I don't understand the schedule. Sometimes it's one episode a day then like today it's two episodes. What is the actual schedule?

The ML is really a good person. “Knowing” that the FL likes the SML he even did his best to not ruin her chances to be together with him by taking on the blame for her. Not an easy thing to do considering he likes her too.

Angst is still going on as of episode 38 according to the trailers. She found out she's pregnant at episode 38 though. I guess will have to wait 39 or 40 before they get back together. I guess my decision to skip until the end is correct.

Not really. Her tone is a tone which is usually used by people when they are speaking something sarcastically. Because of her tone and I know that she was being sarsactic, it made me laugh when she said the ML have so many sisters after he said Shuang is her sister when they met .

From the scenes in the ending song seems there's no misunderstanding but you never know. This is a war movie after all. Normal for one lead character to betray another lead character to save their life from a hopeless situation.

Would be funny it he still thinks that she's drunk and thus recognized the wrong person again but he's a smart person and not so dense. Not to mention this is not a romcom so the characters are not so dumb lol.

Episode 17 will be the second kiss scene. Ahhhh can't wait for that episode!!

Since there's so much emphasis on the trust between the leads, I am waiting for the inevitable betrayal of the ML by FL for whatever reason. I am saying FL will betray ML instead the other way around because right now it seems FL is trying to win the ML's trust.

Doesn't seem like 35 and 36 resolved the angst and it looks like EVERYONE is attacking LQ now. Welp I guess I will skip until all episodes are out then.

I will probably take a look at episode 34 hoping that angst will be resolved then. In the novel I think their relationship was quite strong so I hope it will be strong here too in the last 5 episodes. But from the looks of it many things have been changed from the novel. Now I am actually more interested in the progress of the maid with the guard and the businesswomen and LQ's friend lol. A bit sick of LQ and JBN now since nothing is really happening with them.

Same here. I really can't stand angst in dramas. Will wait until it's over to binge watch the whole thing.

Just saw trailer for episode 33 and 34. Here comes the inevitable JJY drama angst. Hope it doesn't drag on too long.

Damn episode 28 is more brutal than I anticipated

JJY dramas will never have a lot of kissing scenes. Even kisses will be light pecks only. Even now in the drama most of their cheek kisses is positioned that we can’t see the actual kissing since most is just pretending to kiss but not actually kissing.

The LQ mother plot just seems so unnecessary. Barely mentioned anyway and don’t really affect the story in anyway. Just a plot device to introduce angst.

Angst or not they will definitely separate for a while. LQ is a soldier and there’s still a war to be fought and JBN have a country and imperial politics to handle. Probably 30 onwards they will only have a few scenes together per episode. Both of them will be busy with their own things for a while. Maybe 35 onwards they will be together again since they still need to plot about LQ’s ascension to become emperor. Unless of course they changed that too since so far in the drama LQ isn’t portrayed to be so ambitious but war and people’s suffering might change his views.

I still hope it’s a misunderstanding and it was someone else and not GMR that set it up but at this point I don’t see anyone else doing it except her unless they introduce more new characters in the next few episodes. They changed a lot of the plot from the novel already based on what I read. Like in the novel they only consummate after JBN become regent so I guess the angst is definitely coming. Don’t forget that pendant from the music video. I just hope they don’t change the happy ending in the novel to a sad ending in the drama. JJY said it before in a interview it seems she likes dramas with bad endings or sad endings so they might just change it to satisfy her. I hope not though.
