Title Dream to You
I haven't watched it but the first tag is ai generated content, that immediately puts me off and gives everyone…
there's like a 5 second ai generated content in the first ep. and that's it. nothing else noticeable. it's more slice of life, small town cinematography

This ending was satisfactory for me. If you understand the characters and where they are coming from, all their decisions will make perfect sense. See the characters for what they are written as, not as a reflection of yourself or your morals or ideals, and see the story for what it is, instead of how you would have written or changed these characters. The writer has enriched their past stories enough, starting with them being high school best friends, dreaming the same dream, who finally gets together after 15 years, but at the same time, they very realistically portray the aftermath of that reunion. It's not all silk and roses; there is no smooth sailing on this ship. However, if you want something more realistic, including the pain and heartbreak that comes with it, the confusions and insecurities, dedication and forgiveness, but also the (almost un-) realistic deep love that endures for a lifetimeโ€”this could be your cup of tea.

Much like the characters tho, the drama itself isn't perfect. But i like when dramas stir conversations and debates about the character decisions, and this one certainly did lol. It was hence entertaining, albeit frustrating at times, all the way through.

They didnโ€™tโ€™ breakup due to lack of love. Both knew that she wanted her space to grow without his help (even…
didn't he say he tried contacting her? but I think the lack of contact make sense here. she was very firm in wanting to gain her independence away from him, and for him to stop worrying about her all the time. he just respected her wish and decision. i know viewers read them differently, but I can't see their relationship and dynamic to be anything but healthy! they know each other the most, and despite their human flaws their love for eachother is very strong.

I can see I'm the odd one out because I ended up really liking this despite some the weaker parts. Loved the full…
same! ig there are only a few of us on this side of the opinion haha. but i reckon dramas like these are often that divisive. I had a real fun time these 12 eps. Had plenty to ponder and discuss too! Agree with you on Soobin discovering a dream beyond Yijae, I feel like that was a plot that was setup too by the writer but probably limited by the 12 eps again!

Title Dream to You
I do like the fact that Dream To You pretty much emphasized the fact that itโ€™s not romantic to love a person…
this exactly! i think although not without its drawbacks due to the 12 episode limitation, that message was well condensed. We can see after the timeskip that Yijae is more confident and their relationship better because they are on equal footing, atleast in her pov. For WSB he always thought them to be equal. The 2 years probably help broke his romanticism of protecting her dream while giving up everything from his side.

๐Ÿ™„ not this bullshit again please. The ML of this drama literally abandoned her, stole her dream, she got into…
Her job as a reporter was in front of the camera. I don't know if they ever mentioned what she majored in during college, but I remember during the ex's episode, she mentioned working on pet projects and filming while in college. Regardless, she always wanted to go to film school; that was part of her dream too, not just making a film with the ML. That dream was never fulfilled, and she blamed him for it for a long time. But honestly, this shouldn't be that big of a deal if you think about it. She can just get her master's degree and come back.Only thing that makes it just a bit more complicated here i think is because their careers and relationship are interconnected.

yeah that makes sense to me. at this point, and with the kinda love they share, there's no way they would deliberately hurt each other. it's understandable that she would be frustrated because he was being very very unreasonable there. But even with the history repeating, wasnt this present one her own making? I mean i get the point of their separation, sounds healthy to me. But she was happy enough dating him, working on the movie with him, saved his role in the movie, in some ways I can't help but read it as sudden detachment. (realising her career path is perfectly reasonable and understandable to me). i keep going back and forth on her decision to choose one or the other.

haha i hope today's ep clarifies it because from my reading of subin's character, he's definitely not the type to hold her back. more than half the drama was about him giving her dream back or easing things for her to achieve her childhood dream.

Wish viewers could be like us lol. seeing the characters and the story for what it is, analysing and discussing is fun but most are just super volatile and hardcore with their reactions here!

๐Ÿ™„ not this bullshit again please. The ML of this drama literally abandoned her, stole her dream, she got into…
oh yes then we are on the same page haha! The FL realises earlier in the drama that her regret is her own, nobody else was to blame for the mishap in her life, although it's easier to do the blame game.

I think what bugs me is that we have seemingly moved past all these issues, and at ep 11 she wants to bring back the past incident, when her current renewed dream and purpose that she's found again are more than enough reasons for the separation. Neither of them are wrong in their position, that's just how realistic relationships work. Reclaiming the choice to stay on the bus will only help her move on from any past resentment, for a healthier relationship in the future.

But then we have some MDL viewers with the worst takes lol. They wanna go back to square one with no understanding of the characters? I feel like people are deliberately missing the point. Or thinking from the pov of only one of the characters i suppose.

oh is your comment in reply to mine? cuz i don't see how these two are related haha? The accident isn't the ML's fault at all. I agree with your points tho, although i would say the breakup was playing on her mind even before their discussion.

Aye, it's almost clinical. They're so invested in the celebrity, they forget it's fictional characters, story.๐Ÿ˜‚
what even is happening in the comments lol ๐Ÿ’€ feels like a repeat of the earlier episodes. Either people's story comprehension and character understanding are poor, or they are taking things too personally.

The ML didn't steal her dream, nor was he responsible for her accident. Neither was she abandoned. The accident was just an accident, nobody's fault. Did y'all not watch 10 eps of this drama? She also moved on from him, went to college and dated other people. So did he.
The characters aren't going apart because of the past, but because they want different things from their careers at present.
