The Creators have used a poor gimmick of marketing by tying this to HP series to attract the audience... When the audiences are here and watching and they are asking questions like how the writing seems so different and now people are saying don't compare they are different.... Then please remove all the tags from this page.... Let this be a stand alone show ... This drama will show up as a spin-off version in HP series as well and that's how people are stumbling upon this drama as well..... They are residents and not interns but they are acting worse than interns and people are saying they will grow.... medicine is not some personality that will grow by episode....lol..

In Korea, it is a taboo to become "Double In Laws" which is two set of siblings ex. two sister's from a family marrying the brothers from a different family. In korea, it is not at all common....so it would be awkward if there is one between Do Won and FL....it is not forbidden but it is an unspoken line which people don't prefer to cross unless they are like super in love...

Not sure how you got to know such insider information but this is not the right way to pull in the audience...this is deceiving in the name of original work/parent work....

The FL actress is not new.... Anyway,maybe her other friends are....

I think this is a very cheap gimmick to attract the audience who have loved the hospital playlist series...I mean the ratings were always in double digits so if they advertised this series as some kinda predecessor or some different universe kinda thing of hospital playlist then audience might give it a chance

Thank you for this and I knew someone would come back and pour their knowledge on this.... What I meant was all this hospital playbook/playlist is under one umbrella and a different universe.....so was expecting that kinda writing, a very gripping one, here the characters just fell flat ....

A big big fan of hospital playlist so i had a great expectations for this series as well.... But, my expectations just fell flat.... If a series is calling itself as prequel to such an amazing parent serieses then it is a major disappointment.
Ofcourse, people will come back and say, how can you judge anything by just watching ep 1....well that's the smart way of storytelling. The writer should give something so tempting that audience stick to watch ep 2. In this world of short series of ep 8 or ep 10, people don't have so much time to stick till ep5-6 to check whether a drama is worth their time.

This drama is plain boring, took 2 hours to complete some 45 mins of ep 1.... FL character is boring and rest of the characters too.... The writer tried to give personalities to the 4 main characters like FL -> disinterested , guy resident -> overly enthusiastic , FL highschool friend -> i guess emotional, the last glasses female -> emotionless. Plain, textbook characters with no life in them. The scenes where it was supposed to be funny then a background music was played to show that it was funny or in an emotional scene (sceen between the second year resident and the kpop resistant guy), a background music to show the audience that it is a sad scene (scene between the glasses female resident where she is supposed to get sign for the surgery from an old halmoni and halmoni asks her some stupid question which didn't even make sense and it was supposed to be super touchy emotional scene)....very poorly executed,.....

The FL is supposedly completed her internship at Yuljae and her 1st year of residency at Yuljae before she got moved to some countryside hospital.....In the present time, she has come back to restart her residency from year 1 by RETAKING it...but she is so clueless at operation room or everywhere else...didn't she complete her 1st year of residency already ...i mean, i think it was for comedy purpose or god knows why those scenes were there where she was struggling to throw the surgical thread but FL is apparently a top student everywhere.....lol..lol....I guess, i will not stick to watch her flashback or whatnot......

They just want to see the leads making out so it doesn't matter if they are cheating on their spouses..... Audiences here just want to imagine the scene and feel good. At this point, they should just watch porn straight away rather than supporting a story which is clearly shitty

We as an audience have the clarity of what happened but the man, who is/has blindly loved her, respected her boundaries didn't or doesn't know the reason and running around everywhere to look for her because again, he is in the dark and doesn't know why she left, he is looking for answers..... She can support herself and if the creepy uncle finds her again, she will probably run away again....so ML should stop finding the reason or her when he clearly cannot force her to say anything because he respects her choices so he will be in the dark again.

He was put behind the bars .... because it was an attempted assault and not a successful one so he was let go after a couple of years.....in the drama, they show him near her university in yihe, which never happened in the novel

That's exactly my point...she reported him to the police when she was mere a highschool kid who was afraid, no family by her side..... Now , her running away doesn't make sense. Infact in the drama she has faced more hardships than in the novel.... So by then she has toughened herself

I am assuming that from the below comments in this section are mostly women....approx. 95% I would say so I guess we all here for Wen Yi Fan. According to a research, almost all the women in this world, irrespective of a country, race or religion have gone through some form of assault/ molestation/ harassment/ sexism in their lives. So it is evident that how people are writing paragraphs on PTSD and sexual assault. Even though wen yi fan is a fictional character, we all are fuming whenever that creepy pervert uncle is trying to harass her again. But we are forgetting the main character of wen yi fan here.....
She is an introvert, never had any support from her family so over the period of time she has learnt to protect herself and doesn't rely on anyone because she is not used to. That is why she was hesitant or tried not to rely on San Yan even though that guy just devoted himself to her. It was evident when she stood up for herself Infront of her supervisors when rumors started spreading at her work place that she can fight for herself. She called on the cops when the creepy uncle tried to force himself on her in the past despite being just a highschool girl back then... Despite being afraid ( who wouldn't be in that situation), despite everyone tried to persuading her saying it's just family bla bla, she still called the cops... especially that aunt who tried to blame her for seducing the uncle, yet she called on the cops, She never ran away. When she went to yihe university, she didn't run away because everyone knew where she was, she just wanted to be far away from her mom. When she came back to nanwu, everyone knew. So her running away now doesn't makes sense ( I know people will attack me saying things on survivors).... She is a journalist by profession who would have seen all sorts of scenes from natural disasters to murder scenes to political set up etc... so, the uncle is no new devil for her so she never ran away in the novel, she stood tall Infront of him...Infact he is an old pervert over the years and she is a strong woman who has grown over the years hearing all sorts of things....her life experiences has made her stronger....He tried to harm her once but her colleagues intervened and she goes to the police again. That kind of a person wen yi fan was in the novel. The drama wen yi fan, the writer has just made her fickle in the name of trauma which is not her........ Just a disappointed reader rambling......

Worst part is the fans....they will defend anything and everything over there and tell to suck it up because it is a fictional world. They defend as if their lives are dependent on it or they are getting paid for it.....which is why, screen writers never bother to improve because fans themselves makeup their own stories and justify.

You missed out how CX escapes from the cops and now is trying to hunt down Yi Fan. Before he could reach her, San Yan catches him and hands him over to the police....and he gets hurt by a knife while confronting CX....
