Can't believe there's just 11 episodes left for Part 1.I'm already dreading the ending of the drama, just thinking…
This is going to be one of my favorite epic series of all time that I will rewatch over and over (provided it ends well).
It's going to go right up there with my three favorites of all time: Empresses in the Palace, Ruyi's Royal Love and Story of Yanxi Palace (I'm a weirdo who is really into palace dramas even though they're not romantic and I'm a hopeless romantic).
It's a little bittersweet though to have these two leads together in this drama. On one hand they are incredible and we have this series with these characters to enjoy forever.
On the other I feel like we've "used up" our shot at these two in a series together so that's it. When the series end, it ends.
I agree Yang Zi is very good in here. She owns YD. I really can't think of another actress who can portrays YD…
I love it when Beautiful Bai says "I know I'm charming" 🤣🤣🤣
Yang Zi is so charming when she delivers that line! She manages to say it without sounding conceited, like it's just this matter of fact observation that Beautiful Bai has made about herself and everytime someone falls for her, she's logically thinking "oh it must be because I'm charming"
I'm loving the pettier, more extra TZ as well even though I adore the ever stoic YY.
BTS of the accidental kiss and Yan Dan drawing Tang Zhou 😍https://twitter.com/yangzi_1106/status/1556839041999335424?s=20&t=iFgAR5Ew3MyEDjfDruvJkAAnother…
Omg I didn't realize Yang Zi actually drew that pic. I thought it was a prop done by someone else.
It will be interesting to see who falls for whom first.
In the Heavenly realm arc I always thought YD (although much younger than YY) was incredibly self aware and attuned to her feelings. YY in all his wisdom was a lot more naive about love.
In this mortal arc it feels like TZ's feelings are being awoken first and he's acting on them. YD in contrast seems to be very sure of herself and content with her lot in life. She values friendship and seems to be motivated by altruism rather than any romanticism. I am fascinated to see how she will react when she is confronted by romance.
I love that they wrote it so that she voluntarily comes back to him. They still have that nonsense with the bracelet which I'm sure he only keeps around as something for them to bicker about. I feel comfortable knowing she's hanging around with him out of her own free will even if she's always lamenting about being captured by him.
It's like "Let's pretend I'm your captive and I'll keep cussing you about it" 🤣
Shows that I have a vague interest in but am not crazy about. Great for when I'm on the treadmill! I try to do 5km a day so it's pretty long and tedious (my walking speed is 4km/hr)
IS is too much of an addiction now for me to waste while I'm thumping around on the treadmill.
This was supposed to be my treadmill show but I laughed at YD and YY's early fights so much I stopped watching it on the treadmill and only at night with a cup of tea and full concentration.

I think 50000 of those are me😝
I play it in a loop while I'm rowing (on a rowing machine).

There's so much fluff and fun, I'm enjoying the journey and not too caught up in the destination.

That part I've only watched once because it was so painful.
Second rewatch I got up to his meltdown (looking for his belt in the fire) and then I ran back to 2-6 because them bickering is my happy place 😬
Like what was he trying? I had the most stupid grin on my face watching that feeding scene. He's adorable, awkwardly trying something new with her 🥰
It's like "Let's pretend I'm your captive and I'll keep cussing you about it" 🤣
Would love to know which scene you're referring to!
I almost died laughing at the scene where YD sneers and says: Marry you? You won’t even crack walnuts for me!
I felt the scorn!😂
YD: That was manly of you
TZ: gives his best “Hell Yeah I’m your man baby” look
They have the best comic timing!
I started laughing so much at their fights I almost fell off so I stopped having it on while I was on the treadmill.

I need a new treadmill show!

I need a new treadmill show!!!
If only he'd said something!!! He wouldn't admit it and spent 900 years having a meltdown anyway!!!
He better freaking learn from this!!!!!!
I understand it and it makes sense in the context of their personalities at the time things went to sh$t but they better learn from this!!!
