Well just watched the ending and it's almost like the original but I guess a bit better. Still not satisfied with the ending though. Wish they had one more episode. Oh well.

I hope the ending doesn't follow the original that it's based on. That ending is just so sad.

Lol it’s so funny when QT’s gun backfired and he asked JBN why and then she proceeded to tell him all those philosophical bullshit. This must be going on in his mind that time: “Bitch I’m asking you why my gun backfired. What bullshit are you talking about?”

So what did you think of the reason being used to blame LQ on Empress Dowager’s death?

Can't just punish willy nilly. The imperial family don't command majority of the soldiers in the country. In case you forgot LQ's family is in command of their own army and the imperial family require the support of these families to stay in power. Abuse of power by the imperial family will cause them to lose support from these military families which will then threaten their rule. Heavy punishment just because they hurt her feelings make make all other military families wary of supporting the current imperial family since their life's are threatened for trivial reasons. You dont want to support a rule that is fickle minded and will order execution for trivial reasons such as accidentally spilling water on him after all.

It's a guideline but it's not episode limit. CCP not so recently enforced strict rules for all dramas where certain things need to be realistic. Like time travel or going back in time needs to have some plausible explanation. The going back in time in this drama does not have that. It just happens that's why it had to be cut. The guideline is applicable for all dramas even if that drama has completed filming before the new guidelines is enforced that's why many dramas were delayed to comply to the new guidelines.

Nah not really. I've given up on this drama a long time ago and now is actually having fun mocking it lol.

Lol in my mind I actually imagined in the war LQ somehow was presumed to be killed again but this time he also lost his memory and was found by some village folk and once JBN found him he would've already had a new love interest so JBN just leave sad. Then I realized that will require at least 2 to 3 more episodes and so will never happen so it's again my own fanfiction lol.

I would be happy if they spend the second half of the last episode where LQ is willing to write her the divorce letter to set her free and she use half an episode to pursue LQ and get him to know their child is still there so they can reconcile. But I don't see how that will possibly happen so I guess it will just stay as my own fanfiction lol.

Actually it's covid-19 but during that era no tools to identify it that's why they said it's high blood pressure and heart attack.

Luckily he did not sneeze in her direction in that scene. Maybe they'll say his sneeze caused her to have a deadly disease then a heart attack in succession if that happened.

Yup I knew it. Just because he saw the Empress Dowager before she died, it's LQ's fault that she died. Can't get any flimsier than that. Good job.

Plausible predictions but you forgot one thing in your defense. Why did she attack LQ? Long time never meet so let me attack you for fun once we meet? Also from episode 39 trailer it’s obvious that the emperor went to search for LQ after they found evidence that indicates he did not do anything but he’s already exiled by then. Most people obviously believed LQ was the culprit before that scene.

Flimsier reasons have been used before in other dramas. I’m betting the excuse used to frame LQ in the next few episodes will be even flimsier but everyone will believe it without a shadow of a doubt anyway especially JBN.

First time I am seeing a drama where the angst comes first before the love lol. Interesting haha.

Because the LQ is getting treated by everyone especially JBN is just too unfair. JBN basically abandoned him after the misunderstanding. The situation is made worst by the 5 year time gap. He just meant nothing to her to be able to be abandoned like that after so many years of love.

To be honest now at this point I want LQ to die and for JBN to be sad forever due to her stupidity. I'm surprised how I've turned against the FL compared to the earlier episodes lol.
