Are you still obsessed with this series? I live in Thailand and I was just now watching the sunset. I felt so emotional and I decided to record a video listening to the OST. The sunset will never be the same for me.
An actor called Earth suffered sexual harassment from a producer of the show. Since he refused to correspond, the producer boycotted him, even banning him from some projects. That is why Earth was banned from the boyband composed by the cast of "2 moons".
My interpretation was that he simply wished "what if he was a girl" . Would Teh accept him automatically if he…
Have you noticed that after the Bra scene, Oh looks a bit more girly? When he receives the call from University telling him that someone gave up, he is beautifully girly. I don't think he is trans, but something is different after that.
This was an incredible masterpiece. It had the tone of early 2000s, gay, indie coming-of-age films that I absolutely…
The series was already planned since the beggining to have two parts. In the second part they should be already boyfriends in Bangkok. So the end you wanted was never intended, since the creators always planned from the beggining to show their lives together in Bangkok.
Do you think Oh will like to explore more of the Bangkok gay scene and that would make Teh uncomfortable?
One of the plots I have thought is exactly that! Oh will go to Silom (gay area here in Bangkok) and get involved with LGBTQ community. Maybe Teh wants to keep the relationship private.
I don't know. I was close to dropping ITSAY after episode 4 coz I found it over the top in many aspects, but at…
It doesn't matter if you checked or not. Comparisons have been made there.
People giving low scores on purpose are common either. It happens to all shows. I remember that Project S Side by side received many negative scored from Sotus fans. And recently ITSAY received many negative scores in one day.
Of course it is childish, but unfortunately common here.
This is not the best way to make a comparison. I love both. It's surprising for me that I don't instantly like…
Well, I don't like to make comparisons like that, but since there is a conversation here, I will say what I think.
I think ITSAY is better in all aspects you mentioned. The editing is better and musical choices are even better. Oscar level. When you watch this show, it seems a Japanese or south Korean production. I don't have this feeling with GSP.
I liked GSP a lot, but I have the feeling it is a bit amateur. You have always the same scenario, which makes the show looks like a low production sitcon. It might not bother most people, but it bothered me a bit.
Another issue I have with GSP are the dialogs. They are too didactic. I don't like dialogs such as: "Remember what I said about microagressions?". I find this cringy. I prefer when the director is able to tell things without saying it. A movie or series should use all elements possible to tell a story, not only dialogs. Talking through images is more difficult but more beautiful also. I think GSP lacks some poetry, although it has some marvelous moments. When Karl dances alone in the room, for example, it is a very very very beautiful and POWERFUL scene.
Still, I didn't like that much how they handled with Karl. I think the short time of the episodes jeopardized Karl's development from a closeted gay to someone who can accept his own sexuality. I think things happened too fast and we don't have his psychological development deep exploited as we had with Teh in ITSAY.
GSP is wonderful, in my opinion, because the director was able to make a wonderful show even though he had some production limitations.
Please, forgive me if I offended any of you, guys. I don't wanna create any kind of rivalry. I understand why people are comparing ITSAY and GSP. First, because they both aired simultaneously. Second, they have both closeted gay leads who struggle to accept themselves, while their partners were proudly gay. Third, they are far superior to the most other BL series. Not only in 2020, but in general.
Thx.

LOL
You are right! I saw many reactions and you described very well. I like Ipond the most.
But I would LOVE to see them in Silom together!

Today a girl went there and said that ITSAY she dropped ITSAY because she couldn't care about the characters.
I think this is normal.
Whatever. Haters gonna hate.
