Nan Rui is such a lovely soul and very sensible and practical despite the waffly, airy fairy demeanour. I adore him. He was so happy to give the Crown Prince role to Nan Heng. Totally understood his own limitations. So happy he received a nice ending.
I like the romance in this series but I absolutely adore all the small moments and side relationships. The series develops characters and relationships so well.
Nan Rui grows up and shows he was worthy of his fatherās devotion. His relationship with his servant is also so touching. Just a few scenes here and there but so well done.
