I read, Dilraba's team has been sent the FL role of Feng Lai Qi to consider. It seems interesting and different.…
I have watched Flame's Daughter twice but have yet to complete The King's Woman. I've hunted down all of of D's other dramas nd seen them all because I'm only her fan since a couple of years. My son likes SSS a lot and loves the slow pace and old school vibe the most, ignoring the weaker elements. I have faith in Dil and her team but yes, time is of the essence and she may miss good opportunities. I have my theories about why she's not chosen a new project and looking out for the clues to confirm them.
Excellent his analysis of the novel especially of the characters. I look forward to the drama with a lot of enthusiasm…
You provide some lovely thoughts on the novel which I enjoyed reading very much. ( But I rather like your long posts anyway) My first time watching Allen too; I hope he grows on me so I can watch his other works. And I really hope the drama airs sooner rather than later.

I am enjoying JOL but came to a disconcerting moment at the end of CH14 and switched to ELOD for some relief. I was a bit upset at the death of Zi Jing and it broke my concentration. I am sure it will get better as soon as I start watching again. It is a time travel story with a difference and Fan Xian is a very interesting character, he had me laughing often with his modern day references. His 'Lady Chicken Leg' obsession is classic! I've got my eye on the deceptively dishevelled looking Qing Emperor and wonder what he is really up to! Plus, there are a host of other interesting characters. My son has finished the drama and started SSS on my recommendation.
ELOD is a firm favourite of mine and I watch it every couple of months or so, albeit with one finger on fast forward. It really is a beautifully made drama with gorgeous MC's and is up there with TLB. With TBW and LOA I'll have two more of Reba's dramas to watch whenever I need a pick-me up! I prefer ELOD to TMOPB which I have yet to finish, and can't for some reason.
I feel a tad anxious about Dil not picking her next project but it seems she is really being careful; Ball Lightening didn't get anywhere due to alleged controversial contract issues for all of the rumoured stars. Hopefully, whatever D picks is going to be impressive; as you say, she is in high demand at the moment. I really want her to collaborate with XZ for her next project! Their pairing could make cinematic history! Here's wishing you a very happy and exciting new year!
This drama doesn't seem to be getting started! I was hoping Deng Lun was for definite at least.
I looked the words up and assumed that once these issues were resolved the drama could be salvaged without paying much attention to it. I said something wrong in my ignorance it seems! But you have clarified it now. I can see that none of the actors would want to agree to such a controversial clause.

Yeah, I got a bit of info over on that MDL page but not much. The FL sounds quite a gal from the few intriguing hints about her; I think she has a relationship with the two guys in succession and it may not be a love triangle. Might chase up the novel in English if it is available. I definitely want D to be selective about her next projects , she has to embark on the next level of her career. The only way is up! If Dilraba has just one drama in 2023, it will be a boring year!!! BTW she is so busy with endorsements and stand-up comedy and what have you that I wonder if she gets any rest at all? Just watching JOL, interspersed with ELOD or is it the other way round LOL!

So disappointed! I read the book and was looking forward to watching the drama and film with so much excitement because of the rumoured cast. Curious to know why they all rejected it.

FL is involved with two men! So two ML's I think. It's another historical but if she accepts it, at least she'll have a drama ready for airing in 2023.
For me, never once was I frustrated with Changge's character honestly. All her decisions and impulsive moves made…
Good point! So, she is never capricious nor immature in her decision making throughout her journey but is well above many mature adults in her thoughts and actions. It rankles with me too when someone is critical of her actions without understanding her. As you say she has to have the experience with Khatun to understand who she can trust or can't in a dangerous world.
