I’m so curious now what changed for ChuChu judging from the comments in her betrayal. She was so supportive before even supporting selling the house and preventing the brother from breaking up with her. That’s strange 160 degree behavioural change.
Why were the earlier comments saying the princess died when actually she was the one doing state affairs and the brother acting as Regent.
Anyway, to the overall enjoyment of the show, I must say, it was near excellent. The characters all stayed to their true nature and the show was wrapped up nicely. I love when a drama is needed properly. The love scenes of all the characters were well done and I particularly liked the Emperor and the princess story (they had chemistry too).
Are you implying she had plastic surgery/fillers/etc? if so, you are wrong. you can plainly see in the scene where…
Oh please! I’ve watched enough of her dramas, both modern and costume alike to know. She suddenly has a longer jawline and stiff face for someone so young. She’s not even 30 yet. SMH!
This was so good until the last 4-5 episodes where plots were just being added for the sake of it. Anyway, still enjoyed most of it.
Zhao lusi needs to leave her face alone, jeez! She was so pretty why did she have to butcher her face. I am only commenting on it because it’s was so distracting all through this show. Especially with how she makes expressions. Even the makeup that comes with filming couldn’t hide it.
Off to find a new modern day drama. All I am watching now are costume-based.
Agree with you on that. Was a page turner and as you say neat ending. Gotta say, as a drama on female empowerment…
I also agree. She was believable as a teen, as young adult and as an older woman. She didn’t have to act too childish. I haven’t read the novel or even knew it was an adaptation. It felt very original to me.
Actually I have never understood this logic that just cause they are parents they get free pass to do shitty things…
True! It never made sense to me. I guess they don't want to send the wrong message to the Chinese society since they have been working really hard in China to preserve the family unit. But, still, shitty people (especially those who don't even think they did anything wrong) should always get their karma, parents or not.

Definitely agree with your submission. This is an outstanding and well produced drama. Yep, it felt like I was watching real people and their lives, that was how good the casts portrayed their roles.
