自10集开始,《千古玦尘》的剧情渐入佳境。
与之相应的是明显上升的口碑和热度。自上古转生成后池“那日”起,《千古玦尘》的热度便一直稳居骨朵网络剧热度榜榜首,甚至有几日突破80,正式迈入了匹配S+大剧“身份”的热度行列。
同一部剧同一批主演,却以第一世和第二世为分水岭面临着两种待遇。1.0的神界前期,对男女主飞速进展的感情线一些观众还不大理解;当剧情加速进入2.0的仙界,观众们开始爽女主之爽、甜女主之甜,快速推进的剧情与密集出现的感情爆点在契合着如今倍速观剧的快节奏的同时,终于走上原著“正轨”的剧情也赢回了一部分原著粉的认可。
在剧情超点迎来大结局的这一节点,骨朵对话了《千古玦尘》来自于福得文化的两位编剧李真如和星零,试图从专业编剧和原著作者的口中,探寻一些关于《千古玦尘》不一样的解读。
原著粉和“亲妈”,
不会平白给上古神界“加戏”
《千古玦尘》刚开播时,关于剧情的争议无一不集中在相比起原著有些“加戏”的上古神界。在原著中仅有几章的篇幅影视化后被拉扯成了十五集的体量,部分耐心较差的观众甚至开始怀疑本剧有“注水”之嫌疑。
每当优秀的文学IP要进行影视化改编,原著粉们总不免忧心会遇上个不了解原著的编剧遭遇被“魔改”。《千古玦尘》的两位编剧则可以说是世界上和这个IP“最亲”的人。其中一位编剧李真如,是在十八岁高三时一见“上古”误终身的原著粉,而另一位编剧星零正是原著《上古》的作者。由这样两位对原著充满感情的人来操刀改编,必然不会出现因编剧不了解原著而“魔改”的现象,虽然影视化的叙事顺序存在争议,但这却是她们多次调整、多方取舍后的“最佳方案”。
“这个剧本写了两年,光大纲和前几集就调整了很多次。”最初的一版剧本是严格按照小说的顺序,从后池时期写起,可当前五集的单集剧本出炉做评估时,两位编剧发现这种叙事顺序对没看过小说,或对小说印象减淡的观众并不友好。文字形式的小说可以通过内心活动来完成设置悬念和抽丝剥茧找真相的任务,但影视化后,大量的内心活动难以通过画面和表演展现。另外,李真如表示,作为一部以情感线和女主成长线为主的剧,《千古玦尘》无法专门设置一条悬疑线来挖掘后池与清穆背后的身世之谜,因而作为观众必备的“前情提要”,神界的白玦和上古必须先一步与观众见面。
神界阶段的存在是必然,但男女主第二集就因意外发生身体接触,进而对彼此暗生情愫的剧情推进仿佛上了高速,不免让部分观众感到有些摸不着头脑。关于神界时期白玦和上古进展飞速的感情线,两位编剧也坦然承认了在这一阶段的铺垫不足。“因为我们无法取舍。”李真如解释道,神界时期的大事件是上古殉世、白玦追随,为了让剧情顺利来到这一“结局点”,白玦对上古的情深程度是不可减轻的;但若是在两人的感情铺垫上增加篇幅,那么神界时期会更长,超过了正常的剧集结构,难以实现。
除了合理化男女主殉世的行为动机,上古神界篇还肩负着构建世界观的重任。《千古玦尘》不同于传统仙侠剧只分人、仙、魔三界,它另外构建了一个凌驾于一切世界之上的“神界”。过于庞大的世界观无疑增加了观众的理解门槛,两位编剧通过让上古以妖族为题试炼、天启灭世等剧情,使红血森林、渊岭沼泽这些后池时期的重要地点先行“露脸”,潜移默化地将各界的空间关系和逻辑关系输送给观众。
如此一来,原著中后池时期的不少经典的桥段与观众见面时便不会过于突兀。如为何清穆夺枪时会被太苍枪主动择主、大战三首火龙时为何清穆后池能进入灭世之地的结界而安然无恙等等。了解了前情,观众便更期待后续上古觉醒、景涧兵解、惩罚芜浣等爽感剧情。
没有刻意打造爽剧,
但与命运抗争不该是“男性专属”
观众苦仙侠师徒虐恋久矣,而恰巧《千古玦尘》的前几集看起来也是如此。
“亲妈”星零觉得,只要是一路看下来的观众,就可以体会到《千古玦尘》不同于以往仙侠剧的内核。在李真如看来,《上古》原著最适合影视化改编的地方在于女主上古的成长线和整本书的立意。“在立项的时候,同质化的产品是无法推进的,《千古玦尘》从根上来说就已经和传统的仙侠剧不同,不管进行怎样的改编,原著成长和抗争的大方向是不会变的。”
