Seeing, how she went back to her work after the treatment which shows that she was on a medical leave ....so according to cali laws, she can claim compensation from the government

I wonder how Soek Ryu never thought of working with her dad or revamping the restaurant . It also amazes me as to how she never asked about their financial situation. She was a product manager for 13+ years so it shouldn't be that difficult to identify the risk and do market analysis around the area. The restaurant and everything is ready, she just have to give it a face lift

I brought this point over and again but crazy fanatics just shot me down.... I am someone of Soek Ryu 's age and is working in America. Let's assume Greip as Google.... because the level they gave to Greip sounded like that.... Google's pay is unimaginable and it is not easy to get into Google. She had worked there for some 13+ years.... Google is a company who pays the children 's education fee of employees if they die while working there ( you can Google this fact ...lol).... So insurance covers most of it. Also, while she was getting treated for a year then she would have gotten 70% of the salary. California govt also pays..... So she would have earned a lot while she was in America, so this thing always bothered me as to why she financially didn't help her parents despite seeing how her mom was folding to-go boxes while having pain relief patch on her hand.... Not once she offered help. Her parents are taking care of 2 unemployment children despite their restaurant not doing well..... I couldn't understand this from get go.....

I was so excited when this drama was announced and about the cast..... I always found mesmerizing and exotic when love booms beyond a country's border..... But this drama is weird.... Couldn't establish the chemistry though the leads are super established and famous.... I felt their feelings were forced and dialogues were weird and didn't make much sense........

Funny thing was how her busy broom hair becomes super straight in Korea.....lol..... Is that stereotyping......ahem ahem....

Ofcourse he would...talk about perks of being a FL..... Also, he didn't reach this stage in 1-2 years....he has worked hard.... Despite so many years into this , and he is still passionate.... imagine, how he would have been in the beginning of his career..... ofcourse, she bought a French cooking book, but don't forget she just slept off in the middle....they showed it in a romantic way but that is not the point here

I think you didn't read my comment properly...I said, they have thrown her cooking class or cooking stuff randomly here and there....no much improvement after that..... Have you seen the ML, he keeps going to some competitions or whenever he talks about some projects, you can feel his passion... unlike FL, which is still not convincing.

Should she be working even harder to prove them wrong or show her passion. It didn't make much sense when she was cooking some French dish when she is going for Korean basic cooking classes.

That's what her parents have been saying that it's not that easy in this profession.....she got their approval because of her past cancer battle or else they would have never agreed because they know how difficult this profession is and how her father has struggled to meet the ends. Isn't it why she worked hard in the past

I like such dramas where all the characters are good.....no particular character is there to tick you off.... But still I have a complaint about FL's passion for cooking....I mean, her cooking scenes are again randomly thrown here and there. She doesn't look that passionate. I mean, she is going to make this as her profession but she doesn't look that serious...it's been a while, her parents have accepted her new thing but not once she has cooked a meal for her family...she is going for traditional Korean cooking class but never made anything for her parents..... I mean, ofcourse she is taking it slow, health is important etc etc but money is also important. Anything can happen tomorrow....her parents might fall sick, she can or brother can. Now, there is no fixed income in the family so her passion isn't coming across as something serious

I totally agree with you. Rape itself cannot justified that too on a child .... I do not want to imagine.....those culprits are not human....they are animals... actually animals are also innocent....these worms should be squished.....

How can a pedo be reformed? So many innocents get affected and so many officer's life are put in danger just by setting one scumbag out in the free....It surprises me every time to see how South Korean Judiciary is kinda joke. These heinous crimes including murders get only 20 years of prison. People with power won't even get punished. South Koreans should come as a society together and raise this questions to reform their justice system.

You have to say it out explicitly or else the opposite person will not know.... Like, I love you, I miss you, I am hurt, be with me, I am alone etc..... we all are busy in our own lives and ofcourse nobody reads between the lines.....so the opposite person will now feel guilty for the rest of his/ her lives for missing out on the signals. Ofcourse, here Soek Ryu turned out to be fine. We know how life threatening cancer can be....she could have died. If something like that had happened then ML and her parents would have only blamed themselves for the rest of their lives......

So, we should ask for help if we need. Not make out scenarios in our heads..if we don't then nobody will know

Not supporting the brother here but who isn't selfish in this world or in the drama world ....lol.... If Soek Ryu was not sick then her mom and dad would have still pushed her for getting a job till the end refusing to understand...... I hate this troupe where everything disappears when ML/FL has some terminal disease.....her mom will magically support her now being a cook/chef.....

According to me an evil guy is someone who deliberately/ purposely does something bad to others.... Like, park sung hoon's characters in both the glory and queen of tears..... Rest all I can take it because it's correctable. Even the brother will become responsible at the end of the drama....while those evil guys in the drama mentioned just died because they justified their evilness

I agree with you about being a lazy bum.....I was just describing his character/ nature.....a good natured lazy bum who is unemployed

I am surprised and kinda liking how all the men in this drama are GREEN flags......damn...... ML, the ex fiance, ML's dad, 2ML ( journalist), FL's dad, ML's company 's co- CEO, ML's company 's intern/ employee, even FL's brother 's gym trainer/coach except for the brother ( but he is more naive than evil so we can say he is a good guy too)...... Aishhhhh, I am angry that I am not getting to curse any guy here , lol and don't want to curse a woman because it hurts my pride to curse at a fellow woman ....lol .....

Ofcourse I understand, but don't you think the writers usually aim for a certain audience group. Who knows, like me there could be other people out there who could be relating to the set up of Soek Ryu.... What I am trying to say here is most of the same age group women/men think almost same....it comes with the age....we cannot help it. I cannot understand what a 40 year old woman is thinking. I know circumstances are different but that thinking will be more or less same. That is why I have problem with how women are portrayed in this drama. It is shown as if only women of different age groups are annoying or fickle or cheating.....

My my my..... Like when I said, I have same events happened like Soek Ryu..... I have an younger sibling who is an overachiever so in every point in life I had to prove myself though I am drawing more salary than her. I am an Asian too, older child, female, 34 years old, international student, working in the US, learned cooking when I came to the US now I am a better cook than my mom ...office politics , had to move companies, teams as well .... This is what made me stick to this drama till now ... So, I don't want to debate with someone who doesn't understand how stuff works.... anyway, all the best for your future....lol....you are funny
