Dropping this one becasue of the animal cruelty in the first episode. The little boy should not have been allowed…
Oh please! I played with turtles like that as a child and nothing happens to it. It is curiosity. I do hope you treat all human beings with kindness first before jumping up in arms about playing with animals. 🙄

I finally had the time to binge watch the rest of this drama. I’m glad it didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait for the next part and hope it even does better than the first part. 🤞🤞🤞.

it's true that senior actors did a great jib, but Bailu and xukaicheng also did a great job considering that this…
I’m commenting on their general acting skills. Whether first time or not, a good actor would shine in any role. I’ve got nothing against the actors I mentioned and I watch their dramas.
But, here, the older actors’ acting allowed people to see their shortcomings in acting.

I don't know if it is beacause i am too young to understand or i have never had anything to do with police, this…
Because the show is about community policing (an actual branch of policing in China). This is really how it is, the people can quarrel with police officers, after all the people pay their salary 🤭.

I balled my eyes out in the last episode 😭😭😭😭😭. What a show! Of course the older actors carried the show, so minimising the weakness of some of the younger actors (Xu KaiCheng & Bai Lu).
Over all a great production. First time watching a modern day Chinese policing drama. What a fine work. I was invested.

Ok, Bailu’s character here is so annoying. Or maybe it’s the fault of the director. I have never seen a police officer disobey their superior, talk more of the police chief. But Bailu never takes orders and argues to the ground. Even the reason she is doing it makes no sense. She’s a police officer not a social worker.

I know policing in China is different and they do more of community service/policing, but still, I feel some are out of place.

She's lost a considerable amount of weight since her teenage years. If you see her dramas from 15 or so years…
Yes, she does look facially the same, just a slimmer face. I like actors who are committed to embodying the characters they’re playing well.

She lost weight for this role.
That makes sense considering she is portrayed as going through really hard times. Kudos to the makeup department for making the cast look like they are going through what they are.

She's good in this one. I've seen a few of her dramas, she always gets really good ones, but I am really impressed…
I agree. I find her pretty. She’s got dimples, people with dimples are beautiful ☺️.

I must say, Yang Zi is perfect in this type of shows where she is not made to act childish. Her acting talent is shining in this drama and she’s using her voice too. I feel all the pains she has felt so far due to how she portrayed them. Bravo!
Looks like she lost some weight ? Her face is a bit different or is it surgery or maybe she just got older? Not sure which. But she looks good and I love her acting here.

i'm a bit confused with the sudden downfall of wu family arc (part?) it feels rushed and wushan just storming…
You’ve got to pay attention. Everything and reason is shown. The drama has no loopholes.

Please spoil for me does she manage to save her mother from dying ?
Unfortunately, no. Because she didn’t understand the reason and how she died. It’s only after it happened she realised her mum killed herself and not the new concubine/best friend who killed her.

Genuinely curious, wouldn’t Jiang Meisun’s son be a lot older?
He was a baby when the main couple met. Let’s say the whole event happened within a year, plus five years later, that would make him about six years. Since he sounds more eloquent than the main couples’ daughter, then it can be assumed he is 6 years old.

Great show….just 3 pointers they should have brought his gray hair first episode look in the end on the stand…
A darker Song Mo, will be a dead one. The difference is to show the effect Dou Zhao has on him in their second life. He is controlling his anger so as not to die. Moreover, the rest of the army weren’t so close. They later came with the Crown Prince after the secret letter delivered by Ansu.

What a show 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! A historical C-drama that the ending wasn’t rushed and well thought out. I’m very satisfied and going into the Christmas holidays extra happy.

Thank you to the director, scriptwriter, producer, and other crew members for making such a gem.

Shout out to the casts too, they embodied their roles perfectly.

This is how idol dramas should be. Not those that make one lose their brain cells or with unnecessary twists and turns, angst, and childishness.
