwa as we all do but that justice puts Uk in Danger.
For Uk to be safeguarded Jang Gang cannot have Uk descending publicly from either him OR the king. So an affair with a nobody is the only remaining option to protect his son.
Why's this btard saying his wife had an affair when clearly he screwed up and the poor wife was raped, abandoned…
I *think* it’s because he had to choose between protecting Do-Hwa’s reputation or absolving /separating Jang Uk of his fathers sins.
If he says Jang Uk is his son, then immediately Jang Uk is marked with an X and people will demand he pay for the sins of his father and maybe even try to get revenge on him.
If he says Jang Uk is NOT his…… he protects Uk from people who hate Jang Gang and instead people will take pity on Jang Uk.
He also cannot reveal Uk’s 👑✨ because this will also put Uk in danger of being killed.
So he had to sacrifice his own pride, his wife’s reputation and in the end his own life to do his best to protect Jang Uk from all angles.
Can someone clarify how the late king is related to the current king? And if the late king was revealed to have…
Late King was current Kings brother.
Late King died before Jang Uks birth, before Jang Gang knew he was born with the Kings star so Late Kings brother had already ascended the throne. If Jang Uks origins were revealed now that a new King was already enthroned it would have been immediate threat to New King and they would try to kill him to secure the throne.
Remains a mystery to me.Jin Mu lied to Papa Jin to manipulate him, its obvious to me. But he believed because…
It was written VERY badly I agree. But Jin Mu himself makes it clear in his narration when he says that she is half Jin/Half Choi.
The rest of the dialogue after that is just to explain why from Papa Jin’s perspective he was willing to use JBY to take control of the ice stone. They needed to explain why he would do this to his own daughter. So him saying he thinks she must be Jang Gangs explains it. But Jin Mu is making it clear that it was not actually true.
And wait Jin byeon was told to be jang gang's daughter right? So they are practically siblings 🤔
She’s really his daughter. Jin Mu just used his insecurity complex to make him doubt it so he would be ok getting rid of her so they could control the ice stone. Jin Mu makes it clear in his narration that she is Half Jin/ Half CHOI.
Yea, though there will still be questions to be addressed as to how and why it was hidden (her body was officially…
Exactly. This is my main Hangup about the Jin Mu ice theory. At the time he burned her body he really really wanted her gone specifically so she could never come back to get revenge on him or tell on him. There is zero motivation for why he would keep her body with what he knew at that specific time.
Furthermore Gil Ju stashed her body somewhere why wouldn’t he tell her/them that when he was telling them everything else as he was dying. Even if it was a super cryptic clue.
I eagerly await how this bunny gets pulled from the hat!
I really can't tell how people can bitch about the cast change.. like seriously u do realize Naksu the main lead…
In most if not ALL body swap movies/drama’s the director repeatedly reminds the audience with VISUAL scene cuts and cues, flashbacks etc that this person has swapped bodies and also still sees themself as their original self.
This show, for whatever reason has made the choice to NOT do that, to NOT remind the audience with visual cues and scenes that that Naksu herself thinks of herself in her own mind as her original form. In fact, they showed YOUNG NAKSU more than OLD Naksu so people REALLY don’t have much attachment to OG Naksu’s image. Typically directors would use cut ins during intimate scenes, mirror scenes, etc …. Important scenes like for instance today while she was wearing the wedding dress, her seeing herself in the mirror it would normally be filmed that what she sees/feels is her OG image in the wedding dress. This is a tool to both remind the audience that these are two separate entities and also get them comfortable with a SWAP BACK.
I cannot think of one body swap movie or drama that did not use visual cuts throughout like AOS hasn’t. And it may be a huge mistake on their part because it will be jarring to many viewers who have not had any time to build up an affection/attachment/familiarity with OG Naksu visually over 19 episodes to match THAT FACE with all of her character growth versus 20 episodes of which 99% have been the visual & emotional attachment to Meudoks VISUAL character.
If you don’t understand this and why it’s never done because of exactly the issue people are having now I don’t know what to tell you 🤷🏻♀️ It’s pretty common/standard and bizarre why AOS decided to go this route.
I honestly didn't expect much of him. The only thing I wanted was for him to reveal the truth and take responsibility…
I didn’t either and I don’t think the producers “hyped up” his return to be something epic. I think some fans project things onto the story that aren’t really actually there.
I would have liked maybe a little more but IMO the way Park Jin repeatedly said “Jang Gang needs to return to set everything right” was a pretty clear foreshadowing that Jang Gang needed to come back and basically pay for his mess.
No idea why people thought he was coming back to save the world or do badass powerful stuff 🤷🏻♀️

Not already pregnant. It could easily just be pregnant. That they were young, she got pregnant by him so she agreed to marry him and then later his insecurity makes him think Jang Gang & his wife had an affair and it’s really his baby. Jin Mu makes clear that she’s half Jin/Half Choi.