神界时,女主上古出生便是三界主神,即使转生成为被封印了神力的后池,也是天生上神命格,几次引动天雷惩治冒犯自己的景昭,让原本以“虐恋”为卖点的《千古玦尘》增加了不少“爽点”。
2011年星零连载小说《上古》时,读者对女主角时常开金手指的设定并不买账。“可能我本人比较喜欢看男频小说,所以比起写男女主的感情纠葛,我更喜欢刻画女主的成长线和与命运抗争的主题,我觉得这些标签和立意不应该是男频专属。”
两世转生,女主由上古转为后池,虽看似都是初期灵力低微一路逆袭的设定,细品之下却能发现后池身上较上古的洒脱,更多的是生活环境和尴尬的身份带来的谨慎和隐忍。上古两世为神采用相似的设定,除了运用对比的手法凸显人物外,星零更希望通过女主角的两次成长告诉观众,即使是神也需要通过重重磨难才能担当起主神之位。“我们做剧,除了服务观众,更需要引发观众在剧情之外的思考。我看到网上有人讨论上古的成长和反派玄一的三观,有人讨论这些,我觉得我们就成功了”。
作为编剧,李真如和星零在同步追剧时最关注的便是与剧情相关的弹幕,而这其中,两位最在意的就是观众对感情线刻画的反馈。“我们做的说到底还是女性题材的剧,而女性题材的市场在不断变化。可能以前女性题材比较集中在小白花和霸总的恋爱上,现在的女性观众们更爱看女主的成长,感情方面也更喜欢男女主势均力敌的。我们的剧顺应这种审美,也希望观众看的时候可以感受到。”
剧中,白玦强大、深情,以自己的修为帮上古打通灵脉,不惜耗费元神之力也要陪着上古在九幽历练,星零表示白玦的这种“无处不在”乃是她有意为之。与男频剧中女主主要作为“工具人”出现不同,女频剧注重塑造感情线的风格注定男主角的存在感不能太低。“如果女主什么时候都是自己一个人摆平所有事,男主就偶尔出现那么几回,观众肯定无法理解女主为什么会爱上男主,所以在上古或后池的成长线中,白玦一定是处于守护者的位置。”
《千古玦尘》,打破陈规进行时
国产仙侠剧由最早脱胎于神话故事,到《仙剑奇侠传》这类由游戏改编而来的轻“仙”重“侠”,再到以《花千骨》《三生三世》为代表的纠葛虐恋……仙侠剧几经变革,逐渐形成如今市面上常见的以轮回转世、爱恨纠葛为主线的模式。
但李真如并不愿将《千古玦尘》也套进这个壳子里。“当时星零在写小说的时候,市面上的仙侠小说都是用轮回转世来区分仙侠和普通古言,这是当时的审美趋势造就的文学结构。但到十年后做剧,这套模式已经不新鲜了,所以我们在剧本阶段尽量规避和弱化《千古玦尘》的‘转世感’。”与其将上古和后池看做两世为神,李真如更愿意称其为“觉醒前”和“觉醒后”。
“但原小说的框架已经搭好了,再怎么弱化,《千古玦尘》还是跳不出几生几世的结构。我觉得这件事不光是编剧,甚至我们小说创作者们都可以去思考一下,共同协力解决仙侠模式的问题。”
大模式动不了,《千古玦尘》的创新就只能从小细节上下手。
原著中上古殉世,白玦看着她的背影以为上古是带着对自己的怨恨离去。但在剧中,两位编剧将这段改成了二人临别互诉衷肠,上古将三界托付给白玦,其中信任和深情自不必说。
之所以有这样的改动,是因为星零在重理大纲时发现,如果将“误会”作为白玦和上古之间几世纠葛的“动机”,不足以撑起后面30多集的体量。李真如称这种“直球式”神仙恋爱是她们在剧本创作时的一大“创新点”。“剧本创作是需要跟着观众的审美而改变的,我们的观众看了这么多年男女主因误会产生的虐恋纠葛,早就审美疲劳了,我们更希望男女主之间是比较洒脱的。”
“我们想做的是创新的仙侠,同样的套路,观众看得疲惫,我们创作也很疲惫。观众一定是想看创新的,至于创新的程度如何配比,就需要我们创作者自行把握,太少被忽视,太多可能会在大纲阶段就被毙掉。” 《千古玦尘》的这次创新见于细节之处,或许没有被部分观众发现并认可,但对国产仙侠剧的创新性探索不该被否定。
《千古玦尘》的大胆求变只有两位编剧的勇气是远远不够的。李真如表示,在创作的自由度方面,出品方腾讯视频以及制作方西嘻给予了她们非常大的支持。“这样我们才能不止于做一部普通的仙侠剧,而将自己的价值观、创造力融入这个剧本中。”的确,在创新和突破方面,腾讯视频一直保持着自己头部平台的魄力,勇于试错,给与不同类型的内容以自由呼吸和生长的空间。
