https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6XdL8MOqaAxTxquvxfboSy Finally, every last song from The First Jasmine has been released on Spotify. The end of an era I guess They released the last two songs so late istg its been ages since the drama stopped airing
Although I may still be hung on Love in the Clouds, but I am trying to clear that and focus on this, as well as rating it fairly without bias...bc I honestly think this has immense potential (personally I think I have ok control over my emotions and bias so it should be all good; i dont want to end up not enjoying this as much as i should be)
I just know the Xiao Wuyi era is going to be fire Hou Minghao just has that charisma that some other people are missing - and it just makes you want to look at him. Plus man is so good at creating chemistry...and I am excited as well about the OST bc since the lineup release I've been itching to hear the full songs...Huang Xiaoyun, Jing Long, Hou Minghao and HMH x Zhang Bichen duet!!!! I love her voice sm...
Aghghghdhdf the official date is out AHH so much good stuff has been coming out June/July, why didn't they evenly distribute it bc I was actually parched in like April/May Hou Minghao my man is backkk!! Say what you like about Ai Mi's casting choice but there's no doubt her acting skill is undeniable. So AHH I'm sooo exciteeeddd and the OST lineup sounds so good and the trailer visuals look satisfying so I hope the plot delivers
Two people recognize Chen Yi's true nature, but they choose to use it in completely different ways. Zhou Kang…
That's exactly what I thought about the cop and fiancee story...I saw in like the outro or sth the cop looking miserable and sad at his desk, paired with the fact that she was like 'how bad can it be' when he warned her in the car...I don't want it to happen...and they're about to get married asw these dramas like pushing side characters into sudden death sometimes...but I think it actually might happen ππ
And like that the OST journey of Love for You is declared over: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3SR8VaSgLrlgKneptkQJMr A complete collection, including familiar names like Zhang Bichen and Huangzi Hongfan, and two that I haven't seen before like Lao Fan Next Door. Also includes the SWL and ZJY duet that came back, as well as an individual song each from both of them. This is the first time I've heard either of them sing an OST for their dramas but they sound really good so I hope in the future they can keep singing for their dramas...hits different when it's a good song and it's an actor in the drama that sings it (cough cough θ₯δ½ ηδΈη沑ζζι³ by Hou Minghao for LitC hehe)
fAh why did I have to have scrolled to an edit of them on instagram while it's not out yet...I could've happily went on without knowing and finding out later after it finished airing ππ no now I have to live with that itchy feeling
Zhang Jingyi looks really good with a fringe actually, she should try that look more hehe She also looks really good in that school uniform? Idk if it's the colouring or the lines, it just really suits her
This drama is honestly not my cup of tea. While watching it I felt urges to drop, 2x speed it and kept itching to press the skip 10 seconds button. But that was it's only problem for me. It might sound big, but everything else was perfect. The costumes. The characters. The freaking OST. The visuals. The cinematography (Guo Jingming never fails this aspect). It's a pity I can't relate to this drama as emotionally as some others can as I simply could not enjoy the process of watching it, but everything else I got from it was worth it. I don't regret trying to watch this at all so if you're deciding to or not, go for it. Because even if you're like me and you can't stand the plot itself, there will be other things you appreciate about this drama that you would be missing out on otherwise. I love Zhao Yuanzhou. Yet I'm not even completely clear about his backstory. This is the gift of a perfectly crafted persona and an excellent casting choice. I think this drama is a rare prime example of a drama that I disliked watching, but still kept in my heart for some reason. If you found it unentertaining while watching like I did, give it some time after completion. Listen to the absolutely soulful OST. And maybe one day you will feel the characters starting growing on you, then you might realize this is art you can admire from a completely contrasting angle compared to how you usually judge a drama and still end up satisfied. I will probably never rewatch this ever, but it is still appreciated greatly on my side of this story. (lowkey don't know what influenced me to write this now bc I watched it a while back but oh well. informing newcomers here)
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2MeFzZYAT4538G4mJzDoUS OST playlist, will keep updating throughout the airing. Zhou Shen's ηΊ’ε°ζ ζ dropped on Spotify. All other songs are filler songs until there is another OST uploaded.
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3SR8VaSgLrlgKneptkQJMr Ok everyone good news this is the almost full playlist of OSTs (not sure if more songs will be uploaded), the Song Weilong x Zhang Jingyi duet is back online !!! there were a few complications that made me have to remove it then re add it bc it wasn't showing up but thank the gods bc I thought it was going to be gone forever π But yeah OST updates guys.... maybe I should word it as the 'as full as it can be at this present moment' OST playlist
I want to climb into the screen and slap Fu Xinshu's mom so hard that her head disconnects from her neck. Imagine being so twisted that you lied to your child telling him you needed surgery to extort money out of him, mind you this is a child (!!!), used his genuine worry for you against him, gave him false hope knowing you would let him down horribly, just to BUY YOUR NEW SON, A LITTLE BOY AROUND LIKE IDK FCKING SIX YEARS OLD A NEW VIOLIN WHICH HE PROBABLY CAN'T EVEN PLAY PROPERLY, appear in front of him perfectly fine without an ounce of shame, blaming her absence on her new husband (which may or may not be a lie but FOR HER OWN BENEFITS), brushing him off while he tells you he just gave you the last funds he had that his dead grandpa had passed onto him, then telling him never to come find you again and going off to have fun with your new family. This woman can go jump into a vat of boiling acid while being churned into bits by a propeller and I would say she deserves it.
Ok I understand the rating drop frustration but this is most definitely categorized as an idol drama and romance…
Basically a drama that prioritizes looks and visuals, starring traffic actors for example Bai Lu, Zhang Linghe, Zhao Lusi, Wang Hedi...(traffic actors are young actors who have massive online popularity and a dedicated fanbase along with high commercial value instead of actual acting achievements). The cast is decided by pre-exsisting popularity, idol power and physical attractiveness rather than the aforementioned acting achievements. The plots centre around romance instead of more complex backstories, prioritize aesthetics and sometimes will sacrifice logic for effect on the audience.
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3SR8VaSgLrlgKneptkQJMr Right the OST situation rn is being a bit weird, the OSTs by Yaochen and Lao Fan Next Door are released but the Song Weilong x Zhang Jingyi duet has mysteriously disappeared off the face of the earth after it appeared yesterday...it might have been deleted but might be added back possibly? Will try and find it if it comes out
Im fryed with the new billing rules of stroke counter...while Ding Yuxi is rejoicing poor Wei Zheming...if I counted correctly that would be seventeen? Man is never getting there ππ
Yayayayayayy hope it comes soonnnn Idk why but I've becombe more attatched to Wei Zheming these days...there's something about his charisma especially in hi6
