Even the best of C-drama can’t escape this constant use of flashbacks. I mean using flashbacks of scenes they already played (not flashbacks of something in the past that was never shown). I feel they use it to as fillers to elongate the TV series. Makes no sense and I find it extremely annoying. Why do I need constant flashback to a court scene that I have seen or an event they’ve already shown. Ranting over 😮‍💨

Can’t believe how good this show is. I have been binging it for a couple of days straight and my head hurt from irregular sleeping from it 🤭. Curious to see how it plays out. I’m half way through now.

you do realise s1 and 2 were filmed together...They just split them in two shows so they have more eps
Yes. Which is why the show didn’t need to be so long and be cut into two in the first place. Becaue they just kept filling the 2nd part with unnecessary drag until the last minute. It watered down the whole show.

The 2nd season made me come readjust my rating for this one since they are tied together. Should have ended the drama in season 1.

Didn’t need a 2nd part and dragged on for so longer with fillers just to make episodes for the 2nd season. 2nd season ruined the overall enjoyment the first season provided. So sad they did this. Anyway, glad it’s over and it was wrapped up well at least.

Yeah, just watched it. Went back and noticed it was after the post credits. Thanks.

OMG! I’m so happy I came back to read the comments, if not, I wouldn’t have known there was such an important scene after the credits rolling. I should have noticed it was like 5 minutes of rolling credits.

That little scene has made me give this an over 10 rating. A 20/10 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭.

Please C-dramaland, this and Filter should be the gold standard for drama production.

That code sentence of white head same heart, the running into his arms and him carrying her, and the kissing!!!!! I’ve got too many butterflies 🦋

Lol. They gave the emperor an out. After years of abusing and neglecting his own son and scheming against him,…
Becaue he blamed him for the death of his beloved empresss and felt it was a scheme for the Gao family to gain prominence that they enjoy. Add to the fact that he never really liked the consort who is Nan Heng’s mother. At least he accepted his wrong when he heard the truth unlike the SML who still blamed the ML after all the revelations. Shows he was just jealous of the ML.

OMG! To think I only really started enjoying this show from episode 15. But, my gosh! It completely blew my mind away.

It’s right up there with the drama Filter. So hilarious and I’ve always love Li YiTong and so happy to see her in this masterpiece. A 10/10 for me.

Such a unique concept drama like Filter and hilarious and serious at the same time.

Thank you to all the cast and crew. A wonderful production you guys gave us.

The ending, my goodness, what a show! Whoever wrote the script was definitely on steroids to come up with such a great story. Kudos to the director for translating it into this beautiful work.

And the casts (all of them) for being great actors too and bringing each character to life in an amazing way.

Do you want to know about him?
I know. But no mention of him until the very end. Like he never existed. Strange. Quite a loophole in wrapping up the show.

This was initially going well until towards the ending. Arghh! C-dramas need to learn wrapping up stories properly. Vey few c-dramas are able to do this.

Also, did not hear about former Crown Prince anymore even though he was never killed.

I think these last 9 episodes will change that. They really should have just done a 40 episode season and wrapped…
I hope so. There was no reason to divide it into 2 seasons.

The show has gone off the rails. It just goes round and round in circles. Not really moving forward. Just watching to finish it at this point. It’s either the ML or FL gets into some sort of situation and the other persons works to save them. Rinse and repeat again.

Although at some point this show started using flashbacks a lot (flashing back to scenes they already showed), may be as fillers, I enjoyed it overall.
Great action, wonderful actors and realistic conclusions.

He is just waiting for the right time to eliminate his wives and their families. He looks down on women and doesn't…
I know! 😭
