Lol even the bedroom scene made no sense. SY slept with her then left her there naked. When she woke up in the morning she’ll think one of these two things happened:
1) She thinks she slept with someone else thinking he’s SY because she’s drunk out of her mind or
2) She remembers that SY slept with her while he already have a gf. Remember she still thought that SY already have a gf at that time.

Both will make her not consider his proposal at all for different reasons. I’m convinced that bedroom scene is added in later after the ending scene have been filmed.

Yup. They should've focused on resolving misunderstandings in the last 3 or 2 episodes and rekindling the love between SY and XXJ and not create more misunderstandings while just forgetting about the previous misunderstandings. I believe it would be more satisfying if in 34-36 it was SY coming back from abroad, both of them rekindle their friendship and clear out the misunderstanding that caused SY to go overseas, XXJ does something to show she really loves SY and finally the proposal.

To be honest they could've ended everything on episode 33 and leave the remaining to clear all misunderstandings and to improve their love with each other but they totally wasted it. Not to mention XXJ never found out why SY went overseas after promising her that he will not go for her. The writers just forgot about it in the last 2 episodes. To be honest the things that happened in 35 and 36 are usually the midway or 3/4 point of other romcom dramas.

Just done watching the final episodes. While it's a happy ending, I just feel it's not a very satisfying ending. Misunderstanding that doesn't get resolved until the final moment and XXJ didn't really do anything major that show that she loves SY except kissing and sleeping with him WHILE she was drunk out of her mind. That could've been with anyone since she saw him in her drunken dream state. It should've been something she does when she's sober and really directed at him. Oh well I guess in the end the writers did give a happy ending so I guess a lot of people will be satisfied.

If direct translate then the words won’t make sense anymore in English. Basically she said something in lines of you already have a gf and yet you are here flirting with me. Then she said I don’t like a person like that.

Lol it's great to be able to understand mandarin. Don't have to wait for the subs to be released. Imagine if you can't understand mandarin, you'll have to wait until the end of September to watch the ending and be able to understand everything. That would kill me lol.

In the trailer there was a voiceover from SY and he said he's planning to propose to his gf. I guess XXJ overhead him and misunderstood that he has a gf but still push pulling with her so she got angry because she though he's just playing with her.

See they really use the he found a gf abroad inspired storyline . But here XXJ's reaction is on the extreme side compared to her reaction in the novels where it's mellow. Can't wait to watch it haha.

That’s why I say they might have took inspiration from it. I did not say they adapted it 1 to 1 like in the novel.

In the novel XXJ was a bit unhappy when she asked about his implied gf so I guess they might have took inspiration from that and adapted that idea in the drama.

It’s a common trope used by writers in China. Now that they can’t refer the novel anymore the writers just reverted back to the templates that they are most familiar with. Don’t think too much into it.

No marriage but it is implied he found a gf when he was abroad in the novel. I dunno why everyone said he got married to someone else in the novel when I read it a few times and there is no mention of marriage at all. Hearsay at its best I guess.

Dunno but they definitely meet again in 35 because when they kiss she was wearing the same clothes in the 35 preview. Maybe she got drunk because she was unhappy after meeting him again because they were awkward with each other or he implied that he found a gf when he was abroad like in the novel.

I know. The kiss is in the advertisements for the drama. So weird to have different scenes in the advertisements and in the actual preview. Even the proposal was shown in the advertisements instead of the actual previews. Baffles me.

Yes but that gesture is too small for me not to mention in private. I’m expecting something grander lol. Something in public in front of everyone. I am spoiled by other romance dramas lol. Maybe a heartwarming speech or something haha even though it’s unlikely since SY will give a heartwarming speech during the proposal. Well I hope the writers manages to do something. Sky is the limit now since they’re not bound by the novel anymore.

Yes that conversation is definitely the cause of him not moving on but I guess he decides to “punish” her with some push pull of his own. I just hope she does something heartwarming to prove she really loves SY before the proposal instead of SY being a doormat after he’s done “punishing” her. It’s a drama after all so there should be a redeeming act for XXJ else it doesn’t look good for SY lol.

Judging from the trailers and the scenes in the advertisements, these are the contents of the last few episodes:
33- SY goes abroad. XXJ confirms that she likes him but it’s too late because he’s gone
34- Life without SY in her life
35- They meet again and maybe start of push pull relationship this time by SY
36- More push pull ending with proposal

I just hope before the proposal XXJ does something that shows she really loves SY instead of SY just being a doormat again. Happy ending is confirmed now because the whole last chapter has been changed for the drama.

I have a feeling you're setting yourself up for major heartbreak with your stubborn hope for a happy ending just like XXJ trying desperately to cling onto CL even if there is no hope lol

Nothing suggest she move on and as of now things are moving exactly like in the novel. If no changes are made then she will only move on in the last episode. If they change the ending during the last episode I would seriously say I would prefer the sad ending. ML being the second choice leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

If you follow the novel, after the steamboat scene SY will be going abroad and it's at the airport where he decided to move on from XXJ. Probably motivated from the steamboat scene. If they want to make it a happy ending then this is where the changes must be made. If not then there's only three possibilities for the wedding scene. One is XXJ's imagination of them being together after she has decided to give a chance to SY, two it's XXJ's imagination of them being together but she knows it's not possible anymore in real life or three it's an alternate ending since there's not much left in the novel after the steamboat scene and 4 episodes may be too many episode to put in so little scenes.
