Yes, it's such a joy watching it the second time and picking up on the details you missed the first time. I gasped…
I watched it purely for Cheng Yi because I really didn't like the story itself at all, but his acting is supurb there and even the romance is fun to watch. Also I like the voice actor who has done his earlier roles, though now I hope we'll get his real voice exclusively in the future.

oh wow, your words recounting that scene are enough to make me cry now. I felt Cheng Yi's acting so much in that scene, it was a hugely impactful moment for his character.
An alternate way of life?Li Lian Hua is happy. He knows what he wants now, a simple life with simple food, with…
That's something I really loved about this drama was that Cheng Yi's character is playing a wiser, older person (than most MLs in these kinds of dramas), he can speak with experience to his disciple and has matured a lot since his younger days. Rarely does a drama really give you that feeling of change in a character.
Now share my pain. i saw a video that said; "maybe the selfless caring Li LianHua remembered of Shan GuDao when…
oh gosh. That was the hardest part of this whole drama. I think you could be right, because there's a reason that scene with the revelations is so powerful to everyone. So sad...
Hi, I was wondering if you spoil me this, if it has a happy ending and if there is romance, especially a love…
Oh my goodness, I feel exactly the same way about xianxias! I did watch Cheng Yi all the way through Love and Redemption but I will forever refer to it as the show where I wanted to pull my hair out. Though all the actors gave their best, I watched it only for Cheng Yi because the story just wasn't for me.
That is why I only got through half of the first episode of Till the End of the Moon (thought I really like the main actor) because the ML was putting up with so much unfair suffering. Perhaps I could enjoy it if I'm in a different frame of mind. I prefer the "honorable enemies" type of stories where the conflict is something you can enjoy, not gnash your teeth over and feel angry.

I so agree with all your statements. Though actually a good romance is lovely, I definitely enjoy the bromance stories the most. I really really liked Blood of Youth's approach to romance, btw.
Arrgghh, saw the final episode and was awash with so many emotions all at once, till I saw the extra episodes…
I think you might like Stand by Me with Cheng Yi. That is his other show that I like, though MLC now has topped it. In it he plays a young emperor who is struggling against the powerful head eunuch and has made some dark decisions to get to where he is. It's a political drama and the main heroine is the person who can fight. Also Lu Lu (from the untamed) plays a BRILLIANT character that made me her fan. I especially love Cheng Yi's portrayal of this not-quite-good but deeply sympathetic young emperor who won't give up against an over-the-top and villainous eunuch.
I hope Cheng Yi's next dramas will only use his own voice. I couldn't back to watch his dramas with dubbing anymore.
I know! Within a few moments of the opening episode I had to pause and look up if it was his own voice. We should always be able to hear his own voice! He puts a lot of unexpected warmth and sarcasm into his words.
How does this compares with the blood of youth. Which one to start first.
I adore both, but I would recommend Blood of Youth first (great mysterious male lead and awesome fight scenes, and great collection of characters), and then MLC gives you more of the enigmatic hero's point of view, really interesting relationships between the characters, and a lot of emotions too.
I read the link but as I havenāt a clue what ātrafficā means in this context I am still baffled by itā¦
"Rival mafia gangs" is a great description for it! Baffling to me entirely. But I'm happy to hear that the audience is loving this show as much as I do. Cheng Yi is truly a talent.
Jiao Li Qiao makes a good Harley Quinn. What a crazy bat š
Yeah, I thought she was excellent! Sometimes these characters can become one-dimensional and annoying but I thought she was interesting and edgy enough all the way to the end.
This is my second time watching it and I love the characters and story, however can someone clarify something for me? I'm confused about what the actual geopolitical situation is between the 6 kingdoms and their overlord (Emperor). From what I understand, the 6 kingdoms have enough power to rival the Emperor and they're all jostling for power to take over. In terms of the entire country, the 6 kingdoms are technically allies and at peace, right? But they seem to be ready to break out into war at any moment. It's hard for me to understand why these kingdoms who are supposedly allies and even ready to create marriage alliances might start fighting each other (such as the confrontation at Liang City, where there was a corrupt leader). It's harder for me to grasp than the geopolitical situation in Novoland Eagle Flag, where I could easily understand the reasons the separate vassel states were going to war with each other.
